  1. There was a listener to Rogues Radio who died August last year, I think her global was @Black Veil Bride, which if I remember was a renamed global. I think she played on Union, and was called Kerry in RL.

I have no idea who might know her or have screenshots.
  2. I posted this on the official Regen Radio thread over on the City Life forums, but I may as well post it here as well because as we have done in previous years, we're having a station based Fantasy Football League at http://fantasy.premierleague.com/ which is free to join. You sign up and choose a team for £100m, of which you select the best first 11 to play week in, week out.

Obviously the Rogues Gallery and League of Rogues are now defunct with Rogues Radio going , but that just means we set up a new league or two!

Regen Hearts is the traditional league, where the most points wins and can be joined using league code 8351-3538.

Regen Minds is the head to head league, where two players of the league battle it out, the one who gets the most points gets three points, the other 0, unless it's a draw and they get one each and so the table builds. You can join that league using code 8351-3571

You also have a number of other players who are subs in case one of your first 11 doesn't play and they take their place. You also have a captain who scores you double points on a game week, which can be changed each game week, and a vice captain if the captain doesn't play.

You also get to transfer one player free each week, or two if you didn't make a transfer the week before. If you need to you can also scrap the team and redo it, but you can do this once at any time, and a second time which is only valid during a few weeks in January. Complicated? Not really!

Make a team, join the league and the more the merrier!
  3. An update with the latest happenings over at Regen Radio.

Firstly, a big congratulations to Shen, Ictiv and Deus passing their trials and becoming fully-fledged DJs. The Orrery is having some technical issues getting the software to work but as soon as he does he will begin his trials and Streetsweeper and Mrs K have one more trial set to go, they're just on a mini-break but will be back very soon. If you want to DJ for us, please visit the site and send the Fish or Alpha a PM and they'll be in touch.

This coming Monday (13th August) DJ Phoenix will be airing the session recorded by Lucy Sian exclusively for us at Regen Radio. We have been playing her beautiful cover version of The Beatles classic Dear Prudence for the last couple of weeks now but this is the first chance anyone will have to hear the full session. Lucy has also recorded 2 of her own songs with a stripped down arrangement that gives them a very intimate feel and this is a truly special session and one that is not to be missed, in fact tell your friends and tell them to tell their friends! You can hear DJ Phoenix from 10pm at www.regenradio.com and for those wanting to know more about Lucy Sian please see our previous post and make sure you check out her website and Soundcloud page: http://www.regenradio.com/forum/view...?thread_id=235

Finally, you still have a week or so to sign up for the fantasy football at http://fantasy.premierleague.com/ using league codes using league code 8351-3538 and 8351-3571
  4. Another thing we've carried over from our Rogues Radio days is our fantasy premier league mini-leagues. Football to many, soccer to others, 'who cares' to the few!

http://fantasy.premierleague.com/ is free to join, you sign up and choose a team for £100m, of which you select the best first 11 to play week in, week out. Join the fun, you've a few weeks to construct the best team. So far there are myself, Shada Wolf and Saint signed up, so we need a few more players. If you know something about football (soccer) or whether you know nothing at all the game can be played by anyone. Sometimes blind luck counts for more than you know!

Yes, Mrs Kane and Streetsweeper do a double act set, which is great. They've been doing stuff on a Tuesday night, covering an empty slot in the schedule and are due to start in their regular Friday slot at 8pm at the end of August, with the Fish moving to Saturday at 8pm to take over from the Sarge who is now a guest DJ.

We've got a few trial DJs at the moment, with Shen coming back to the 10pm Tuesday slot, Ictiv on Saturday at 6pm, The Orrery Sunday at 10pm and Deus at midnight Saturday, but Shada Wolf is now a full DJ having 'passed' his trial sets!

Going to update the schedule now!

We do a wide variety - rock (mostly!) though we are known to do dance tracks, punk, ska, musicals, soundtracks, comedy tracks as well as pop and the rest. We.. okay, me... also go in to the sillier side of things, with Wombles and the Muppets and people still stay tuned in!

If you tune in during the auto-dj, you'll get a sampling of the tracks we play, there's a good mix and of course there's the DJs, a number of whom post the tracks they play during their sets!

It's a good and eclectic mix, even if I do say so myself!
  7. We've had a few changes to the schedule, with a few DJs moving nights and now we have a new trial DJ - Ictiv! Ictiv is from Finland, adding to our collection of Nordic DJs, and I know there are more coming soon!

