101,888 EXP in a single kill -- Can you top it?

[ QUOTE ]
Can you top this single bonus in double exp weekend? I soloed Ghost Widow and nearly got 1.5 bubbles in a single kill.
Check out the combat log
[/ QUOTE ]
Well I looked at it closely and there's 2 kill messages with the one at the bottom slightly covered up. It looks like the second message is 41960 xp which looks like the actual kill xp and the one above may be mission complete xp... or maybe the other way around...
[/ QUOTE ]
Second is the mission complete bonus. As you can tell that one has EXP = Infamy (Which all mission bonus give exception of story arc which is 2X exp and 1X Infamy).

I was under the impression they were absolutely necessary for the LRSF.
[/ QUOTE ]
So was I, but I was informed that people have resorted to just loading up with Corruptors (particularly Rads). So, in essence, those temp powers aren't necessary unless you and your friends are more interested in picking ATs and Powersets for concept reasons, instead of whatever allows you to complete the endgame content without them.
I'm in that boat, and I'm out of slots, so I couldn't make a Rad Corruptor or Stone Brute if I wanted to, and honestly, I don't want one of either. I already have a Radiation Emission user hero-side, and I have no interest in playing a rock monster, let alone a character that can't step up a curb without risking stun-lock. We don't have any active characters of either type in our villain SG, because, just as Positron once suggested we should, the majority of us don't think of our characters as a set of numbers and stats. We pay attention to the numbers, and optimize the builds we have, but very few of us pick ATs or powersets for mechanical superiority.
So, personally, *I* feel they are required for it, because they would be for my SG. But from what I've been told, the people doing them now are loading up with buffs and debuffs (particularly Radiation), and probably a Stone Brute.

take it for what you will, but an all MM (that is their VG concept) VG beat it without shivans or nukes on Infinity. No doubt this will be ignored by a lot of people, but whatever, just spreading the word on their accomplishment to show something other than a corrupter+stone team or a nuke/shivan team can do it.

I'd really like to hear from a mixed team that beat it, instead of extremes like 8 MMs or 1 brute + 6 corruptors + <charity slot>. I'm not discounting their accomplishment, but I'd really, really like some evidence that my SG, who will have a mixed bag with no radiation and definitely at least one dominator (if not 2), might actually have a shot at it without having to deal with PvP.

Just to clear up:
No, we're not discussing any changes to Shivan's or the Warburg Nukes at this time. Shivan's are easier to get than anticipated, but even that is not likely to be changed in the near future. My original post was meant to show that we knew how these powers were being used -- and that is all.

Imagine the coolness of a Transformers MMO: Customizable body styles, colors, graphics, weapons.
I have this memory of the little "data cards" off of the 80's transformers boxes; they rated each transformer in terms of durability, fuel efficiency, firepower, etc. Hmm... You could do something like that during character creation. Each could be its own stat. As you gained experience, you could get improvements for the different stats, special weapons, and so on.
Man _Castle_, when's this thing coming out anyway?

The only change I'd like to see is a mandate preventing ANYONE who uses Shivan's or Nuke's from saying they "solo'ed an AV." It just ain't right!
well, if there is no anticipated change to shivans, or warburg nukes, is it safe to say that RV Heavies are not on the list as well?
Shivans, WB nukes and such are also created ALOT of havok in base Raids. Not only because of their dmg potential, but because of the already laggy envirnment.
I made our base very wide open, and almost barren. Its completely raidable, and its pretty close to a no lag environment, including when SGs bring in those pets. However, every smaller, confined base with lots of garbage, the lag makes me client crash
My real question for you castle, is balance has ALWAYS been a thing the CoH Devs addressed and adjusted. Hence ED, the Global Defense Nerf and every other little change in between. What makes this any different? How many times have AV's been changed because Regen scrappers, certain trollers, and Tankers have been able to kill select AVs. Even back then, when my scrapper was soloing AV's, they took a good 15 mins to kill.
In this thread the OP killed Ghost widow in 2-3???
Thats quite absurd. Let alone how it completely throws the balance in PvP.
Is the lack of attention to this because of money? man-power? decay of the game???
I think the reason why nukes can still be balanced is the time required to get them. For instance, my blaster can't go in there alone and get a nuke. My controller and scrapper can. It still takes upwards of an hour (Closer to 2 hours) to get all 3 on a character. So, if you think about how it makes it easy to solo an AV with these powers, remember that they have 2+ hours of work involved just to take out a single AV!

Two points:
1. Every all-MM RSF I have read about DID in fact have and use Nukes and Shivans in quantity; the Freedom one's screenshot is VERY cluttered, but you can half-see one of the boogery snots in it.
2. No "non-stacked" team has yet beat the RSF without Nukes and Shivans to my knowledge. Kitten, if you have a link or screenie?

I have extreme difficulty getting Shivans, and I've *never* been able to get a nuke. They seem pretty balanced to me. :/

Ok, first of all, neither of those comments make sense. For being someone that's good with numbers and thinking logically, your suggestion makes no sense Arcana. I don't know if you were trying to be funny or trying to sarcastically disagree with my idea, but if you were, you can just say so.
As for carebear? LoL, what? Yeah dude, because I'm totally trying to nerf something for PvP purposes. I have no idea where that comment came from. I'm guessing you got rolled in Siren's by a Mind Dom or something and decided to come QQ about it over here.
Seriously, would making it so that you could only use Shivans, Nukes and Mechs in the PvP zones ruin your PvE game? I hardly see anyone use them at all unless some ridiculous scenario plays out and there's too much aggro or too little firepower on a team. Castle just said they're not doing anything to them, so you can stop trying to come up with excuses against restricting them. I posted a suggestion here since Castle was hovering around this thread and I'm sure he, like many others, comes back around to see what his comments in a thread have gotten in terms of replies and feedback. I didn't want to suggest it in the Suggestion forum because it's pretty crowded over there and hard to get your idea out.
Anyways, I don't want them nerfed or changed or whatever, I like what they do. The Shivan power is kind of a joke to get, especially if you're a Stalker. The Warburg nuke isn't too terribly hard to get, but it does take a good amount of time. The Longbow Mech is definitely tough to get, but that's because there's a lack of actual activity going on in RV at all times that will net you 1000 pts.
It just pains me to see epic encounters or some difficulty in the game end up being reduced to "ok, screw it, go get Shivans and nukes" rather then trying to figure out a way to overcome it with some kind of strategy or skill or designing it so that you need to think of something alternate to do first.
The trap door set off in the Hess TF, pulling people to different areas of a map to hinder others from getting to that point so as to split a battle, using a temp power against the Clockwork King, those kinds of things are different and make the fights seem alive. When I first did the RSF on my Stalker (yeah, I got on a team) I was SO antsy and stoked when we got to the last mission. It was awesome to see all the heroes standing there and thinking about the battle to come. In the end, I couldn't see myself half the time because of all the damn Shivans everywhere and nukes crashing down. Statesman got to shoot off his Thunder attack ONCE and it was over in a matter of 10 minutes or so. It just felt so empty and boring.
"Well dude, wth do you expect? You'll die if you try anything else, you can't just rush at them, there is no other way. It's just dumb and suicidal."
Well DUDE, that's what I'm trying to say and get people to think about. There are some good ideas on how to mix combat up and I hope that they get put in so that strategies like the Shivan/Nuke get cast aside and aren't viable. I have a passion for this game and I love it when new and fresh ideas are put into it. I just don't want all that time and effort wasted and underappreciated.
