What end of the world scenario would you like?

I've got one that's great.
It starts with an earthquake.
Birds and Snakes.
An aeroplane.

I personally hate end of the world scenarios in ANY game, or any movie, book or TV show for that matter. But, I admit I'm weird.

Could it be a new class of giant monster causing havoc?
A meteorite shower?
A doomsday device?
A superpowered virus?

A doomsday device, that summons a meteor shower, that releases a superpowered virus, that mutates people into a new class of giant monsters, that cause havoc!

I'd like to see Rularuu actually make a dedicated push into our dimension which would threaten to tear the world apart like the Shadow Shard.

Supermodel Apocalypse.

EDIT: Wait, you mean in the game.

While I like this idea, there is no reason for the Villains to get involved. The Rogue Isles are a fair distance away from Paragon City.

Although I could see the villains poking this thing with a stick to get it riled up and move towards Paragon.

Giant monster attack the hospital

[/ QUOTE ]
This gave me a probably very BAD idea. But I thought I'd throw it out there.

Giant monsters (or supervillains, or whatever) that rampage in city zones and actually wreck stuff if they're not stopped.

If they knock down WW, you'll have to go to another zone to access the market for the next half hour.

If they knock down the train station, you'll have to use the road tunnels through the War Walls.

If they knock down the hospital, you'll end up being teleported to another level-appropriate hospital after defeat.

If they knock down a vendor, or a Super Group portal, or the AE building ... the list goes on.

OBVIOUSLY this can't actually happen, because then it would become "forced content" ... I really wouldn't want people who just want to play the market to have to fight GMs if they didn't like fighting GMs. But I would love to see GMs have actual STAKES involved, instead of Deathsurge just standing around in the middle of the city and all the supers going, "Huh, wouldya look at that," and going about their business. I would love for players to go, "Oh @#%*!! A monster wrecking important city landmarks!! We gotta stop it!!"

Yes, villains never ever get any missions that involve paragon city.
It's not like I haven't robbed Skyway City bank about a bazillion times.

Except where they aren't.

I disagree completely.

In the Marine Corps, I was trained to plot the path of fallout from a nuclear explosion. Trust me, if the Terra Volta reactor went up, the Rogue Isles is nowhere near far enough away to be safe.

The last thing that the villains would want is for their precious island chain to become a nuclear wasteland.

Unless, of course, that's exactly what they wanted.

I'm picturing Rularuu Invasions where the sky takes on an appearance similar to the Shard, with the center being a single vast Eye looking down upon the city.

And besides the normal Rularuu, glowing holes open here and there with Lusca-sized, eye studded tentacles reaching out.

Doomsday Scenario Number 2:

We learn that the Rikti didn't destroy their own homeworld; no natural disaster occurred there. They were engaged in a protracted war with an advanced species from another world. In a last-ditch effort to save their own species, they jumped through a dimensional rift to arrive in our own universe. Their intention was to depopulate our planet and take it for their own. (Heck, it served them once before, right?)

The problem is, the race that was after them before has figured out what happened, and has come after them. Now, it's onto our existence. A race of cybernetic machines with NO MERCY whatsoever. They make every villainous group we've ever fought look like amateurs, like little kids afraid of the monster lurking in the closet. They won't be reasoned with, won't be stopped, and have one goal: the utter annilihation of all biological life.

Their techology is far superior to anything we know. The war walls don't stop them. Bullets bounce off of them. Their shielding is insanely powerful. They have no minds, so forget psionics.

Their one weakness is their unswerving devotion to the notion that all things must conform to an ordered pattern. They do not deal well with chaos and anarchy. Hence, the need to eradicate biological life. But their sheer relentlessness in the face of this anarchy makes them formidable foes who answer anarchy and chaos with swift, sudden death.

And they do not care what your allegience is. If you breathe, you die.

Robot Armageddon.

A Robogeddon if you will. A Robocalypse. A Robocaust.

I guess we can throw some cyborgs in there so psychic damage won't be worthless.

What AE mission/arc # is that?

What if the Nemesis made a giant portal between earth and the Shadow Shard, and maybe Nemesis made a deal with Rularuu to get his assistance, so when the event would happen in each zone (if not across the entire game at a time maybe) you'd have to fight Soldiers of Rularuu and Nemesis. Maybe we could get a new SF or TF or an arc maybe where you have to travel to the Shadow Shard and destroy the portal before Rularuu himself crosses over into our world again.

Too simple to be a Nemesis plot...

Lord Nemesis, excuse me, I mean Mender Silos did pretty explicitly say that he's pretty much responsible for the end of the world.

For the heroes and villains out there, what end of the world situation would you like us to prevent/start as an ingame event? Could it be a new class of giant monster causing havoc?
A meteorite shower?
A doomsday device?
A superpowered virus? You decide! Lets give the devs some ideas of some actual more "threat worthy" events!

[/ QUOTE ]

In conjunction with new zones using deformable terrain, giant monsters attack. I don't mean Babbage, or Lusca, I mean giant monsters, fully half as high as the zone ceilings. Entire buildings being destroyed, enormous craters being created, full scale monster versus monster and hero/villain versus monster battles raging all over the zones... so much destruction. It would be glorious.

That, or an insane artificial intelligence starts taking over the world by biogenetically modifying people and taking control of robots. That would be... nice.

You'll learn all about Rikti politics in the RWZ arcs. They're actually generally a pretty peaceful race who (because of the aforementioned Nemesis Plot) were convinced they were fighting for their lives and allowed their militant branch of their government to essentially take over who then, even after the war ended, decided to take a more aggressive stance in the future.

It's alot like the story of the Mimbari in Babylon 5 actually. Except instead of aliens with head protrusions and advanced technology, they're modified humans from another dimension with head protrusions and advanced technology.

To Smurch: I never said Villains don't get involved with Paragon(heck I wish they had more involvement)What I meant was the way this scenario is presented Villains have no reason to be involved.

To Tyrant Monkey:
I didn't know about that.
However I don't think it would be a good idea to implement because then it's the same team up to save the world and be a good guy stuff that's been pissing off redside players.
