It really makes you think just how many people Care more about the leveling than the game content itself. It's also ironic how it's those extra people who complain most about wanting more content, whether it be more zones, new enemies, more powers, etc etc etc.

I take issue with some of what you just said. Game content IS leveling in a lot of ways. There are so many mission that are the same time after time after time. To me, It is the level of difficulty, the new and different powers, teams and the next island (set of levels) that make it fun for me. All of that is game content!

Many people I play with are not real excited about starting a new toon and make the climb to where they can get a travel skill and not have to run everywhere. Level 14 make is where the fun really starts for me and if I could start all toons there I would do it. Low levels are really boring ( I hate snakes!). I know a number of people who complain about the long grind from 35 to 50. That is the beast time in my eyes where your toons skills really mesh well.

Amen, brothah!!!

I didn't play any of the heroes I have at 30+, because they are in their prime. They have a good set of powers, interesting story arcs, and plenty to do. My highest lvl guy is almost at the end of the Malta arc, and that's sad because it's been so fun!

So Friday, I made a new Warshade, got to lvl 8 in an hour, came back that evening, and got to 14 a couple hours later. Then I got a scrapper from 28 to 30, then on Sunday took the Warshade to 20.

So that was the best part of Double-XP for me - now my new Hero is high enough to be interesting with a good set of powers to play with. If they made a Vet reward of double-xp for _x_ levels, or simply doubled the XP rate of low-level characters, I'd be overjoyed.

Overall, the weekend went well for me. I played on Victory, didn't have much lag at all, and Wentworth's was extremely fast for browsing, but slow for posting and seeing prices.

Had a really good time.

I don't know if this has been said in the previous 26 pages (I read alot of it but not all), but can we have these events more often? The Fathers Day planning put me completely missing out on the event.

I have been playing and paying for this game for over 3 years now...never missed a payment. I used to play it hard and heavy. I have several characters across multiple servers. When a new issue comes out, I jump in and play a few nights. But with work, a baby, things to do around the house, I just don't have the time to invest in crunching a toon up to a level that gets fun story arcs or wild locals.

With the game being this long in the tooth, new issues do bring some enjoyment back to the aging game, and I still LOVE the game. But I also like trying new things, making new toons, etc. Nothing brings me back to the fold like knowing my time spent playing will result in instant gratification with new levels and powers and whatnot.

All I'm really asking, is can the devs cater to those of us that don't have the time to crunch levels because of work, family, life, etc by making the double XP weekends a monthly event? I know I would sure play more and I'm sure I'm not the only one that feels this way. Maybe even just having double XP days scattered throughout the month. Something...ANYTHING.

Great work on the x2 XP every one i know that played had a easy time getting teams and xp
i myself got my stalker form 21 to 33
my brute from 35 to 39
and my WS from 28 to 30
12 lvs in the weekend great stuff
i feel sorry for those on freedom that coundnt log in
but why not make an alt on another server and have fun
instead of frustrate for 30 min+ and then just whine

I said this on another threat, but perhaps is better here . . . I understand they want to get more people to play (and pay), but for those of us who are long-time, regular players, it's more than irritating to not be able to log on to the server we normally play on because of those clogging it up who are just trying it out or they had a free trial and more than likely won't be back. (Another thread deserves my rant on the "noob" defenders that were out there this weekend .... grrr.)

When they have these double xp weekends and free trials, it would be more than great if they made it so that all free trials, new accounts or accounts that have been inactive for more than two months would automatically not be able to log into Freedom or Virtue , the two most popular servers. I don't want to have to play on another server because Freedom's too full due to a temporary player base. Seems like something that could (and should) be done.

I agree with your concept, but I doubt it will ever happen. I proposed an idea of haveing promo events on specific servers like 2x XP of guardian to bring players to less used server. Well lets just say I got blasted from both sides. Those who thought they would be punished for being on a more popular server and those who don't want more players on their server that create lag and other issues..... I'm not sure there will be a solution to this and I do expect it will happen gain

I'm curious (hey, it's a cat thing) how PI was. The last X2 weekend there were a billion toons in their teens and below doing shouts for PL to 50 which brought lag (at least for me) to a crawl even with all my graphics minimized (the other zones weren't as bad). I know this kind of leveling just doesn't happen during events like this. A few weeks ago I was on a team with a guy below lvl 10 who was bragging 10 of his 12 character slots were 50's lvled in this mannor (what is the point IMO). I didn't venture out to PI this time so I was wondering if that zone suffered more than the other zones again.
