Although that might be true closing the MA would be the last thing on their list to do, not after all that promotion. If there is so many damage from the farming than it will be too late anyway.

I think the lack of new content is going to be the end of the game.

Think its probably too late to close it now, the whole boxed version and all. I was never really for it to start with, rather have had them putting out new arcs themselves than spending this time on a faulty tool that was delivered before it was ready and yet already had to be put back. But then its been a while since an issue release made me smile and I've actually had more joy from the boosters packs and more anticipation for the next one of those than for I15.

And here I thought this would be a rational post proclaiming that, yes, MA is indeed the new end-game content. Ah well.

Rational post? Not seen any of those since the CoV beta board, what do they look like?

Arguing about MA and farming is the new forum endgame. Does that count?

Re: MaX

MA probably fits in as a fair part of CoX endgame, although I think it's more important role is to free up resources to allow the creation of dev-created endgame.

to be entirely honest, I'm not surprised the stuff you're paying an additional charge for is better. It's sad though, that the "free" issues we get don't work as intended (or at all in some cases) since these are supposed to be the things that keep people playing. Shiny stuff like more costumes, some minor powers and emotes are great. I love some of that, but we're paying for stuff that, lets be honest, a lot of the time was included in the old Issues, and NC shouldn't be taking as a given purchase for us.

Personally I think it might have been a good idea to make the Architect a booster pack type purchase. That way those of us who want to tell stories could do at a small fee, but everyone else would have been free to carry on as normal with some nice costume pieces and maybe a dev-created arc or two. It'd also have given them time/money to work out the kinks in the MA/AE system before it went live and they had to do patches on a seemingly daily basis.

@craggy see me on Union for TFs, SFs (please!) or just some good ol fashioned teaming.

Remember that I13 and I14 were originally a single issue - so alongside MA the devs did plan to deliver a couple of extra arcs alongside it.

All academic at the moment since the DBserver is inaccessible yet again. If they're hoping to keep customers this ain't the way to do it. Another vet award tomorrow - could be the last one at this rate...

But could the forums have handled the new style PvP and the MA farm problem at the same time? Or would the boards have melted?

I think the devs have installed a brassneck cover on the servers.

They seem to be impervious to anything said that's critical about MA or PvP now.

I'm pretty sure it was criticism of the farming exploits in the MA that prompted Positron to make his statement the other day

But we can try
We could move the discussion from the MA being the end of CoH, to ideas and suggestions for more end game content
