When are they going to add an NPC Sister Flame in Pocket D so that everyone on all servers can meet her. I, too, need a reason to bounce around the room and burn off some energy!

This story is awesome!

That was great of War Witch. I'm glad Sister Flame got to meet her favorite Hero! Sister Flame seems to have gotten to alot of people!

She inspired me to let my four-year old nephew to stop watching and let him on my computer to street sweep, while I got on my laptop and ran with him. That was great.

War Witch is cool, but her alter ego Ghost Witch was awesome. I think it was christmas of 2006, pretty sure it wasn't last christmas, but Ghost Witch stopped by and chatted with the players in Pocket D. Couple of players wanted her to put her hand through their chest and steal their soul, but she was being really nice that day. I even gave her my present and she gave one back. Then when she had to leave, she didn't just log out or blink, she just faded out with style.

AAAAAAWwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww...

I just read that and it's pretty damn cute! And she's a fire blaster! That's just too awesome!

If she ever wants to duo with a higher level fire blaster, I'd be more than glad to SK her up and let 'er see the "fun" power at 32.

Great story, and wonderful to see in todays day an' age!

This is such an adorable and inspiring story.

My baby girl is only 3 months old... but i can't wait to share daddy/kiddo time with her when she's ready!

Thanks Wyll (and Sister Flame) for sharing!

It'll come faster than you know it, trust me.

Just thought I'd comment on something I noticed with dear Sister Flame. She is close to level 23, but she has a tendency to not use powers in her second tray slot. Most precisely: if it doesn't shoot, she doesn't fire it. Now, she knows how to use all of her powers, but she seems to not understand the concept of using holds. Thankyfully, I can tell her when to fire off Rain of Fire and she will (or she'll ask me if it gets a little tight in certain situations).

Does it impact her effectiveness? Not really . I've lined up her powers so that she can click through them in a nice attack chain and she knows which color of mob to go after fisrt. Maybe I'll work on haveing her use her holds more... or maybe not. She's done so well up until now, why should I mess with happiness?

Why fix something that isn't broken? I'm sure Sister Flame will learn on her own that when she uses a hold power her enemies cant hurt her and she can bring the fire!

I've really enjoyed reading the adventures you and sister flame are having. Makes a long day at work a little easier!

Tell her you want to play ring-around-the-villain. Get her to fire a hold, then you two run around the villain singing Ring Around the Posy, and when you get to 'all fall down' you both fire off your attacks.

That should impress upon her the power of a hold.

SF rocked the house. She was great. I got to say hi to her sisters, too.

With any luck the new ability to move things around on the UI and have more visible trays out might help there

This thread is still so full of awesome.

I guess I should make a comment on Sister Flame's attitude towards I12. I told her all the things that was going to happen and you know what she was most excited about?

The Hollows.

Apart from being a War Witch thing (that gets a +10 on the cool factor from Flame), I told her how they were going to move mobs and change some of them.

Flame: So it will be easier to move around?

Wyll: It should be and they'll be a few different mobs there.

Flame: They gonna keep Frostfire?

Wyll: Ayep.

Flame: Sweet! When is it going to happen?

Wyll: Soon!!!

So, the Romans and Power Proliferation get a "meh" from Flame, but the Hollow's redesign and the costume creator get a big "yay" from her. In fact, all three of the daughters are double keen on the costume creator overhaul.

"It's like playing Barbie dressup, but it is on the computer" as described by my eldest.

Yes, our dear City of X has been summed up as "playing Barbie dressup".

Bingo, I had to learn this the hard way. My boy's been playing since he was about 7 or so and he's 10 now. It's a weekend type situation and he only plays on Saturdays/Sundays when he's with me. So he's been playing as long as I have, just not as often.

I recently setup a second computer and we were really excited for us to finally get to play together. The second week we played, he asked me, "Dad, do you like my playstyle?" and I said sure why do you ask? He told me that I was kind of "Bossing him around". I tried to tell him that it was strategy, things that teams normally do: "You go here, you go there, you get the boss, I'll take the minions, etc" But then I realized that it was part teammate talking, and part "dad". So I backed off and let the kid do his thing, and wonder of wonders we did just fine! And he had a much better time playing, without dad's help.

I did thank him the next day, on the trip back to his mother's house, for speaking up a letting me know what I was doing, rather than just backing off and maybe stop playing with me rather than to say anything.

Sounds like Lil Sister's doing fine (a testament to you, for sure) so I think you've got the right idea letting her do her thing. More than likely she'll be asking you (or finding out on her own) what all those other buttons do

And as others have said, this thread DEFINITELY defines what this game is about: FUN and sometimes it takes seeing it though the eyes of a child, the eyes of innocence to bring us back to that.

Thanks for sharing!

Honestly, I have explained this game to people as "Barbie Dressup with super powers".
