More pictures coming...

Update on the gorgeous girl pit! I dropped her off at a dog grooming center last night that has many resources for adoption that do not include euthanasia. She has a micro chip but searches resulted in expired numbers and old data. She is very healthy, at least 2 years old and was seemingly well taken care of but lacks basic training so she will need an owner that can give some direct care over time.

As far as aggression, my labs are far more likely to be a problem than this girl, but again that comes down to responsible owners. I have no doubt that if she were to fight that she would be a tanker, she is a full bodied, short, saffy/red nose mix and is very strong; but she thinks she is a lap dog!

I didn't name her or call her anything as I didn't want to confuse her or bond! My dogs were already upset at my interaction with the beautiful girl.

When she is adopted out, the grooming shop promised to call and let me know the details. So I'll keep you posted.

pit bulls, Rottweilers, Presa Canarios and their mixes are responsible for 74% of attacks that were included in the study ....

If I were to only include the data I wanted I could get any result also. When I was an EMT (granted 20 some years ago... but...) I dealt with more poodle bites than any large dog bites. I've owned Pits... Petey from the little rascals was an American pit bull. All about Petey
Pits can be wonderful animals.

Ex, I am happy somebody is taking care of that animal. So cool that you took the time to take care of her.

The Office should adopt her. The put a cape on her give her a superheoey name. Then she would be Trusted Canine Companion of the Freedom Phalnax.

Maybe it would even inspire the animation depatment to make some four legged models.

What happens is people want Pit Bulls to be a guard dog and mistreat/miss train them to be overly aggressive. And unfortunately the view of them is based on this overly aggressive type. If a Pit Bull is raised in a good environment and treated well they are a friendly well adjusted dog.

Oh and I really like the toy collection there in the back ground of Jays area.

Ex please take the time to do a general web search for the names of the previous owner of the dog. The info on the micro-chip is enough to use the web to find the place of the current owner. If nothing else you can pay a research company about $25-$75 to get current information. Most decent people who love their animals enough to get them chipped are willing to pay for most costs associated with getting back a member of their family.

We are doing what we can, unfortunately I am leaving town to spend time with the family for the holidays and the local animal shelter confirmed to me that after about five days she would be put down.

I've got ad's out and posters up near where I found here, but the area is remote, the data on the chip is out dated, and the chip was placed by the original shelter that adopted her out, the same one that said she would be put down.

So all in all, it appears as though she has been abandoned, but there is enough contact information that any family really trying to find her, should have no trouble at all locating her.

I know for me, I wouldn't sleep if any of my pet family were missing. Considering I picked her up on Monday, and have heard nothing from the shelters, ad's, or posters, I needed to find a short term solution.

At any rate, any person who becomes her care-giver is getting an incredible animal.

Dear Devs,

I wish you all the best with your move, and with the new premises. Merry Christmas to you all, and my best wishes to you and your families.

Thank you ever so much for making such a great game that has been such an important part of my leisure life these past 3-and-a-half years.

Here's to many more years of success to the CoX franchise.

Best wishes,

Spatch

I think right there, if the dog was friendly enough to allow a stranger to bring her around anywhere, that's the sign of a good dog. Regardless of whether it's been abandoned or not, I hope for the best on this.

The same shelter? The exact same shelter that adopted her out to the people that y'all can't find now? So, uhm... do they have, like, a name? And a phone book?

You know what's funny? The first thing I thought upon seeing that picture is that his desk is suspiciously clean. Most IT staffers I've met have piles of manuals, cables, screws, tools, CDs / DVDs and mis-behaving PCs piled on their desks.

Oh wait, I totally resemble that remark

I deny all accurate portrayals of the above scenario. I have now been dubbed the Paparazzi of the office, I also deny that title until payment for pictures commences, after which I will be more than happy to take your picture.

Like Jay even more now. I also have a action figure.... problem.

[/ QUOTE ]
Yes, I've seen this quite often in collectors of action figures - the strange inability to open the container. Yet these same people can open much more difficult containers that hold computer equipment in them. Very mysterious.

Thankfully, any six year old child can solve your problem and many can do so without any instruction or special tools. Simply leave one or two of them in Jay's cube and go do lunch. When you come back, at least half of them will be open and ready to play with!

I thought I had broken my action figure...problem...after the Episode 1's were done...

Sadly, I am falling back on old habits now for some reason...darn those redo's of the 3 3/4" GI Joes! Dang them!
