You're trying to justify getting for free something that has always been a pay-for service, is a pay-for service in every game I can think of, and your only justifications for such are things every player who MAKES THE CHOICE to play on that server has to face.

As someone that used the transfer system to move toons... Pay for it. We all pay for it. No freebies. No excuses. If a server is disgusting you, move your favorite toon or create a new one on another server.
To me, this just seens like someone that is looking ahead for another moment when the big servers go grey, and want to make excuses to save some bucks. If thats not the case, sorry OP. But that was what it sounded.
And... actually... it applies to all things... If you are tired of your server, transfer just like we all do. Dont ask for crumbles, its not nice.

Pretty much this, All my major toons are on Freedom. I think the highest toon on another server is a lvl 21 PB.

I did move. My Freedom characters are still on Freedom though. I just moved to Justice and started fresh. I still occasionally play the 50s I have on Freedom but I have more 50s on Justice that see much more play time is all.

This kinda turned into me asking for free transfers, and that's not it at all. I simply asked for other players feedback to see if I was alone in my fustrations. It absolutely doesn't have anything to do with servers being greyed out double XP weekend. I play during the week mostly after work and have better things to do on my weekends, so honestly I don't care abotu double XP weekened. If I had a low level character that I cared about it would be different, but I don't.
Truth be told I'll probably transfer my two main characters to Justice where I actually started off in the very beginning. I'll never spend $100 to transfer all my favorites over, but if it was free to do so I would in a second.
So again, I'm not asking for a free transfer. I just wanted to know if other players were hating the AE farm fiasco on Freedom as much as me and would love to transfer off the server if it were free. No hidden agendas, no asking for hand outs. Just curious and thought I might possible find some folks that would want to transfer over to a new server together.
Some of you act like it's a personal attack when people post about thier dissatisfaction with the game. As a paying member of this MMO society I thinK I have the right to post my unhappiness with where the game is going. Part of getting thru the bad times is being able to [censored] and moan with other people that are unhappy about the same things as you. Just because I or anyone else start threads that aren't positive, doesn't mean other players need to come in and defend the game and try to tell me why I'm wrong for being upset. I'm aloud to be upset. It doesn't mean I should find a different game or that I'm a whiner, I'm just unhappy with the direction of the game over the past year and looking for others that feel the same way so I can brood. Who else can I [censored] about CoX to? My wife and friends don't give a [censored] about this silly game. Of course I'm going to post my comnplaints here. If you feel the need to make me out to be the bad guy and explain why I'm wrong, then it's your right to waste your time. I don't know what else to say about it.

Freedom and Virtue are, honestly, much worse for it than the others (though they all have farming going on.)
Protector red side is surprisingly quiet on the farming front but if a mass exodus occured to it farms would start.
Transferring off the server will not solve it as all it will cause is an exodus to whichever server becomes the most active.

And to the OP. Sorry if i was kind of aggressive. Its just that sometimes i get angry about people complaining for things that, actually, were discussed and talked, and modded. Mod 8 even opened an official farming thread so this is to be discussed there.
All this talking is getting on my nerves, specially because, well, it may be a limitation of my part, but i dont see the AE as a problem. Its a wonderful tool. It lets me vent my creativity. I found some awesome arcs there. And the farmers have next to 0 impact to my gameplay, as I play mostly with my friends, and we do everything, from TF to regular arcs to MArcs.
When I get into the very rare mood to farm, I still prefer my freaks farm from PI.
Point is: No one is affected by farms if they dont let it affect then. To me, it means nothing at all. I let people farm and go about my business as usual, being as crazy and lost as I always am... (and... believe me... nobody gets as lost as I can do... I can get lost into a straight line, open area small map)
Just have fun. If something isnt fun to you anymore, maybe its you that need to change, not the world.

If you had said in your original post that you were wondering if anyone was interested in transferring to another server with you my post would have been a lot different. We all get annoyed with farming spam from time to time.
To me it seemed like you came into this thread with a chip on your shoulder. Check out my other posts if you want, I don't like to get into arguments with others that love the same game I do.
What I was offering with the sign up deals is a way to maybe meet a few new people you didn't know and maybe had some fun. You said you don't play blue side and that's fine with me, every Wednesday a SF is ran with a great bunch of people. A lot of the time they have enough people sign up to need 2 teams to go through it. This past Monday we ran the Mender Silos TF on blue and needed three teams. All I'm saying is that right there is twenty four different people who try and have a good time and to relax, just like you try to do.

I am on Freedom. It's my Primary server (I only have ONE character elsewhere that I use one weekend each month for a static team).
I love the place. I love the people.
I don't farm. Never have. Probably never will.
I run TFs or other events almost every night, and am not phased by any "noob AE farm bile".
I don't care what other people do. It doesn't affect me, or my own game. I can agree the chat spam for the teams can be annoying.. but all you have to do is /ignore the people spamming it and/or go to a different zone if it bothers you.
I form all my teams from global channels anyway. Broadcast, FTL.
Currently on Freedom I'm working up an MM and I put a "no farms plz" comment for my search comment and guess what? It works, I never get invited to anything!
I'd consider using those free Xfers except for the fact that I play late at night into the early morning, which are the times of day when the populations are the lowest; on some servers, that means whole zones empty and that's not an exaggeration. I play redside so that adds another strike against the chances of finding people to team with.
I'm currently adding n as many chat-channels as I can think of (across other servers too) to boost my chances of finding PuGs for anything, but so far it's been sparse. Given my druthers, I'd just as soon stay on Freedom anyway though. I expect this stuff will die down a little as time goes by and things will get back to the way they were pre-AE.

I'd move old toons I don't play but don't want to delete, then I'd make more alts on Freedom.
I love Freedom and have no plans on leaving. I've seen the decrease of PUGS on Freedom sine AE but I play off peak hours so I really can't play on any other server if I want to team.
I would move my characters off Freedom in a second if the transfers were free. I have been considering moving three of my characters and paying the 10 bucks for some time now. I haven't only because I don't know if I'll even play them significantly in the future. I was never a fan of Freedom, but I did make a bunch of characters there because I like the high population servers. More so in the past because I played at off times. Now that I play during primetime more often and now that there are hordes of new players with AE farm poor skills, Freedom has become much worse. It is near impossible to find a good PUG now even when there are 1200 players in the mix.

I know there's another game where you can get free transfers to a server which is... I think, 50% less populated than the one you left? But that gamae doesn't have cross-server economies, for example. I don't think it's a necessary thing to do here, given how easy it can be to level someone up and get through the game here. I mean, your mains, your billion-inf characters are probably worth the cash to transfer, but it's not like shifting the rest over is that big a deal. You know? Twenty bucks to move your two primaries to somewhere you'd like 'em better. You've probably paid more for meals.
