What end of the world scenario would you like?
I'd like Warburg to have story pushes.
There's your End of World scenario outside of the AE >_>
The only one of those that isn't already in game is the meteorite shower. I know for a fact that, blueside, you actually stop a couple superpowered viruses/diseases (one of which is actually nanites).
Personally, I'd like to face a few more doomsday organizations rather than doomsday situations. Rather than fighting one really strong person trying to bring about the end of the world or another single really strong person trying to take it over, I'd love to see more stuff involving a large number of reasonably strong (re: EB rather than AB) level entities that you've got to fight at once before they can shatter reality or somesuch.
Of course, something involving Rularuu and the Shadow Shard would make it even better.

Giant monster attack the hospital - Helping save it grants a temporay power that gives you a slight boost to regeneration/recovery.

What mission has you save a hospital from a GM attack?
Was more into suggestions thinking of zonal/server events like the rikti dropships/zombies etc.
Nemesis finds a way to suck the planet through an artificial wormhole into a black hole. At the cusp of the Event Horizon, both heroes and villains decide to attempt some endeavor to retrieve the doomed civilization...
I thing it would be awesome to be sitting there staring into what amounts as certain demise, to actually witness the awesomeness of light and everything else swirling into this foreboding blackness.
Of course nemesis has a plan for afterwards when everyone is gone and he can go back in time and repopulate a new planet with souls from the past. Although nearly everyone perished a few managed to get out using forcefields and teleport. Now they get to attempt time travel to thwart Nemesis.
I think the whole scenario should play through both the introduction of utter destruction as well as the eventual salvation and reparation.

Yes.

Yes.

Oh gawd yes!

Meh... yeah ok.

For me personally i'ld love to have an event ingame that saw multiple "end of the world" scenarios happening at the same with us having to decide which one to help stop.
This as an example:
Giant monster attack the hospital - Helping save it grants a temporay power that gives you a slight boost to regeneration/recovery.
Meteorite shower - fly up into the sky and stop them from hitting the ground. Defeating x number of meteorites grants a temp summon power "summon mini shivan" as your pet. Attributes are that of a underling.

Put in an option for us villains to start all of those doomsday plots and I might have an evilgasm!

I was referring more towards your initial list than your suggestion. For zone events, I think it would be interesting to have more reactive and continually rewarding zone events. In general, most people only do a zone event until they get the badge and then they leave it be. Getting thematic temp powers and/or buffs would be pretty interesting.

I think it'd be better if Villain players can do an event to start a Doomsday Scenario, which would then launch in a hero zone somewhere out in the world, which the heroes in that zone would need to stop. Player-driven events! Villains do Evil Stuff, heroes stop it. Everyone is happy

That would actually be a REALLY good idea. We already have it inplace where doing a taskforce triggers an invasion. Why not expand it and have a villain taskforce where the target is to start their own "doomsday" device.
Launch the missile at the end of the taskforce results in mutated enemies heroside as a straight forward/easy example.

[/ QUOTE ]The sole reason I came in here was to post this
Rularuu is a god like entity... and he wants to eat our entire universe! Seriously, the Rikti are just gnats compared to this guy.

I like it. I like it alot.
I got one: A Flood!
Yeah, a Flood! Since all the War Walls are in place, everywhere except Talos, Peregrine, Striga and Croatoa would become giant swimming pools! Then the devs would have no choice than to make actual swimming! BWA-HA-HA!
Rularuu Invasion 2
The world is destroyed but a handful of people. They time travel back to try and stop it's destruction. This means you have to make shady deals and stuff to prevent it. Maybe even fight yourself. :P
Pinnacle: Hold my beer. Watch this!
Always remember that you are absolutely unique. Just like everyone else.

Rularuu Invasion 2

You hate nwebs don't you?
Although it would be funny to see some of the newcomers crap their pants at the Rularuu.
mine is kind of over the top. rularru breaks free into our dimension, all 6 nasty versions of him. leviathan breaks free and starts a massive tidal assault. Mot the sleeper awakens from the moth graveyard and is not particularly thrilled, and whatever happened to merluna finally comes back and brings help for the surface dwellers against the leviathan..and then shiva shows up in its full form to bring a full assault.
as some thing to help the hereos and villains, the dream doctor reunites all his forms again, and faathim helps too.

Run the 'Doomsday" SF from the SG Base Mission Computer. That would be cool.
I'm sure Heroes could be given a series of 'Prevent Domsday' TFs as well. Running the TF would cause a disruption in the Vilain zones. Spawning a special GM, or a special group of Longbow. How about starting a Wyvern assault in Cap au Diable? Something like that.

There's only one thing wrong with that scenario: no giant robots. So while all that's going on:
Burkholder finally finishes his Mega Mech. Both the Council and the 5th get their hands on the plans and unleash rival armies of giant robots on Paragon City. And Malta gets a bunch of Kronos Titans from...somewhere.

maybe but you know, its a thematic thing. heroes traditionally are seena s reactive protectors of the status quo, villains are proactive disruptors of it. This isnt a always the case, but id prefer heroes have more situations like the steel canyon fires, where they do heroic things. whereas villains get active villainous things. i wouldnt say no, but I think it probably is a higher priority in my mind to get the evil one.

Not only am I having an 'evilgasm', but I'm having a 'herogasm' as well.
Someone else had mentioned that heroes might do something to cause a problem for people in the Rogue Isles that causes Arachnos and the *cough* "Destined Ones" to respond to. Now heroes would not do something like that on purpose , except when ordered by Longbow
, but they could do something inadvertently. For example, defeating Lusca causes the Coralax to get all upset (for whatever linked reason) and invade one of the islands; or even invade Talos Island or PI for that matter (favor the villainside, though). Defeating Hamidon (in the Hive, not in a TF/SF) causes a DE outbreak somewhere.
Okay, here's one for you:
Establish a set of underground maps deep underneath the city that lead directly between the Isles and Terra Volta. This is the lair of some as-yet-unnamed villain. This guy is a completely new villain. He's not exactly human. He feeds on radiation. He's woken up from a very long slumber. And he's VERY hungry.
Make him immune to radiation attacks. Or, make it so that radiation heals him and regenerates his endurance.
He starts making his way to the Terra Volta reactor.
Both heroes and villains must stop him from reaching the reactor. If they don't he'll wipe out the entire east coast.
If enough damage is done to him, he breaks out from underground and goes topside. (His preferred method of travel is underground.)
To dice things up, we can make him asexual, capable of spawning his own offspring. They're all just as mean and vicious as he is, only their size is much smaller, and they're faster. Razor sharp teeth, claws, and their attacks inflict radiation poisoning.
If he goes topside, he'll have to tear down the war wall. He'll do so by attacking the stone walls that support it. If he goes underground, he'll just come up from below.
Either way, pray he doesn't reach the reactor.
The devs should take some tips from this site.
Exit Mundi, a collection of doomsday scenarios
In the Arena of Logic, I fight unarmed.
For the heroes and villains out there, what end of the world situation would you like us to prevent/start as an ingame event? Could it be a new class of giant monster causing havoc?
A meteorite shower?
A doomsday device?
A superpowered virus? You decide! Lets give the devs some ideas of some actual more "threat worthy" events!
