'lo folks it's all gone a bit mental around these parts hasn't it? Liking the whole blue colour scheme going on..

I've been away for ages, mostly playing WoW these days in between trying to get life sorted out. I did try quite some time ago now to play for a bit but all I managed to do was very barely figure out how to get wings for my villian and then be overwhelmed by the amount of changes and the differences between controlling CoX and WoW and I just wasn't up for relearning absolutely everything apart from hitting a few pretty buttons on my action bar, and ignoring the full Salvage, Inventions, Giraffes and Sharks and whatever else tabs :S

I don't even want to begin to try and figure out chat again, it was hard enough back in the day, so have finally remembered the subtleties of my login and password and managed to get into these forums to say hello.

I can't say I'll be around much, job and all, but I would like to give my warmest regards to you all and anyone who might remember me (the target of this growing wall of text). I have became quite involved in WoW - although not so much these days thankfully - and won't quit permantely just yet or anything, but my mind does wander back to the community here occasionally.

Since this is most likely going to be a temporary visit, I can't express properly how much I would love to have some solid bridges with any of you via facebook and / or msn at all. When I played CoH I went through some real life things and since then, more real life things, and then some more, and they're still happening of course but I'm not quite the same person anymore, even if I do still like to say random things and derail discussions with waffles or how that fried egg is still bubbling and cannot be served. However I appreciated the unique company here and I hope, any friends I may have made.

I can't remember any names, I know there's been a few on heroes side and the villians ones have always been entertaining so far.

What was the one where you fought a Crey superpowered clone with electricity powers at the end? That arc was pretty good. And some arc with the girl in Founder's Falls.

Yeah I play my characters differently here and after a while, WoW too. Most people don't realise who my healer or tank is until I say or someone calls me Fraz in chat due to me being more chilled out for some reason on my healer or talking in character for the sake of it on my tank xD

I think after playing characters and using their abilities for a certain amount of time you get connected to them and attached to them that much that your mind subconciously expresses yourself through them in subtle ways, regardless of whether you're a roleplayer or not.

Seriously? I think I'm kind of stalking him to be honest. Everytime I come back to this game (right now I have no money to put time on my WoW sub so will play on my villian a bit until my wages come in xD) I hope he's about and I hope he still has his funky avatar, and I hope he remembers me and I hope he still has funny macros and I hope he doesn't mind I kind of used his name for my tank in WoW (but Plighttrawler or Plightbringer WOULD NOT FIT GNASHING AND WEEPING OF TEETH) and I hope he tells me he loves me.

Also in game I miss Frazzle.d being able to kill everything in pvp and not run away from things - where did all this deflect and dodging my snipe come from? xD

I also miss:

-all the friends I knew on CoH / CoV

-all the chat that was everywhere, wth happened to Forumites and Arena? Even broadcast seems quiet.

-all the random spa.. discussion on forums

-Fire Guardian!!

-Dying so much people created macros for it

-My damage rotations. How the hell did I play my chars?

-All the folks I could recognise from the forums

-The pvp and the pve and the Hamidon and the other random stuff I think I should have been doing when I wasn't getting lost looking for the %5 end accolade badges in that wood place.

-Knowing what the hell to do in this game! The camera is gahghrgahghrghgahgrhghaghgrh.

-the guy with the avatar that had like half an episode of the original xmen cartoon compressed into it, Max? Because I totally wanted to use it for my msn.

Yeah, a couple. Frazzle.d is just really me, but Chinch Bug my villian is just that perfect creation I'm really proud of, from the description to the build (but will need to go for AS since the class ability really needs it, originally wanted nothing to do with it because I eat things slowly omnomnomnom) and Ambassador of Ice is another one I quite enjoyed creating, researching to try and come up with a decent rp background was intriguing.

Oh yeah and Sea Otter, it's an OTTER and he SWIMS REALLY FAST hahahaha win.

It's still one of the top Claws powers ranged or not. You might want to test using Confront before going for it - Taunt in PvP has changed and it's not as effective as it was. SR alone also won't let you see a Stalker running both Hide and Stealth - not that every Stalker does this though.

Indeed, but I try and make my builds balanced to suit my playstyle which is a mix between PvE / PvP - Confront on a SR scrapper could come in damn handy, used effectively. Also, FA would see through Hide + Stealth (as an SR, I'd also pick up Conserve Power.. but meh).

Stealth / Hide Stalkers, as an SR, wouldn't really bother me - with Quickness and my non-travel power movement (intended for extreme melee combat freedom) I can outrun them anyway (Stealth makes you somewhat slower).

Throw a couple of yellows into that and you're singing.

However, I do know that Taunt got nerfed somewhat for PvP, but it should work in the same vein as Placate - they can't target anyone else, they're only invisible to you - so with a good team you could probably have the team either buff / heal / rez you and take care of the otherwise distracted Stalker.

It needs a 'tag' system - when you (and your team) are attacking the pillbox, it is YOURS and YOURS alone - no one else can click the glowie unless they are in your team or helped to take down the pillboxes.

Badge Hunters is all well and good but it's annoying when they moan about being attacked in pvp zones (although risk = reward) but then effectively grief others.

I already have my own Medievil knight at level 20, but if you're still around when I get back..
