One important note! If you still have either of the temp power (Holiday Spirit or Holiday Cheer) from previous events, you will not get either of the new powers. Make sure you use them or delete them before the event starts if you want new copies of them!

I'm super excited for this. I've made two Holiday Outfits. One for fighting and racing and one for fancy shmancy celebrating. I'm working on City of Holiday Carol binds and am preping to open every present that comes my way and spend all my time in the Chalet helping anyone who needs it.
I love this time of year in Paragon!

Are those Naughty or Nice Aura's temporary or permanent?
Snaptooth again, what's this 3 years in a row now? C'mon dev's cant you develope something different, us old timers are getting bored with the same thing every year.
They are permanent, and they are an aura, not a head detail.
I hope they do some datamining after the winter event to see who had the fastest time on the slopes per server, that would be interesting information to read hehe.

Would it be possible to extend the winter event? It seems a tad short... I just want to take advantage of it to it's fullest, but with overtime, family and Xmas stuff, 3 weeks doesnt seem like alot.
And I'm so looking forward to the new ski slopes! I'm going to be playing the SSX3 soundtrack in the background just for the heck of it! I just get so stoked when I hear RockStar (Jason Nevins Remix)

Can I humbly request that at least one more mission is added to the Winter Event? We all like running the Baby New Year mish multiple times but with so many alts it would be nice to be able to alternate and do another mission or 2.
That said, I DO love the stuff you've done with the event so far...so keep making it BETTER!
Does anyone know if the halo auras are going to be available as soon as you unlock them or do we have to wait until 30th level to get them? I'm really hoping that they make these available at level 1 like the auras from the cyborg pack.

So, where did people see that there were 4 new badges? All I saw was Frostbitten that was new. Are their 3 new badges to go with the new ski slope, aside from the three from the prior ski slopes?
The universal travel enhancements and the auras will be cool. I've still got all the temp powers from last year's event on several characters, so it looks like one badge, the enhancements and the auras are the only things I need this time around.
I am very much looking forward to the new slope. Skiing is so much fun. I DID hate getting the gold medal badge last year though. My main is a super jumper, and I am personally not very coordinated, so it was a pain getting that badge.

the three other badges are the bronze/silver/gold medalist badges from the slopes.
What about the gloves and booties? Anyone see if those will be available again? I sincerely hope so..

I know I'm gonna get a lot of snowballs thrown my way, and called Scrooge for saying this, but...
May I humbly suggest that the Winter Event be suspended until all major issus and bugs revolving around Issue 13 - including client server stability issues - are resolved. As I have said in /bugs, /petitions, PMs and on these forums numerous times, all the shinies in the world are worthless if you can not enjoy them properly.
I'd also suggest that the following new items be postponed until I13 issues are resolved:
-Mac platform playability.
-double XP weekends.
-Valentines Day event (if these problems persist until February).
In short, I would like to see the devs working on nothing else but I13 issues, to the exclusion of everything else, until the major problems with it are resolved.
-or-
I'd like to see the devs finally come out and say they're sorry, fully admiting that I13 is irrevically broke. And then take that which was broken by it back to the starting point - and either leave it alone or start again with less loftier goals.

I just wish they would start it on a Friday or Saturday as opposed to a Monday since supposedly it only requires a flip of a switch to turn it on. A lot of people work during the week, would just be a nice gesture to put it out for the weekend. Please.

Yes, there are 3 new badges to go with the "enhanced ski run", in addition to the 3 from the "expert slopes" last year.

When they tested this new Chalet feature it was before Halloween I think. And, very brief. But it is a LOT of fun, you'll be surprised.

It's nice the event will be starting "soon" but i just can't seem to get excited by the news this year, doesn't help that i am really hating xmas this year but thats my issue, maybe a few runs on the slopes will clear my holiday blues.