As we get them, I'll update the schedule at http://boards.cityofheroes.com/showp...9&postcount=11 - it's starting to get to be quite a full schedule, especially on the weekends, so tune in and enjoy!
  8. From the ashes of Rogues, Regen has risen!

Regen Radio has most of the old gang and some new faces as well! Check out www.regenradio.com and I've started a new thread on the City Life forum http://boards.cityofheroes.com/showthread.php?t=290991

Cheers Dest! It's starting to get pretty exciting and I have to give a shout out to Fish, Alpha and Pretty Pirate (who is back with us under the name Dear Maria) for working very hard at getting it all set up. Without them, we'd not have done so much so quickly.

Sadly, the opening night for me will be a pre-recorded set as I'm doing my theatre stuff again. It's quite likely the first half of my first Regen set will also be pre-recorded, due to theatre commitments.

That happened my opening set of Rogues too, so we really are back in business!

  13. About a month ago, the EU based radio station Rogues Radio closed it's doors and became a thing of legend, leaving a fair few unemployed DJs and empty airwaves. It was a time of sadness, but a group of brave DJs decided that in the best traditions of showbiz, the show must go on.

Regen Radio was born, and in the weeks that followed a dream became a reality and finally we were ready to announce ourselves to the world.

http://www.regenradio.com is our home, with forums, chat room and currently an auto-DJ we've named Artoo, who will be warming up the airwaves until the official launch night on Saturday 23rd June at 8pm UK time.

All the DJs will be there, either live or with a pre-recorded slot and we will open with a party. You'll hear from some familiar names - Phoenix, The Sarge, Alpha, Fish and Notty to name but few - and some new DJ talent who are starting out for the first time.

Regen Radio launches in 2 weeks, and while we have a strong EU base, new DJs from further afield are also welcome. Visit the site, sign up to the forums, join in on our global chat channel regenradio in game and tune in to Artoo and we will be with you soon. The clock is ticking!
  14. Was just wandering down memory lane and I saw these, posted just after our launch night:

I like to think I delivered!

The last two years have been great fun for me, hopefully for you, and I've pleased and proud to have entertained you on a Thursday night, and Thursdays at 10pm will be a lot less fun for me for a while. To list everyone on here would take so long and I just wanted to say thanks. It has been my pleasure. We could not have done this without you, the listeners.

If you can join me this evening for one last throw of the dice I'd be grateful because I intend my final Thursday to be the best set I've ever done on Rogues Radio. For our UK/European listeners it will be a late show (currently looking at a 2am UK time finish, and for our non-EU cousins, come and join the party!

Team Thursday bows out from 5.30 UK time with DJ Bella, Alpha is on at his usual 8pm slot and then me at 10ish. Here's to us, to you and to Rogues Radio!
  15. Rogues Radio is closing.

Next Saturday will see the very last show on Rogues Radio, hosted by DJ Coin and then the streams will be turned off. The sets played this week will be the last by our DJs, so please tune in if you can as we say goodbye.

EJ, Notty and the Sarge have said their farewells, tomorrow is the turn of the Fish and Phoenix, Tuesday is Saint and Rosie, Wednesday brings you Donut and Big Jay, Thursday is Bella, Alpha and me - Escalus. Friday will be Terra and Saturday brings just over two years of music to a close with Knightingale and Coin.

Two years, two great death races, competitions, specials... it's been fun while it lasted and maybe one day you'll hear from some of us again. I hope you can join us and raise a glass or two to Rogues Radio, rebels of the airwaves no more.
  16. Some Rogues Radio news!!!

First off, we'd like to welcome DJ Bella who is our latest trial DJ and is on air from 6pm UK time on a Thursday, replacing Crazy Cat who has stepped down (for now...). Bella did his first trial last week, and his second one is coming tomorrow. If you missed the first one, please tune in and support him. He's really very good.

Secondly - (said in my best Noddy Holder voice) IT'S CHRISTMAS!!! So it must be time for the first ever Rogues Radio Advent Calendar!
Click on the link http://www.roguesradio.com/index.php...d=84&Itemid=82 to be taken to the Calendar, click on each date to see what's hidden behind and enjoy the special treats from our DJ's! Yes, we know it's a bit late in starting but at least we did what we could! We'll do better next year.

Third and finally, we'd like to say a big well done to Warbarker who bid on www.realworldhero.com and 'bought' himself a DJ show. He eventually won it for $150.01, which is £96.68 or 114.97 Euros (no idea where the Euro symbol is on my keyboard...) so a big Gratz to Warbie. His selected DJ(s) and song choices will be broadcast in due course and we will let you know!

