I ran into her and Larry both on pinnacle - we'd JUSt created an IC "Search and Rescue" SG (empath defenders and controllers with fire department theme)... and this pair of peacebringers thought the theme was really cool and gave us a mil inf apiece. We got to talking.. and found out it was Ms. Lackey and Mr. Dixon!!!
So yeah, I need to go buy a copy of this book. Didn't care for her Valdemar stuff, but her sci-fi and urban fantasy works turn my crank big-time.
As for DJ's art... dude... you are awesome as always.

Thats unbelievable. My first thought when I saw it was, it looked like the art on a cover to a novel.
We are truly blessed to have someone like you DarkJedi. Your pieces are always so life-like that I sometimes mistaken them for real good photograph edits.

Of course speaking only for myself, his stuff is significantly higher up the food chain to do post work on....

DJ, in all honesty, I have to tell you, I have a real problem with your artwork.
My problem is that I keep running out of superlatives to use when trying to describe it. 
This is yet another truly outstanding piece. Simply breathtaking. As a Poser amateur myself I have to say: how you achieve such amazing work is beyond me, even taking good postwork skills into account. It just doesn't get any better than this.

I've seen stuff in the art forum that was good, but your art DJ make thier stuff look normal (no offense to you normal artists your art is still fathoms beyond my non-artistic talents and still good.)
