It's a fantastic idea, and I'm glad that they are hosting it! It will really give people a chance to see the I9 improvements, as the incentive will most certainly drag many people into playing.
I'm happy for it, even if I can't personally benefit.
Dare I ask, are drop rates doubled along with XP and Inf?

Excellent news! I'll be a part of one or more PUG's taking full advantage of this over the Double XP fest.
In answer to the other person's question regarding drop rates - I'm pretty sure Positron would have mentioned it if they were doubled.

Great news Posi, and hats off to you guys for doing this again. These are always so much fun, although they usually make my altitis even worse than usual.
Maybe now I can finally get my 2nd 50 after 18 months haha!
I got 8 levels from the last double xp event (went from 34 to 42) and have recently gotten to 43. (hey, I was getting a brute and a few other alts lvled up, so less time for my main)
But now.....
Positron, you sir, have just given me the gateway to my first level 50.

Woohoo! I was just trying to figure out what to do next, and this double xp is the perfect chance to lvl my stalker team (me and some friends are making a 3 man stalker pvp team on pinnacle for sirens pvp, so beware)

Edit: Or maybe a temporary power that lasts 48 hours real time or game time? Maybe 48 hours across the whole account instead of each character. This would make the people that can't make it much much happier.

Wow... almost an hour has passed and not one troll has popped in to whine/complain/peepee/moan that this will bring certain d00m to the servers and lag all to d33th!!!! Nothing is sadder than watching every patch, event, and gift delivered by the devs get met with some tard w/ GiftHorseInMouth disease...

I've been keeping all my characters at the debt cap to have more chance per level to earn costume drops. Now the devs even want to take that away from me.
WHY?! WHY MUST YOU MAKE ME SO MISERABLE, CRYPTIC?! WHY MUST YOU TAUNT ME AT EVERY TURN?
Is it me? Is it something I said? Please forgive me! I'll be a good boy if you just stop with the hitting and hurting... PLEASE NO MORE DOUBLE XP BELT!
Okay, trying to keep a straight face through that is difficult.
While my complaint may seem valid, it's not very. I can play characters that I don't have a lot of reason to look for costume pieces on (my stalker who's invisible all the time anyway) or play in exemp situations to earn 4x inf in order to help buy the pieces outright.

I am interested in seeing if the increased inf gain will have a noticeable inflationary effect on the market. I wish I knew more about economics so that I could isolate factors to keep an eye on in order to have a 'barometer'.

In the UK, they recently had a double XP weekend. Drop rates were doubled as well.
JPBarter, where will YOU be in Vegas? We should get together and, amongst all of the sexual depravity, gambling, world quality shows, and find dining, lament our lack of online video games.