That just leave us to say tune in to Rogues Radio over the next few weeks, where we have various Christmasy shows, culminating in DJ Coin's Musical Review of the Year on New Year's Eve! It's bound to be a brilliant show, so please tune in.

Have a great Christmas and a happy and healthy New Year!
  17. All the DJs have their favourite time of year, and Halloween is no exception, so we have a number of Halloween specials to keep you going while you bash zombies over the head with pool cues! Or something.

Tonight DJ Terrahawk will be bringing you at LEAST 5 hours of classic Halloween songs, plus taking your requests on Friday 28th from 7pm.

Sunday 30th sees DJ Notty bringing all his FANGS a Vampire special.

This is all topped off for Halloween itself. Monday sees the triumphant return of The Fishy and Knighty Show with ANOTHER Halloween spectacular. Last year was War of the Hypno Animals, this year sees a Zombie special with: Zombie Apocolypto!! This will start at 8pm and will be 3 hours of all The Fishy and Knighty characters plus music.

At 11pm, Rogues Radio will be playing you a REAL Zombie apocolypse. That's right. Reports will be coming in in between zombie related songs.

Three days of Halloween fun - join us, join in and get ready to do the Monster Mash!

If neither plays, no double score that week, which will make things interesting, but other than other than that, it's pretty much the same as last year. You can make a free transfer every week, if you don't make one it will carry overto the next week but only one will ever carry over. There are two wildcards, where you can start your team all over again, with one at any point in the year and one in January.

Once again, I've set up the two leagues:

The Rogues Gallery - 5057-2531 - which is the traditional get as many points as you can throughout the season.

The League of Rogues - 5057-2540 - the one on one league, with the person getting the most points of the two getting 3 points for a win, 1 point for a draw and the league table being compiled on those results.

The Escalusians are back in business and bloody hell - it's not an easy year to set up a team. May the best man, or woman, win!!
With no sign of an official City of Heroes league, join the Rogues Radio leagues instead. No idea what to do during the maintenance window on the live servers? Use that hour to create a team and join the fun!! What else are you going to do?

  20. Perhaps the teleporter isn't a teleporter but a handy disintegrator that eliminates the dead body and activates a clone version in the 'hospital'.

Why do the surviving 8 only use wakies? They know the truth!
  21. Good news! Hot on the heels of Crazy Cat, is another new trial DJ, so give a warm welcome to the newest RR recruit - The Saint!

He made a debut last night, teaming with Pretty Pirate on her show but tonight from 11pm UK time he'll be flying solo, so please tune in and give him your support, especially as the Tuesday line-up now runs from 7pm with DJ Ascendant, followed at 9pm by Rosie! If you'd like to try out as a Rogues Radio DJ, send a PM to Coin and he'll be glad to help out!

And don't forget to sign up for the Fantasy Premier League - we've quite a few in so far and the more the merrier!
  22. http://fantasy.premierleague.com/ has been updated and the new season has begun. Football to us, soccer to our US friends

Not sure if there's going to be a City of Heroes one yet, but the Rogues Radio leagues have been set up again and further details are available on the Rogues Radio thread here:

  24. 30 June sees my 100th set for Rogues Radio! One year and two months after the launch of Rogues Radio - not bad going by any stretch of the imagination!

So what have I got lined up?
    • I have have a set of songs to rock out and party to!
    • I have a new AE arc, based on Rosie and Coin, called Lovers in a Dangerous Time (493971)
    • There will be a quiz!

Come and join the celebration, because it's going to be a blast!
  25. Very soon I will be hosting my 100th set on Rogues Radio.

I am counting a set as half an hour or more so this doesn't count the two pieces during February where I explained why I was away, or the 1st birthday do, as those were appearances, not sets and don't count. Neither does the cameo on Coin's set when he had requests requested on air. It's been a fun, with highs and lows, and I've been pleased you've let me share it with you. There's been poetry reading, seasonal celebrations, shows of remembrance, moments of great sadness and personal tragedy, and the show has gone on.

I am thinking of something special for the show itself - the EscCam will be making a welcome(?) return, I'll be playing some of my favourite tracks from the last year as well as launching the new Rogues Radio AE arc, but if there is anything special that you would like to hear, let me know and I'll get to work. If there's something you think would work well, not necessarily a song, let me know.

I can make plans, but this is as much a party for you as it is for me as without you all wanting to listen, and being entertained by me, I'd not have made it very far. You guys rock, but you knew that!
