It doesn't list Speed, Teleport, Leaping or any other power pools players may want to color customize (I know a number of people that are very ticked off about Hasten's look but deal with it anyways because it's a good power). An overlook? any chance to get them included in i16 launch? maybe i16.5?

What's your take?

I hope they do add pool powers. Even if they don't this time, I wouldn't be surprised if they do so later.

We do know the list is imperfect; BaB mentioned that /Poison is included even though it's not listed.

They'll probably add tinting to the pool powers after they finish with the main powersets, I'd think.

yep and it's primary/secondary of non-EATs first before pool powers.

I posted a similar responce in another thread in the player questions section...but I haven't seen where the devs have specifically said we are NOT getting any more that whats listed for customization. Castle mentioned that the proliferation listed sounded final, but didn't talk about customization. They have said somethings were mistakenly off the list of main powersets they did list (poison, pain dom, etc). They have also said they are still working on it and aren't finished, like traps. Even says more to be announced at the bottom of the overview page.

Its too soon to start crying doom about no pool/epic/patron customization. If they don't do it this issue, maybe next or even a 16.5 release. They have the process figured out (or at least almost) on how to do it. Most of the epic and patron powers are clones of powers that are getting customized. And the pool powers, there aren't many that actually interact with other NPCs much, espeically hasten, superspeed and teleport that I've read about the most, which the other character interaction was the complex part to do according to BaB's old power customization FAQ. If they don't come in with this issue, I'm sure they are on the top of the list of things to do for future issues or updates. So sit tight...there's still most likely several months before it is absolutely final...this is the announcement of the general information, not the release notes.

Yeah I have a macro for it now, but it would be better for the game to support it automatically.

Look of some of the various devices in the set. Doesn't acid morter put out a green acid halo effect that could be customized, force field gen's shield color, triage beacon's energy coming off of it. Web grendade's webs could be colored or customized. I'm not too familiar with the set, but thats just what's coming to my mind.

How about the colors of the various devices themselves ? A gold colored or black FFG instead of a grey one, say.

Not to mention more thematic variations on the idea of Traps.

With customization you could turn Traps into a Killer Toys power set.

- Acid Mortar spewing teddybears.

- Model helicopter Seeker Drones

- Green army men Caltrops

- Exploding doll Trip Mines

- And so on.

- Hasten glow

I often avoid selections in these numerically highly-desirable powersets because the visual effects push me right off the ledge of rational discussion. Combat jumping turns a dark scrapper into murky gray when active... and superspeed burns my eyes (I play on a very large monitor in a usually dim room).

What I was looking forward too in customization was setting these effects to "black/black" or "none"; i.e., turning them "off".


Some days I just wake up cranky. Today might be one of those days...

I'm really hoping that they have time for setting up color customization on the travel powers and prestige sprints.

Both of these are other peoples' ideas, but I also think it would be sexy if we could change the item the Medicine pool uses (for non-techy characters) and select a default flight animation from the fly pose emotes for Fly/Energy Flight.

Including the Power Pools as well as Patron/Epic Pools in customization is a must if they are going to do this right. Kinda like being able to customize your enemies in the AE was a must. Hopefully they are already planning on including Patron, Epic, and Travel pools to be included at release. I would think it is obvious, but I thought the fact that characters in AE needed to be customizable was obvious too. We'll see.
