Sorry gang, I broke them both.

My emo post came off all to bad yesterday. Reallive issues caused me to be more upset than I had any right to be.
And the real job and real lifes comment was out of line. (at least it was poorly worded. What i meant waas that i wasnt a student and didnt have a parttime job that lets me take off with 2 weekes notice)
All in all I am just saying sorry for the bad form post i made yesterday. It really isnt the normal tone in my posts.

The event starts at 9 a.m. Friday morning (PDT) and runs through Sunday evening. There is plenty of time to get mad double XP even without ignoring your dad and convincing him your a heartless videogame-obsessed monster. Really!

I work on Friday. That means that there will be hours -- hours! -- when that double XP will just be wasting away while I earn my pay. Then the time I'll spend eating, sleeping, in the shower, out enjoying the sun...all that time wasted when I could be glued to my PC earning double XP!

Somehow I'll get through. I suspect those celebrating Father's day will manage as well.

I agree with you whole-heartedly. Even if some people do spend all day Sunday with their father, that still leaves half of Friday and all of Saturday.

Unless, of course, you're the dad like I am with several kids coming in on Friday and staying the weekend.

Now, I'm not about to miss a weekend with the kids to play a video game and I won't get my Depends in a knot about missing another 2XP weekend, but it is the kind of issue you'd hope someone might consider before scheduling an event.

Obviouisly they can't take into account everyone's schedule, but -- and this is just a wild guess -- I suspect a majority of people playing the game are fathers themselves and/or have fathers. So, taking Fathers Day into consideration before scheduling a 2XP weekend doesn't seem like an extraordinary expectation.

I for one think the would be an excellent idea. This is not the 1970's, when most people worked Monday thru Friday at 9-5 jobs. Times have changed, there is a large majority of the population that works on weekends or works odd shifts like 12-18 days that may even fall on weekend days. So a midweek envent say perhaps Tuesday thru Thursday may appease that faction of the player base.

I do think these events are great and are a very nice gesture. I have played other games have have offered other similar short term treats and appreicate the value of them.

Perhaps even having 2 weekend and 2 midweek events per year would work. I know you can't make everybody happy. I also realize if these events are held too often it cheapens the game. And as alot of us know the game is filled with alot of cheap (unearned) 50's

i gotta get my lvl 22 WS to fifty and maybe get started on my lvl 20 scrapper. the scrapper has been lvl 20 for many months. maybe i'll get somewhere this weekend

Father's Day doesn't faze me, we planned to meet Dad the week after anyway. Of course, I'm female and don't have kids or a husband....so, I'm in the minority most likely. It does make one wonder why the weekend was not offered when more players would benefit from it...or am I the majority and there aren't many missing out? Either way, its good for me. Sorry to all of you who are missing out, though. Wish I could remotely play for you just to get you all the xp you guys deserve. OH, and Happy Father's Day to the Dads out there!

Wheeeeee!!! Double XP here I come! Looking to really get my lvl 40 mm close to 50! My first lvl 50! Wheeeeeee!!!

Oh, and if I get lag at all this weekend, I'm blaming ALL OF YOU. <looks around nastily> Seriously. I can't stand it. That means you. And you. And YOU!

I agree with this 100%. I'm not going to be able to really play much since its Father's Day weekend.

I'm not trying to look a gift horse in the mouth. Thank you for the double XP weekend, but couldn't SOMEONE have looked at a calendar and said "hmm this is father's day guys. lets move it up or down 1 week."

Again, thank you very much for the Double XP weekend. I'm thankful what what I have. But in the future could we not have it on a holiday weekend when most guys are forced to spend time with family?

However...Think also about all the people that will be home that weekend because it is father's day weekend...they may get their play on friday and saturday...everyone doesn't necessarily have to play the whole weekend (though it is always nice). Personally, if they had moved it back a week i would not have made it...even this weekend I will only be able to play sometimes...anywayz, I wish all everyone a happy weekend double xp or not as we patiently...patiently...patiently wait

P.S. Did I mention that we are very patient right now

My dad died 2 years ago...Fathers day has become distraction day for me...and no better distraction than double xp
