I'm looking forward to entering, but my arc is currently invalid (they closed off the use of Zigursky Prisoners for the moment). If it becomes valid again befor ethe deadline I'll post it here .

Finally got the story I wanted created published. Here's my Entry:

Arc Name: The Lure of the Carnival
Author: @Hericane
Publish Number: 92202
Description: The Carnival of Shadows strike Paragon City, and has something in store for its heroes. (Note: one of the map locations doesn't make sense I know, but the Carnival unique map isn't available and the Dance Rave map didn't allow what I needed.)
Length: Very Long (5 missions)

Thanks for the entries. It's beginning to look like a contest now at least

And Morgenstern, I actually played your arc with the prisoners already and have it rated also so I'd be willing to accept it as an entry if you so desire.

While I've been making small refinements to the storyline and dialogue since it went live, I'd be happy to be allowed to compete based on an earlier version if the Prisoners aren't available again before the deadline - thank you .

Here's my submission:

Arc Name: Teen Phalanx Forever!
Arc ID: 67335
Faction: Vahzilok, Clockwork, Freakshow, Rogue Robots
Creator Global/Forum Name: @PW / PoliceWoman
Difficulty Level: Moderate; there is one AV/EB per mission, but they are intentionally easy AVs/EBs (NOT customized), and allies are present to help.
Synopsis: The Teen Phalanx is on a recruitment drive, and they've extended an invitation to a teen version of your hero to try out! Do you have what it takes to join Paragon City's most prestigious teen superhero team?
Morality: Heroic
Estimated Time to Play: 4 missions, estimate 60-90 mins.
Level range: 15-20, 20, 20-25, 29-30 (mission levels gradually increase to "level" you up)

Not to put a crimp on this or anything, but aren't entries supposed to be in a PM to Projectionist?

I do like the variety of arcs listed though. It gives me a list to play through as well.

Here is my first one.

Arc Name: Operation: Undertow
Arc ID: 81942
Faction: Neutral
Creator Global/Forum Name: @Dragon King
Difficulty Level: Easy to Hard depending on your difficulty settings. Several bosses and only one EB in the entire arc. Meant to be lowbie and solo friendly for all AT's.
Synopsis: Help find Undertow and stop her at all cost!!!
Estimated Time To Play: 5 missions - 45 to 60 minutes
Enemy Groups: Family, Sky Raiders, Freakshow Custom Group, Longbow.

Further Comments: one EB but there is an ally to help if needed. There are level gaps but was done trying to keep the flavor of the story. Tested with low and high characters.

Since I recently found out that MA arcs are shared between US and EU servers, I invited our European brethren to participate in the contest.

Here is a copy of a post I made on the EU forum to answer some questions about the prizes:

[ QUOTE ]

• It can be your own character, those of a friend or a canon NPC (not that many will want a Statesman figure, I suspect).
• If it's not your own character I might pose restrictions on how you wish for it to be depicted unless you get permission from the owner (no extreme lewdness, maiming etc. For your own characters no such limitations exist ). This enables you get something as surprise gift art for a friend as long as I have no reason to suspect it won’t be received amiably by the person.
• Nothing is ready-made. You will be in on the design from start and get drafts for approval.
• The figurines are mainly made in Sculptey-clay. Mixed-media refers to the fact that I might use metal, plastic, fabric etc for details. Since the figures won’t be designed for mass producing/molding there’s no limit on the amount of details and surface textures that can be put on it.
• The figurines will be painted and lacquered unless otherwise desired.
• Mini-diorama refers to an extended base of the figurine that can have additional sculpted elements (a defeated clockwork, your favorite base floor tile, a small Wentworth’s building making your character look like a giant, etc)
• I’m sorry I don’t have any examples of figurines to show you. It’s been a long time since I made any but recently decided to start working with them again. I have some practice pieces planned and I suspect the prize figurines will take considerable time to make.

Yes, Leese explained the bit about the in-game tells. All communication with EU will be resolved by PMs and public postings on the UK forum. Since I might revisit your arc several times before the final decision and arcs can be edited and republished, I won’t leave any comments until after the contest is over. I will then give any feedback you like, either privately or public. I do however give a star rating right after having played it. This initial rating is part of the total scoring.

I hope this clears up a few things

Nice

Small suggestion, maybe you could draw a quick flyer or something, and have Niv post it in this, or the thread in the MA forum, similar to other event flyers, because I think this one isn't getting the attention it deserves.

Posts drown quickly in the MA forums, so having a red name to track it, along with a nice picture should be a nice boost.

My entry for anyone else who wants to try it:

Arc Name: The Magic of Longbow
ID: 128646
Faction: Villian
Creator: @SkitchNM

Difficulty: The Longbow Mystics are elemental based so they can get a bit tricky, and you get a powerful ally for the last boss (ally help is optional). No elite bosses or archvillains.
Suggested Level: 40+
Estimated Playtime: About an hour

Description: A new branch of Longbows have emerged, all armed with magical powers. These Longbows will lead to massive death and destruction around the Islands unless someone stops them.

If I had a slot, I'd love to do a new arc for it. But since I am slotless at the moment, for your consideration:

#24002 A Farming Tale
Global: @GadgetDon

Farmer Brown needs your help. Four men went out to the back forty, three came back with tales of weird monsters. He needs you to rescue the last man, and find out what's happening. (Not a farming arc, it's an arc about a farm.)

My arcs are constantly shifting, just search for GadgetDon for the latest.

Here's a quickie for ya. Just 1 mish with 5 cute Anime school-girl bosses and bunch of in-jokes. If you've heard of Azumanga Daioh you'll enjoy the in-jokes, but if not, it should still be amusing:

Enter the Father Hat Gang arc ID 21391 (click link for teaser Poster)

Have fun and good luck. Should be pretty breezy with either of your level 50s, you may want to bump it to at least Rugged.

Craft your inventions in AE!!

Play "Crafter's Cafe" - Arc #487283. A 1 mission, NON-COMBAT AE arc with workable invention tables!

PM sent - good luck to all, I look forward to trying out some of the arcs posted here. Here's mine -

Arc 131158
Dr. Sigler and the ChronoJumper

A long, story driven arc concerning what happens when you tamper with forces not fully understood. A look at the consequences of even the most minor actions, and the hard decisions a hero must face when the fate of the world is in his hands.

For upper level solo characters, some missions will be harder than others, but no EB or AV involved, so should be accessible to most. My first story, I have so much more respect for the story developers now....

I designed one with lowbies in mind, so it uses 1 small and 2 medium maps, and all the enemies are set to Standard. I also tried to give a slight spin to a cliched mission type ("Runaway toys!").

Arc ID: 132772
Length: Long (3 missions)
Enemy Groups: Custom Group
Morality: Heroic
Levels: 1-54 (intended for 1-25)
