Critique my dm/sd av soloing build please

Before you take a look please let me warn you: the build has a lot of extra slots in powers that don't usually need that many slots.

But i was able to achieve positional soft capping, perma hasten, and an so-so recovery rate. Fortunately all i wanted was those three things in the build, so it is what i was going for, but i just want to make sure i'm not gimping my self.

Some things that the build doesn't have that i skipped, but wanted: Shield Charge and the build doesn't have the regeneration rate i wanted.

If you see anything wrong with the build that could be improved upon, plz tell me

So you have permahaste, so what? It isnt all that sexy
What about the recharge on your attack chain, is it enuff? What is our attack chain?

The slotting here is... awww... ok, its awful.
Youve slotted MG for IMMOB? WTF???

Why LBE 6 slotted Apoc? etc...

Also, while SC is an AoE, DO get it, it is pretty good ya know..

LBE i had six slotted because i had pvp on and thought my psi defense was a lot higher, i took it down to 5.

SC is a great attack you're right, especially after the buff it got to scrappers and tanks in one of the more recent patches, but i'm wanting the the mob around the av to stay alive for Soul Drain and AAO, sure they'll die after i use enough of my other aoe's, but i don't plan on using shield charge in my attack chain.

Dunno if this looks any good, it does not have permahaste, but... is 3s short so bad?

It has 2 free slots (placed in brawl atm) and im not sure about slotting in Smite, MG and SL tbh... it is softcapped, albeit tightly.

Dunno about the attack chain either, i think you should aim for MG+SMI+SL+SMI (iirc) a little too lazy atm to calculate if it got the needed recharge... also, i made this one with Blaze pool (dunno, maybe because the DM has poor AoE anyways... and included SC in ofc)

Prolly doesnt have enuff recovery to run the chain (even if it would have the recharge needed) for very long, so maybe Body is better.

Hmm, some calculations.. lets see if i can get these right...

Chain wanted MG+SMI+SL+SMI
Arcanatimes

MG = 2.244
SMI = 1.188
SL = 2.112

So, you would need
MG recharged in (SMI+SL+SMI) 5.542 s
SMI recharged in 2.112 s
SL recharged in (SMI+MG+SMI) 4.62 s

(hopefully)

With my latter build, the endurance consumption of the MG+SMI+SL+SMI is 24.98 / 6.732 s --> 3.71 e/s
and when the net gain was 3.26 e/s, the consumption is 0.45 e/s with constant chaining
So i think its good. (procs give more and CP can be used)

I figured out one reason my build was so out of wack, i hadn't slotted phalanx fighting.

Even if you slot it w/ 2 lotg's it gives you some defense even though you're not around any team mates. I thought mids was throwing it off until i tested it out in game on my fire/sd.

I wanted to try to get perma hasten bc it worked out so well on my claws/sr, but i wasn't taking into account that sr has a power that gives 20% rech right out of the box.

Actually Phalanx Fighting defense cant be enhanced, it always gives you 3.75% of melee, ranged & AoE (Mid's bugs a bit on ranged, doesnt show it until you do a little fix)

The fix For Mid's
Options --> Advanced --> Database editor
--> Main Database Editor
--> Select Scrapper_Defense (left side)
--> Select Shield_Defense (middle)
--> Double click on Phalanx_Fighting (right side)
--> Click on Effects tab (3rd from left)
--> Double click 3.75% Defense (Ranged)
--> From the Affects: dropdown menu, select [none]
--> OK
--> OK
--> Save & Close
--> Close

So, dont slot it with other than LotG +recharge imo. And yw
(PF def for team mates is still enhaceable thou, so if you want to slot for that...)

Wrong. MG needs to recharge faster than Siphon.

MG: 4.488 seconds (235% +rech required)

If you're thinking to PvP with a DM/SD, you're going to be unpleasantly surprised. Even with lolmelee aside, defense sets are notoriously squishy because players have a base 75% chance to hit, much higher +acc than NPCs, and generally are packing substantial +tohit. Even worse, DM isn't well equipped for PvP because Soul Drain is long animating and requires hitting a target within 8' to provide the buff. LBE isn't going to be enough to solve the PvP problems of DM/SD.

You'd be much better off simply admitting that DM/SD isn't going to be a PvP character and allowing those 5 slots to be used elsewhere so that you can actually softcap to all.

Thx Umbral, i failed in a simple math as in
1.188 + 2.112 + 1.188 = 4.488
where the hell did i get that 5.542 thou??

You don't have permanent hasten you need to have a total including the 70% from hasten of 180% global recharge you're 20% short. Also you have a lot of unnecessary slotting. Six slotting Hasten will net you little benefit. Your endurance usage is huge you will need to address that. Overall this build is making too many sacrifices in order to achieve such high recharge.

I made quite a few changes and actually netted you lower endurance useage while increase your recharge and amount of hit points.

Prolly doesnt have enuff recovery to run the chain (even if it would have the recharge needed) for very long, so maybe Body is better.

You are very right, i knew i forgot something (again). Its so easy to just klick the chants in Mid's, get softcap and be happy.

Im glad theres competent ppl here to correct my errors and give nice advice.

One thing i also tend to forget is the attack chain recharge requirements and as many times i manage to calculate them off... (you would think that it is not that hard... it could be, ya know )
