  1. I figured out one reason my build was so out of wack, i hadn't slotted phalanx fighting.

    Even if you slot it w/ 2 lotg's it gives you some defense even though you're not around any team mates. I thought mids was throwing it off until i tested it out in game on my fire/sd.

    I wanted to try to get perma hasten bc it worked out so well on my claws/sr, but i wasn't taking into account that sr has a power that gives 20% rech right out of the box.

    LBE i had six slotted because i had pvp on and thought my psi defense was a lot higher, i took it down to 5.

    SC is a great attack you're right, especially after the buff it got to scrappers and tanks in one of the more recent patches, but i'm wanting the the mob around the av to stay alive for Soul Drain and AAO, sure they'll die after i use enough of my other aoe's, but i don't plan on using shield charge in my attack chain.
  3. Before you take a look please let me warn you: the build has a lot of extra slots in powers that don't usually need that many slots.

    But i was able to achieve positional soft capping, perma hasten, and an so-so recovery rate. Fortunately all i wanted was those three things in the build, so it is what i was going for, but i just want to make sure i'm not gimping my self.

    Some things that the build doesn't have that i skipped, but wanted: Shield Charge and the build doesn't have the regeneration rate i wanted.

    If you see anything wrong with the build that could be improved upon, plz tell me

    Srs? That's never gonna happen bud, u might as well roll a /therm corruptor and use the attack chain brawl -> boxing -> kick and then throw flurry in every now and then.
  7. I've seen a lot of fire/em's around, but i haven't noticed fire/mm's that much.

    I made a fire/mm/ice and got him to 50 last 2X xp weekend, i just finished his pve build, and he's basically built for the warrior clan farm, mostly because i softcapped his s/l defenses and i took all the PB/aoe i could get my hands on.

    I started thinking that the dot from fire, and the mez from mm (and the fortunata proc. in flashfreeze) would be good in pvp, but i'm not totally sure

    So before i go and start io'ing out his second build for pvp, i was wondering if fire/em is note worthy in pvp, arena or zones idc.

    Edit: I meant to type "i was wondering if fire/MM is note worthy in pvp, arena or zones idc." I know how good fire/em can be due to how many times i've died in arena to one.
  8. Broad has more dpa than katana, but katana is faster.

    They both have a move to increase your melee defense (parry and divine avalanche).

    Throw claws out completely, because claws only is more of a dps set instead of a dpa set, you have to get a good attack chain off for claws to work, which probably won't happen often.

    The thing that Katana has over broad is it's double crit., other than that broad is better.

    Your fire/regen, should be good enough, u won't have as much melee defense.

    The great thing about fire/ is it's dot, i can't count how many times i pop incinerate then gfs when their hp is low. They start to run and eventually die (if their hp was low enough and didn't heal for some reason) due to the dot of incinerate.

    And if they ever get it, would it be greater than or equal to the devestation of an elec/thermal corruptor?
  10. When you're in a pvp zone, or in the arena, which builds are annoying to you.

    Now annoying could mean either mez annoying, end. sucking annoying, or can't kill it annoying.

    For me it's an elec/thermal cor.

  12. I'm letting one of my friends borrow my second account for a little while.

    We're gonna be teaming together a lot. He's been playing on blue side for the past month because that's where all of my 50's are.

    All of my lowbies on redside are real low (such as lvl 1-5) so i can delete them and make new ones.

    I don't know what he's gonna build (but knowing him, he's probably going w/ either a stalker or a corruptor, but he may surprise me lol) but i'm wanting a good support build, i'm thinking either a thugs/thermal mm or a fire/rad cor.

    Any input and suggestions are greatly appreciated.

    But i was just curious because the numbers i saw in red just surprised me.
  17. i thought my toggles had dropped at first, but i was mistaken, hot feet was still going too, so it wasn't a stun
  18. I was running w/ my f/k earlier on a warrior clan farm and he was hard capped on damage resistance (he had the Sun on him at the time) and a boss hit me for about 1100 hp.

    How did that happen? Do warrior clan bosses have an alpha strike that isn't s/l?

  20. I'm guessing this is a bm farming build since your fire mastery and your s/l defense is almost 40%

    Looks good, it'll take some money.

    You might as well move some stuff around, and make your self soft-capped to s/l defense (or melee defense).

    Sure you'll have to sacrifice some other things, but you'll be a lot more survivable.

  22. I'm needing some help with build advice on an aoe blaster.

    My three main choices were Fire/fire, fire/em, and fire/psy.

    I had a fire/em and got him to 35, he was fun, but then i deleted him and made a fire/psy who is sitting at 40 til this weekend (2x xp weekend).

    On my secondary account i've got a 50 fire/fire.

    I really don't want to use the fire/fire on my secondary because it's actually a toon that one of my room mates leveled.

    In my opinion, fire/em is more of a blapper, fire/psy is the better of the aoe, and fire/fire is a good in between (yes i have played my room mates fire/fire... when he isn't looking).

    So my question is which of the three i've listed (in your guys' opinions) should i choose to io out?

    And what should i build it towards, such as: soft capping to some positonal or s/l damage, + rech/dam, etc.
  23. I don't care what i look like in Granite Armor, just as long as i'm still soft capped in smashing/lethal/energy/negative/fire/cold defense, and hard capped in smashing/lethal damage resistance >.>
  24. I can solo the bm map +4, 8 players w/ my fire/sd scrapper. Bosses are a problem if they get past my soft cap twice in a row
