Bad_Influence was the Dead Horseman by default, but can be replaced.
Let's get this forumocalypse moving people! I haven't got all night! Well, technically I do, but... uh...

Those are server issues, not a vBulletin problem.
I visit several vBulletin boards that get far more traffic than the CoH forum and they run just fine.

Yah, I looked into it a little deeper. Turns out the problem is IXHosting and not vBulletin.
So as long as NCSoft doesn't change server host to a 2 star server company we'll be ok

As I looked up again I saw the third horseman, ED. He was clothed in one aspect and the terrible beauty wrought great destruction upon the land.
I again looked up and saw the fourth horseman. Completely formless, yet with many forms, terror pierced my sinews. His name AE, and the threads of wrath were released upon the forum. Yea, such is the wrath that is AE.
All these must come to pass and then the end will come. There will be wailing and gnashing of teeth.

Guys, the way I read these 3 sentences is that THESE boards will be down for 2 hours, not 3 days.
The 3 days is for further work that needs to be done on the OTHER boards after the transfer.
I'm assuming that the new boards will open after the 3 day mark. Which may mean there could be a 72 hr. "info gap" between these boards & the new ones.
Not really apocalyptic in my book.

Or, what could happen is that they take these boards down to save off all the data, which would have them completely offline for two hours. Then, to make sure the boards don't get out of sync, they might lock them so that no one can post messages, but they would still have read access. 72 hours, more-or-less, later they would have the new boards up.
I dunno, but I've had to do stuff like that with the wiki before.
We've been saving Paragon City for eight and a half years. It's time to do it one more time.
