flushing dns cache worked for me. If I would have read this thread earlier I might have seen the suggestion.
But here is what you can type into your mac to flush the dns cache
dscacheutil -flushcache
best of luck -
It can be any worse that any of the real twilight movies/books

this is what I get when trying to run cider with terminal so I could see what is happening
/Applications/City of Heroes.app/Contents/MacOS/cider: cannot find 'c:\coh\cohupdater.exe -beta'
logout -
Quote:http://boards.cityofheroes.com/showp...79&postcount=2As far as I have seen, the beta is still closed and if my memory of the past is correct, close beta means that you are not supposed to talk about it outside a designated area.
which tells people to come here with mac problems
Anyone can install the client. Access to the actual content is another story -
Oddly enough a few minutes ago I got up to 16 attempts on my mac
Rebooted and connected right away -
I just installed via the instructions in Cuppa's thread it was quick and easy for me. Even easier since I run vmware fusion so anything I save to the mac desktop goes to my win 7 desktop so I could extract the files and paste them in the correct spot.

Quote:It's going to take a few hours to download updates with a fresh installHey guys,
I've taken a break from CoH for awhile and in that break I switched from PC to Mac. Loving the Mac so far, so I decided to get the CoH Mac version.
I downloaded the Mac client from the NC Store today, and loaded it to my dock and clicked it to start it up. It doesn't seem to be doing anything, I can't visually see anything on my screen even. Just the swirly timer thing when I put it up near the Apple Icon (top left corner).
Is it just downloading the updates for CoH, and will take awhile for me to see anything on the screen?
I'm running Mac OS X V10.6.3 -
I'm on call for work woo hoo . Last time was fun I got a server down alert just as the match started

I can confirm iMac i5 processor fully updated is running with no troubles.
Env reflect is on I may have shadow off I don't remember it's been over 12 hours since I logged into the game. -
I've been glancing over the guides you made good stuff in there
I also have some linux knowledge so I can def brick a mac in a few minutes with some of the terminal commands like sudo rm -rf (if you don't know what it does don't try it). I'm itching to get started on it and trying it out in game. -
Well I'm breaking down and getting an iMac 27" i5 as my 1st Mac. After being in IT for long enough doing nothing but supporting msft while more clients are buying Apple products it's about time I learn.
Any tips, tricks, things to keep in mind when playing after many years of playing on a Windows box? IE: Ctrl and Cmd in relation to Alt and Ctrl
Also any free app recommendations are welcome
Thanks! -
I will be there this week which should be fun for everyone since I've never PVP'ed before so be sure to look for me Robbie Shanks aka easy target easy kill

I still want to figure out the WHOLE past of the Rikti. Ya know, it would be interesting for a future patch that you would take a stolen rikti bombing ship to their planet... Alright, sorry about that.

I was thinking about that earlier just looking at their ships etc makes me wonder how advanced everything else they have is -
