ok so im looking for what you guys think is the most fun character to play. put AT and power sets and why it was/is so much fun.

Illusion/storm controller. Very offensive and violent. Makes me feel like a super power.

Thugs/Poison MM, killer combo for pvp (currently) or pve. Easy to level.

Anything/* stalker.

Yeah Brimstone has its 100% right. Illusion/Sotmr is the most chaotic combination you can get. you'll be laughing madly while Hurricane and your Phantoms throw everything to the 4 corners of the Earth.

I'm working on a Thugs/Poison at the moment and it is pretty fun. im already on relentless at level 8 if that means anything to you.

and stalkers are fun. Ninja Blade and Dual Blades have cool animations that fit well for Stalkers.

Whining about everything since 2006.

Most fun that I have had with a character is with my main, Energy/Energy Blaster. Knockback is just tons of fun and extremely useful and powerful when used correctly. Not to mention Power Thrust at level 50 against a level 1 Hellion sending him 100+ yards through the air and clearly three-story buildings from the ground is really funny.

I love Ill/Storm! Also, spines/dark scrapper.

Fire/storm is nice too. Seeing the imps jump baddies while hurricane holds them in a corner just seems..... bad. lol.

Unsurprisingly, I'm going with Elec/Elec Brute. Sturdy enough that I've soloed the entire Villain-side game without trouble (excluding forced team content like Strike Forces), but not so sturdy that I can just run on autopilot without paying attention to active defenses. Absurdly devastating AoE potential, with fun effects and flashy visuals.

Also, pretty much anything Storm Summoning. Defender, Controller, Mastermind or Corruptor, doesn't matter. Learn to play Storm Summoning well and you will never feel more godlike.

Fun's different for different people, really.

My BS/SR Scrapper, any well built Scrapper (or Brute) really. Dive in, kill things, rinse, repeat til there's a pile of corpses and shells on the floor.

The most fun powerset is the one used by whatever character I log into. If I don't find it fun, I delete the character. Some days I feel like scrapping, but my exact mood determines which scrapper will be the most fun for me. Other days I want to defend or corrupt, another day I might want to tank.

Take ANY combination of anything in the game and there is SOMEONE who finds it the most fun thing in the game.

I find controllers the most fun. My favorites have been fire (after level 32), plant, grav and illusion. Storm is the most fun set to pair them with, but rad is second most fun for me, kin is good also for a secondary. I forgot to mention that therm is not a bad set for solo or team play either, you can buff your team, and/or your pet with it.

While I love my DB/WP brute, I gotta say my Claws/WP scrapper id more fun. You get to jump around and control the mobs much more than you do with other melee sets. When brutes finally get claws proliferated, I doubt I'll play anything else.

Softcapped Fire/SR scrapper: I can solo AVs, survive conditions that tanks fear to tread, and dish out single target damage that makes blasters envious.

Earth/Kin controller: My ADD character. I NEVER run out of buttons to press, and I can lock a mob down like nothing you've ever seen. Tanks need not apply.

Fire/MM blaster: I am a walking, talking, living, breathing, Apocalypse in thigh-highs. I can dish out AoE damage like you wouldn't believe.

SS/WP brute has been the most fun so far but noticeing how fun Gravity/Energy dom are on test so that might soon top my brute when I15 comes around.

Blaster - Ice/Energy
Tank - WP/Fire
Controller - Plant/Storm
Defender - Rad/Sonic
Dominator - Fire/Fire (easy mode) or Earth/Thorn (giggle mode)
Brutes, MMs, Corruptors, Stalkers... meh

If I had to pick the most fun powersets that I have played thus far they would be:

Blaster: Fire/Fire - Absolute AoE monster, not much for soloing as he has no mitigation, but on a team, you will see huge orange numbers

Defender: Dark/??? - Dark is just an awesome defender set that makes your team unstoppable and feels controllerish at the same time

Tank: WP/SS - This is a cool combo, WP is a great tank set and you can't go wrong with the smash em up SS powerset

Controller - My fav 2 combos so far have been Earth/Rad and Ice/Kin...Ice/Kin has the synergy of slowing down your foes while speeding up your allies and Earth/Rad is just plain awesome...3 AoE holds/disorients + stone cages + rad debuffs = I WIN button.

Scrapper: The only scrapper I have any expertise on is Spines/Dark, he starts slow, but once you get higher levels and some IO's in him, he is an absolute beast.

Others for consideration:
AR/NRG Blaster
Fire/Fire Tank
Ill/Storm Troller
Rad/Sonic Defender

All very fun to play as well. Hope this helps!

Martial Arts because of Crane Kick: It is my favorite power in the game.

I try to position my fights as often as possible to be on platforms. I add a Stupefy: Chance for Knockback proc in Thunder Kick, as well, for field goal attempts. (It's GOOOOOOOD!)

I need to find some better sound effects for the set, though; the gunshot sounds are annoying. And I need a Martial Arts Brute.

Now, if they would just add some good foot Auras and make Storm Kick a cone...

Most Visually fun toon for me is my Martial Arts/SR scrapper with Jump Kick as part of his attack chain...He looks like something strait out of a action movie in the middle of a fight...

If it's orange numbers flying skyward, I have to pick my Fire/Fire blaster.

And finally, if its Bruce Willis / Arnie Schwartzenterminator bodies flying here and there action your looking for, nothing competes to my AR/Dev Blaster...TP Foe into 6 Trip Mines...hhahahahaha...Good Times...

I think the thing about this game that makes it so fun is the fact there are so many powerset combinations to choose from. When you consider how many AT's there are and how many powersets that could be used it boggles the mind. I have altitus and have to use more than one server for all my toons. I have noticed every time I think this is the perfect toon, in a little while I feel like trying something else. When I play a melee AT for a while I eventually then want to play a ranged toon. I no longer care about leveling to 50 just learning the powersets is fun and watching your baby grow. Make lots of AT's and try different combos, see what you like. Although people will try to tell you what to like, in reality YOU will like what you like and that's that. My preferences don't mean a thing to anyone but me. But since you asked my fav sets are Willpower, Regeneration, Flying, Claws and Archery. My fav color is red.
