Will we be able to save our custom villain groups in a similar fashion to the way we save costumes, so that we can reuse them later? I don't want to have to remake the same villain group twenty times.

sorry if this has been answered,

but what happens if a player already holds 3 missions in there cue. Do MA missions act as a TF or ORO flashback?

Or are we going to be able to hold more then the 3 active missions now?

again sorry if this has been answered

I was lukewarm on the MA until I read the writeup. Now I think it has a lot of fun potential.

I was a GM and builder on a Neverwinter server and the ability to tell special stories was one reason I stayed there so long. With MA I can create missions meant for specific people or even myself (or others for me) to advance our roleplay and character stories. I think that is awesome.

I assume when you are testing you can bring along a team. If that's true then I'd never have to actually publish those arcs right? Just run them the one time in test mode and then delete it?

I suppose I don't mind publishing them to the community at large but because of the specificity I wouldn't think anyone else would be interested.

AFAIR, it's like an Ouro TF, that can be joined regardless of how many normal missions you have, and dropped at anytime.

My questions are this, can you have multiple AVs in a spawn similar to the LRSF or STF? Can our AVs have PToD™ too? Can our AVs or critters trigger powers at certain health levels, like say nuke at 75% health, 50% health, or 25% health? Can we have our critters use certain powers in sequence? Like say Aim--->Melt Armor---->Inferno.

Bump and Grind Bane/SoA
Kenja No Ishi Earth/Empathy Controller

Entoxicated Ninja/PSN Mastermind
Ninja Ryukenden Kat/WP Scrapper
Hellish Thoughts Fire/PSI Dominator

Thank You Devs for Merits!!!!

Good luck getting them to "fix those mistakes". Much less acknowledge them as such.

It only took three+ years of logic, whining, and arguments to get them to admit Empath was "broken".

Keep in mind that was probably because risk vs reward had a different meaning when he who must not be named was in charge *cough* Jack *cough*

From what I understand, you can do this in test mode without publishing. However, there is no XP or other reward for playing in test mode.

This is not a big deal to me; it still offers fantastic RP potential in addition to the regular content. I can see playing SG-specific missions in test mode, while still playing/creating other published arcs as well.

The best of all worlds. Wow. Time to start prewriting; MA sounds like a winner!

WRT Maps:

Two questions on maps asked above have already been sort of answered in official statements so far, to summarize:

Players have access to virtually all maps that are available to the devs (which number about 1,000). There may be a few that would be designated as unusable for the players (perhaps, maybe, the Eden TF map, e.g.). There will definitely be some that will be unlocked by tickets. Tickets are earned not only for creating arcs and having your created arcs rated, they are earned as rewards for playing your own or other players' published arcs. So, if you want to unlock a unique map, you can simply play other people's arcs until you get enough ticket to unlock it. Whether that's easy or hard... <shrug>

Can a "published" arc be edited by the owner? If so, does the arc's rating and status get reset?

[/ QUOTE ]

Yes, its called a re-publish and it will preserve ratings info.

[/ QUOTE ]

I'm sure beta testers are all over this, but doesn't that mean you could make a good arc, get good ratings, then change it to be full of porn and spam and upload it again? I've been wondering how you would handle the republishing thing, because any way you go with it seems full of pot holes.

[/ QUOTE ]

MD5 sums

I.e., lose the ratings if you modify it. Very likely to have something like that in place, it's not actually very difficult to compare files and see if there's been a change.

Not getting into it again, but you still have to defeat <x> number for them. There's no difference between beating 1000 monkies on Monkey Island or defeating 1000 monkies in a MA map, you've still beaten 1000 monkies.

[/ QUOTE ]
Except that 1000 of them are "real" monkies, and 1000 of them are "virtual" monkeys. It makes no difference to the player, it's true, but a badge is given to a character for actually doing something. If they only did it online, they didn't really do it.*,**

* = You can insert some joke about Pocket D exploits and RL virginity here if you like.

** = If a mission is promoted to full reward status and doesn't provide badge progress for kills, I'd be a little surprised. If a mission is so well-received that it makes it into canon and doesn't provide badge progress for kills, I'd be shocked, since canon-level promotion implies that it's now part of the game world's "objective" reality.

I didn't read all of the thread, so I don't know if this has been answered, but I'm assuming we can save an unfinished arc, yes?

I.E. I'm building a super-awesome 5 mission arc, and I am currently creating the boss you need to defeat to beat the mission. Well, turns out I have to go. Can I save my first mission, what I have done to my second mission and the work I have done to the final boss?

I would think it would have to save unfinished content - it just might not be playable until you finish it. Joe and Matt were saying on the interview that you could easily spend a lot of time working on a mission, writing text, etc. I hardly think they would expect a player to do all that work in one lump sum

And I don't see the importance of people harping on PvP, or how merits/skeball tickets/whatever will "affect the market", or other things.

Different folks find different things important. To you it isn't, to me it is.

Right, except we just had an issue with all mostly new badges and pvp. Not as if the devs are ignoring that segment.

Also I don't think its far fetched to expect the devs to not implement the tool to open up farming when they try not to encourage it. Notice i said try.

Bingo! I feel the same.

But I assume you can delete your own published module so I guess it doesn't matter either way. Go ahead and publish it just before running and delete afterward... assuming it isn't generic enough that others might also enjoy it.

[/ QUOTE ]

Every indication is that you use instanced maps and there are no missions out in the zones.

If there is an outdoor instanced map of the zone, then you can use it.

Now, there is the instanced map of the Abyss for the LGTF, so it *may* be possible that's available, or available as an unlockable.
