I have more than 1 favorite. They have very different play styles depending on what power sets you choose, which powers within those set that you select, and how you slot those powers.

My main and most favorite is an Energy/Energy/Force Blapper.

Second is an Arch/Dev/Munitions.

The rest are all tied for third and include an Energy/Elec/Fire slotted for maximum AoE Knockback.

A Sonic/Ice/Fire.

My Arch/Energy/Ice.

A Fire/Energy/Force.

A Fire/Fire/Fire.

An Ice/MM/Ice.

and some other level 50s and a few that haven't made it that far yet.

I have 3 blaster favs at the moment.

My Elec/Elec/Elec blaster. I play him more as a blastroller for the most part, with a lot of end drain utility. Most mobs wont have the end to attack me.

My Psi/MM/Force blaster, rather fun.

and

My AR/DEV blaster htat will take Munitions.

My fav blaster is my AR/Dev/Munitions because of his versatility. Loves to fight Malta.

Second is AR/EM/Elec that is all about long range and cones. Loves to fight Carnies and Nemesis.

Third is Energy/Fire that I play almost like a stalker by taking concealment pool. She is very unique. Loves killing Nemesis and Council because they like to stand close together.

I have an old Fire/Fire/Force nearing 50 as well, an Ice/Ice and a Sonic/EM in the mid 30s. All have their own play style.

When I need to kill Circle of Thorns I use either a Dark/Dark defender or a Dark/Dark stalker.

Blasters REALLLLY need to be able to delve into the darkness, hopefully in an upcoming release the developers will allow us to choose some dark powersets.

Ice/Ice is my happy place. I love the build for its potency, practicality, and for thematic reasons as well.

Next on my list would be Ice/Electric, followed by Ice/Mental.

Hmm. My Fire/Ice is really good, but I like my Fire/Elec even better. it was my first fire/* blaster and the melee damage is SO good.

Fire/Energy is a lot like Fire/Elec, but Fire/Elec has Powersink, which I like better than Conserve Power, and I like the visuals on the melee attacks better. (I know, energy has more utility powers...I don't really use Boost Range that much.)

I'm a big fan of Fire Blasters, with basically any secondary but Fire or Devices.

As mentioned repeatedly in this thread, what you like depends on how you play.

Sonic/Devices.

Versatility. Aside from melee combat there is not much he can't do. Nearly softcapped ranged defense and hover make him all but untouchable, and he is a great asset on any AV killing team. He's also my most effective PvP toon, oddly enough.

My second build has all the /Devices toys I left out of his main build and the nuke which I also left out of the main build.

As of right now, my Fire/Dev. This guy is a ranged AoE beast. I like the concept of him more than anything. But I also built him up with some high ranged defenses, as of yesterday he is up to 27%. I blow through solo content and on teams I just stand back and blast. I love this toon, possibly my favorite hero.

I would definitely have to say it is my Fire/Energy blaster. The pace is just so fast when he uses his recharge build that most people cannot keep up. Although it is dangerous to do that, it is a lot of fun.

So hard to pick the ones that are fun are just sooo much fun.

Fire/Ment tied with Arch/Ment

Then AR/Ment, AR/Energy

Its non crashing rapid recharging nukes that do it for me.

Ice/Ice/Cold

My first blaster (my first character period) and I've deleted every blaster I've tried to level since, and most of my controllers.

All the mez/damage just spoiled me.

Favorite: Fire/Ice. From Fire: premium ranged damage, plenty of AoE. From /Ice: premium (for a blaster) control/mitigation. They complement each other really well. I solo comfortably on Unyielding, or Tenacious if I'm feeling a bit lazy (better than Rugged/Invincible because you get larger spawns.) She's also one of my favorite PuG characters, second only to my Rad/Rad defender in PuG effectiveness. AoE damage is what most teams want in a blaster, and she's got that covered; and in a team that could use a little help in the aggro control/mitigation department, Shiver, and even Ice Patch, can make a world of difference.

Honorary mention: Energy/Energy. For three reasons. 1) It looks really cool. 2) Knockback is fun! It makes for quite safe soloing, and even the trouble I have to take on teams to keep from pissing everyone off is fun for me--adds a little more challenge/interest. 3) Versatility. It has a little bit of everything, and I can play differently depending on the team and the situation.

As you can see from the variety of responses, there's not one blaster combo that everyone agrees on. That's probably a good thing. You should probably try out several.

My Elec/Fire/Elec cuz he's my main and the most versatile blaster Ive played, with my 2nd being my Fire/Elec for pure destruction and then 3rd would be my AR/NRG or my Arch/Dev, both are fun but different builds/playstyles. So many options and so much fun Blasters Be!!!

Anything with AR. Among my 50s are an AR/Dev, an AR/Fire and AR/Elec. I even have a Huntsman build redside. The AR/Elec is my favorite, but more because of his concept than the build itself.

I'm eagerly awaiting the release of Dual Pistols. (As is everyone else, I think.)

Fire/Fire/Force. I just love the raw damage and how she's slotted she's very multifunctional.

I like my Fire/Fire/Flame blaster.

It is pure. It is focused. It is simple in concept and yet depends on much to work. It requires awareness, speed, and choosing the right targets. Wiggles, herding, spawn collapse, timing your jump into the spawn for right after all the AoEs hit the tanker instead of right before. There are no holds or controls to lean on for most of its life and in team play even with the one I have, I never bother (solo, Char comes in handy, teamed, I rely on others for that). If played to its peak, its sustainability often falls outside of your control and requires teammates to aid you (a big turn off for a lot of people, but I like that aspect).

"Pfff all that "control" and "safety" just gets in my way. Begone with your lock downs, heals and buffs. Stand back there near the door while I do this so you don't get blood on you." - Emnity

My Arch/MM. With Hover and 45% ranged defense, he's my go-to guy for TF's & AV's.

Fire/Ice/Force. Aoe Damage meets AoE control meets I laugh in the face of AVs. can't be beat. Plus, with the proper slots (or proper teammates), he can tank AVs

Ice/Ice/Elec is my baby, it excels in every situation I have encountered. Great damage, great control, great survivability. I also really enjoy my Elec/Nrg as it is a completely different play style and allows me a more 'hands on' approach to any given situation.
