Are you changing the plan at all for the AV buffs at all? Or are Mitos different?

[/ QUOTE ]

The Mitos aren't classed as AVs anymore so afaik the recent changes haven't affected them (still have the same number hps as before)

[/ QUOTE ]

Well Afaik the GMs seem affected as well.. ALthough we propably will have enough debuffers to take down anything we need without much of a hitch.

[/ QUOTE ]

Since I5 (I think) Hami and his Mito's are classed differently all together. AV's have been buffed, so have GM's. But Hami's stats seem to be the same HP wise.

Unless they've changed his Hold Resistance, shouldn't be much different from the last raid.

Apparently Hami has changed in Issue 7 - now he can still attack while held

LINK

So, to summarise: If he's not held he'll spawn mitos as normal. If he's held he won't spawn mitos but he can attack. The question is, how can you know if he's held or not if he can still attack when he's held? Hopefully it won't affect us too much with our "holding to death" strategy and our large number of holders.

You can actually see the hold animations at his base, and some of them in the circle of the blob if you keep your settings high enough, so it shouldnt be a problem.

From CuppaJo on the US forum:

So - here it is.

Added to the patch notes:

The Hamidon has been increased in difficulty. It is now capable of using one of its attack powers even when Held, Slept, or Stunned.

Evidently Hammy got a laser beam on it's head a long time ago but just now figured out how to use it.

The Mitos are AVs and are acting according to this patch note:

AVs/Heroes and Giant Monsters now ignore threat level damage multipliers for different Archetypes. They are still affected by Taunt as before.

Meh, won't slow us down. It'll just mean that the tank team will have to keep tanking even after he's held.

Doesn't really affect our raid either, except for maybe the Mito clearing might take a bit longer. We'll have to see how it goes on Sunday.

If his 'mito spawn for each hero in zone' is reconized as attack-power, we got some big (lag) problems.

And since when has a 1celled entity a head?

Some of the US Hami farmers (specific SGs, I forget which ones) use a strategy of end draining Hami to oblivion so he cant do anything, I wonder if this may be a strategy we may want to test at a later raid (assuming we can get enough drainers, if not Im sure plight would be happy to try soloing hami

[/ QUOTE ]I tried, it didnt work

with an end pool of 1000 (im guessing) it will take the equivalent of about 30 short circuits to drain him, add rad and dark debuffs and prolly less, the conning of GMs is weird for end drain, a kraken is pretty easy, but a DE GM in PI is far harder? aaaaaaanyways, even with Hami's recovery (end is usually less that HP afaik for monster thingemies) a few SCs should flatten his recovery, but not for many seconds.

Botty, I'm presuming, PA drop, heal blanket, stroll in, debuff, drain, kill?

WELL UP FOR IT, WE HAVE TEH NUMB0RZ!1

That seems rather counter-productive as captured foes can't be attacked either.

That, and the fact that I doubt it actually works. If it did, why would anyone need a Hami tank for the mito clearing? You could just have an FFer or a Sonic/ perma caging him whilst everyone else cleared mitos.

[/ QUOTE ]It wouldn't work, it works on AV's, but not GM's, and hammy has much higher mag protection than a GM. You'd need multiple ones to hold hammy, and stacking them would be very hard since after he's affected, no more powers will affect him until the intangibility wears off.
