I did think of a swimming relay in Perigine island where you have to swim PAST monster island and back. The danger wouldv been either take the safe route around the island (and thus a slower time) or risk going through it (and if you survived a better chance of winning), however due to work hours and time with gf i can only raise roughly 150 mill per week on casual play.
If by the end of it all i find i still have spare cash then i'll make an announcement a week or two prior to it. Wouldnt be until august that though (IF it happens).

Based on the figures you posted 1.11 billion influence is a lot for one person to earn, let alone give away. Should we call you Farmer 1damz . And if you were fortunate enough to win all 5 influence events (stated as of 3:40pm on the 18/06) on 1 alt, 830 million is one hell of a booty. You'd have purple recipe complete sets, coming out of your ears.

Question - Would the Skulls event be limited to outdoor mobs, or do missions count too? as this would disadvantage casual players completely, as 8 man farm teams could easily get over 1m skulls (or more) in a 24 hr period?
Answer - You can't differentiate between the two, without having the devs alter the game coding for the day. Farmers will prevail on that mission, so that's one that I won't even attempt to start.

I wanted to have a mixture of events that some low levels will win and some higher levels will win. For example a low level character is going to win the skyway city dash while a high level character is almost certainly going to win the Skulls event. I am going to be very interested to see what the highest skull figure is just to see how badly someone wants that influence

hehe well i havent exactly got a farming toon I use my main, my illusion/rad troller so not exactly the best to farm with . . . . . . . although i do have a secret great method/mission to have 3 npc characters clear the map for me *gasps at the secret*

I'm not conviced a high level alt will win the skull event. My thoughts are once you get above a certain level you can 1 shot skulls and that level isn't that high. Chances are once you can one shot them you'll have stamina and a travel power.

I think the problem may be finding skulls if everyones after them. I can see the Hollows (seems to be lots of skulls there now), Kings and Perez full of heroes with few if any skulls surviving for long.

However I'm not sure the in game totals are updated correctly or very often. My wife and I hunted Founders one night for 4 hours each killing about half the targets, she was on the list I wasn't and when we checked the next day on "yesterdays" kills still no sign of me. Could be a bug, could be cos we teamed, might make the 8 man team pointless though

I'll have to dig out 2008 and see how well he does.

Certainly about 2 years ago they were pretty darn appalling - suspecting they weren't very good I kept an eye on them sometimes when doing the hunt badges. It was quite common that I'd solo the best part of a 100 or so of mob X in a single zone and the highest entry on the days chart was about 20 or 30-odd with my character not placing.

I also did some testing with hunting at different times in case it was some time phasing difference (e.g. if the server ran a day from 04:00 GMT then anything between midnight and 4am for UK residents would show up in the apparently wrong day).

Think it was about then that I stopped bothering to ever look at the terminals...


I guess it's maybe not that big an issue as long as people take part in the spirit of the Olympics... and considering that this is being done as free entertainment by another player it'd be petty to moan if the terminals wrongly represented your score.

BTW - the games look a darn fine offering - I'm hoping to get some time free to participate in some.

If im completely honest, iv got the influence prizes at such a high level to try and create more of a "competition" feel to it. If i did put the prizes at a reasonably low level then;

A) Not as many people would turn up because these days you can earn **** million quite easy on a high level
B) Some of the events will feel more real and thrilling if everybody really wants to win For example the skyway city dash (since most people seem most interested in that one), that one is going to be the most thrilling because everybody has an equal chance to win.

As much as i would love to be able to keep the influence low (would hold it today otherwise ), its just a fact that a competition with higher/better prizes will get more participants than a lower competition.

Just my attempt to try get a large group of players together again and have a good genuine laugh

(also if this one goes well i'll more than likely hold a winters game event, depending on whether the feedback from event 1 onwards is good and the ski slope re-opens or not )

Question on "A Point To Proove" if its Free for All, are self rez powers aloud? Something like a self rez could make the fight go on for ever.
And what about ppl teaming up? Someone could bring a great combo and first and second place and take all the rewards.
Theres probably more things to exploit on a event like that but those are 2 i just thought of

You're right there Heart_Attack. I checked Wiki and you get the Raptor pack from lvls 5-10. Although I read the description again and it does say "RUN" with the capital letters so it begs the question about jumping and using the raptor pack. As I was thinking about having a go at this event and if you can't jump etc then I will have to rethink my strategy!

how about a swimming competition rstricted to levels 10-14 ?

swim 4 lengths of IP with a check in station half way on each length (on teh islandin the middle). If Lusca gets in the way... well, you'd better swim faster!
