Now we all have our favourites! We all have those arcs/missions in that if we get invited to it we go all gleeeeeee with wooness. Share your arcs here and help share the greatness of it so others who havent heard of it may do so!

Now i have two personal favourites here. Firstly the "magic man" arc, even though its nothing really special its the concept and the final battle that really made me fall in love with it.
Has to be said that the final boss battle is my favourite fight ingame, the first time i faced him i died due to me laughing so hard from the sheer awesomeness!

Secondly i'ld like to add a relatively new arc created in the same issue. Now im not sure what the arc name is but its the one when you have to recover a magical artifact the warriors have stolen and hercules wants your help in defeating the guys who have took it.
Why is it my second favourite? Because im a BIG fan of sheer chaos/fighting against obscene numbers mission, and again the final mission when your facing the boss and you get all those ambushes when your in a full team is just one of those "omg how did we survive?!?!" moments

Long live team carnage!

So post your favourite arcs and lets see if enough people chose the same ones lets get a team going to do them!

Has to be Doc Buzzsaw and both of her arcs, though Die by the Freak is my most favoured. Teh S00p4rFr34k is such an interesting character and looks pretty cool too. I have 2 toons based around him and the Doc.

I don't recognise either of the arcs you mention, but then I haven't played blueside for ages (or are those MA arcs?).

My top five favourite Dev-created contacts/arcs in the game are all redside:

1) Seer Marino's "Oh Wretched Man", for the emotional writing/story - best story arc in the game for immersion.

2) Viridian's "The Conference of Evil" for its fun gameplay and the perfect Nemesis moment at the end (and how the other Archvillains react to that is priceless, especially The Center, Requiem & Arakhn)

3) Vernon von Grun's arcs (all 4 of them), for the characterful writing on his contact briefings - everyone loves a mad scientist!

4) Doc Buzzsaw's "Heavy Metal Doctoring", for both her briefings and the dialogue of the 3 Freaks in the final mission. Sadly with the increased xp gain these days I rarely have the Bling badge in time to unlock this contact, but there's always Ouro.

5) Westin Phipps' arcs (all 3 of them), for the writing on his contact briefings and just the sheer despicableness and villainy therein.

I have played through most of the blueside arcs (admittedly a while ago now) and very little comes close to this quality imho, though I did find the Warshade arcs from Shadowstar really well written and interesting, especially the writing of the clues.

Yeah they're the midnighter arcs for heroes between 20 - 25.

I like the whole patron arc villain side when you turn against your patron, are told you are the "destined one" and are then sent forward in time to create Recluse's Victory and then it all goes wrong...
I just like the time travel basically. Its just so comic booky!

I don't know about that actually, there was one arc redside which involves nemesis trying to convince me that I'm a nemesis replicant. to which I thaught "ok, i'll prove I'm not a robot. To the x-ray machine!"

Kinda flimsy if you ask me

I really like the hollows arc, no matter how many (million?) times I go through it, I always enjoy it.

Hero side my fave arc is probably the Faultline arc - everything with Arbiter Sands is just gold (well silvery-white anyway).

Villain side theres many for me.

Crimson Revenant's hero hunting arc is awesome, Vernon Von Grun for the mad science hilarity, Westin Phipps as lets face it the guys great, the entire VEAT arc and Darla Mavis for her entire revenge on Aurora Borealis.

A lot of the higher end Villain arcs. Kuh'Rekt, Von Grun, most of the others I've never got round to.

Radio, Slot machine and Television are a nice little subgroup.

I loved that one, although I have to say I did it as a solo cloaked sniper with super jump to get into places they couldn't reach me, so there wasn't so much "how did I survive that?!" but even without that, the finale was a great mission.

My favourite, though, was probably the quadruple Striga Isle superarc from Stephanie Peebles, Long Jack, and Tobias and Lars Hansen. If I only get to pick one, I'll pick Lars' 'A Madman's Council', because I loved all that super-spy sneaking into the Council base stuff, but really I'd like to pick the whole thing.

I can't remember any names, I know there's been a few on heroes side and the villians ones have always been entertaining so far.

What was the one where you fought a Crey superpowered clone with electricity powers at the end? That arc was pretty good. And some arc with the girl in Founder's Falls.

Spoiler:

On the villian the one where you killed the Scrapyard's widowed wife (I think?).

Ohoh and the one with Hamidon's girlfriend xD

All of the high-level villain arcs I've played. The lower levels are okay, some perfectly fun things, and then you get to Grandville and suddenly contacts with utterly awesome arcs are just throwing themselves at you from all directions. I don't know who wrote all those stories, but they really need to get them back to write some more. I'm honestly quite excited that I'm just getting another character up to that level, so I can run the arcs again, and also see if I've missed any other great ones in the same range.

Blueside, Faultline is a lot of fun. And also the Carnie arc in Founders, where the contact starts acting oddly.

Westin Phipps' arc is, IMO, the best-written one in the game, because its the only one that actually affected me; there's a palpable sense of creepiness and evil to it that is lacking in even the other, very well-written high-level villain arcs.

IMO the villain arcs are just better written than the hero ones - with the possible exception of the Faultline arcs which are great fun to play and probably because Faultine and Villain arcs came at a much later date than the original game. This does raise the question as to whether or not some of the older arcs should be revisited, rewritten and made more.... well.... fun. Its a shame MA only caters for five mission arcs or I would have a go at some of them myself

Case in point - The Freedom Phalanx TF's are well overdue an overhaul.

Go. Hunt. Kill mages / clockwork / freaks / council / Crey / DE.

...Yeah. Though in several cases, the unique map designs for the final parts or great AV designs almost redeem the somewhat-samey stories (ran a Synapse TF yesterday, and three identical missions on the fly, with 2/3 identical maps, is just... meh.)

Also, the arc name was Crown of Glory, and it was Odysseus, not Hercules, that wanted it back. And the mission with all the ambushes was the second of three, not the final one... I wonder if we are talking about the same arc, here

Used to really like the Pretorian Arc Blue side, but I think I've played it too much

Red side, Westin Phipps' arc about the Freaks teacher, it's the one arc that really made me feel like an evil villian. I hate it and love it at the same time!

That one makes me feel dirty.... and not in a good way. Westin Phipps creeps me out.
