No idea why I keep resubbing to this game. I wish the PvP was on par with what it is capable of being here.
League of Legends and now Bloodline Champions has all my attention. To much PvP letdown in MMO's. I love Bloodline though, completely skill based DoTA style pvp, no farming, no grinding, pure awesome. Some here would probably enjoy it, great team based action. Still in beta atm though. -

Quote:This.Stick to buffing or nerfing the new powersets, early on, that seem to be way imbalanced, and buff older powersets that are clearly underperforming, and you will keep everyone happy. Or keep dropping massive nerfs on things that have been out for years and piss off a dwindling customer base, which imo, would seem to be a very bad idea.
Before looking at Dark Melee I think it'd please a lot of people to see things like a change to Time Bomb, or Gravity Control's Lift becoming a small AoE, or as pointed out in this thread Fiery Aura seeing another small boost.
Even if DM is surpassing Fiery Melee in single target DPS no one is going to complain about it. Fiery Melee lacks soft control? Who cares just shield charge the mob first then smolder the rest in a fiery hell. Oh, you're not Shield Defense? You're doing it wrong! (I kid, I kid)
P.S. And how is Kinetic Melee going to be doing on those Rikti Punching Bags? -
Nerf it.
Seriousily though, I think it would be neat to have a self buff similar to Parry or Divine Avalanche only buff resistance to smashing and energy. Perhaps instead of Build Up, make it a power that buffs smashing/energy resistance by 15% for 15 seconds and then after 15 seconds buffs damage by however much, dependent on the recharge time of the power, et cetera. -
I'd just be happy with a sticky bomb.
You throw it at a target, it sticks, perhaps a fear for 2-3 seconds, then boom it explodes in a 15ft radius. Simple and efficient. -
Quote:I'll assume I have the right to authorize this.I'll support this change to executioners shot so long as when I use shout in the same situation it summons a small train that I hop on and ride to the next spawn...
deal?
Deal.
I'll even throw in Amplify becoming a toggle. -
Or we could solve it by changing the floaty combat text to;
EXECUTED?
I know, I'm a genius. -
Same, even checked turning off defiance and everything.

Is it just mine that has the Leroy Jenkin's disposition?
After playing some Global Agenda, and seeing the awesomeness of the Robotic's Class turrets and drones I decided to check out Gun Drone here on CoH.
I don't think I've really played it after the whole "gone mobile" buff, but today I checked it out and after shooting it simply barreled at the enemy. It was funny considering it barreled down on a Bane who whipped out his Mace and smacked it's -20% Smashing Resist face out of the park. Genius.
On an unrelated note, playing Robotics there really makes me sad looking at Devices here. Caltrops and Web Grenades versus moar Drones/Turrets and Power/Medical Stations. -
Quote:It also needs floating combat text that says "Executed" over the targets head, such as how Controller's Overpower or Chain Induction's Chain Shock does, when it deals double damage. Why? Its damage is on par with other similar blasts: the only thing "worse" about it is that its animation is a bit longer than most of those same blasts (though it's the same as Shout's animation from Sonic). At most, it needs a half second trim or so, but there was some discussion about how that animation would look if it was shortened (aesthetically).
It's still a power worth taking... I'm not sure why people hate it so much.
Why? For flash, for more bang for the buck, for taking 2.57s to cast within 40 feet of your target. Bitter Ice Blast in comparison has 10 feet more range, slightly more damage, and 1s less cast time along with it's own attached secondary effect.
But I'm not saying it's horrible, I'm only saying I'd like to see "Executed" over enemy's heads and a bigger chunk of damage. I'm also not going to say that would be balanced lol. -
Quote:Needs a 50% chance for double damage imo.Now if we can just get them to make excutioner's shot to be worth taking, this might be the start of a good powerset. That power just seems so out of place for the piddly damage it does compared to similar powers. It just dont feel right with the other smooth animations.
-
My /sonic corruptor has been booted from teams a few times. It's an honest mistake though, when a Brute ask for SB it looks so close to SR.
-
If only for the animation, our ninja henchmen need ninja run.
Ninja? Are you kidding me!? -
So I just came back to the game and see everyone has become ninjas. Except mastermind ninja pets....
Let our ninja minions run with the all the other ninja wannabes out there. Please? -
Quote:Issue 16 went into closed beta today and before they locked out those not in closed beta someone posted that Conserve Power has been changed for all Electric Armor sets (since ELA was ported to Tankers and they can get CP in their epics, a.k.a. ELA gets ported to Heroes and gets buffed wtfbbq!? J/k'ing) to a power named Energize.Hmm...I've only recently dipped into the "new" boards again, so maybe I'm missing something...but what are we talking about here? Energize? Is ELA actually recieving some sort of "buff" or are these just hopes and dreams? Info?
As stated above Energize is apparently around a 500hp heal unslotted at level 50 and grants a 60% reduced endurance cost as well as 100% regen for 30 seconds, with a 2 minute cooldown.
Check the I16 thread in news and announcements discussion I believe, that's where the post originally was when I saw it. -
Quote:Given that it's not a Tier 9, as Power Surge holds that spot for Electric Armor, then I'm going to bet we'll be able to slot it for recharge. For virtual,
The new power Energy, wich heals for a 500ish HP and gives 100% regen for 30 seconds.
Cooldown is 2 minutes (unknown if this is enhancement by recharge).
100% regen is nothing spectacular, and Healing Flames has a 40s cooldown in comparison.
It's definately nice to see for a set that I've always thought was the best looking armor set in the game either way. -
Or just use...
ENERGIZE!
I'd make it a linky to the post describing it in the I16 CB thread but I'm to lazy. -

Anyways, if I16 in allowing our level 50's to become more powerful grants us more slots I'll be a lot more excited about my PB.
[/ QUOTE ]
Get excited. However you wont be able to PL to get those slots.

If you know something we don't, spill it!
Please?

Or wait till I16 and have a pal roll a cold domination troller. Then have him keep Frostworks on you. Or a 2nd account buffbot.

If I'm running tactics, do I only get it in human form or in all 3 forms? If only in human, does it detog the power when you shift?
[/ QUOTE ]
Only human, and yes it'll detoggle it along with any other toggle besides the form toggle. -
Dwarf is awesome for the ability to switch out of a mez and heal. I also noticed that the KD from dwarf doesn't seem to grant any 15s immunity like I thought all KD did now. I've gotten some lucky rolls and flopped around a few people, domis and stalks w/o any KB protection, with my dwarf attacks. Not sure if that was just an oversight by the developers or something that's changed since I left round I13.
Anyways, if I16 in allowing our level 50's to become more powerful grants us more slots I'll be a lot more excited about my PB. Tri-Form is basically human heals/BU with Nova and Dwarf slotted for me.
