101,888 EXP in a single kill -- Can you top it?

I can easily beat that xp count. And I did it during the first double xp weekend, not the recent one. This here is my combat log from said event!

So, in a way, that one kill yielded me a total of 979,154 xp and 3700 prestige. Crazyness!

And this was done on a team of 8 mind you. No crazy soloing of an AV here...

So, Why did they change Trolls in the early D+D rules from 6+3 hit dice to 6+6?

I have no idea... why did they change the way trolls' regeneration works? It used to be that if you cut a troll up into 30 itty bitty pieces, they'd regrow into 30 full trolls. Ewwwwwwwww!

Edit: Almost forgot. Nukes seem about right too, for the level of difficulty in getting them. In my experience, I get killed at least twice when I try to get one.

[/ QUOTE ]

I'd agree with that, since I can't even launch the Warburg rocket once, let alone the 10 times it takes to get the badge... and all because of the gankers.

You do realize I've done this so far with Stone Armor/Super Strength (Tanker) and Fire/Fire Brute? Next is probably going to be a Corruptor. If they start nerfing, they may as well do another global nerf cause I can do this with any character.

Or they could buff AV's.

[/ QUOTE ]

Or we could reduce the effectiveness of a suite of Temp Powers. Shivans and the Nuke's are pretty dang good.

And before more people jump on Optimus, we've known those powers were over the top since they were created.

[/ QUOTE ]

yeah that would be a great call, nerf the only reason people go to BB and WB and make themselves targets and may discover a taste for pvp.

Shivans and nukes are not worth the time invested as they stand, they are not needed for anything, hell we dont use any on the RSF runs anymore as getting them is slower than just smacking up the heroes.

I was under the impression they were absolutely necessary for the LRSF.

Or maybe the fact that certain salvage/recipes will only drop in PVP zones.

Why not make PvP temp powers only usable in PvP? I had always originally thought that that's how it was going to be. When they talked about "launching a missle strike against your opponents" in the pre-release teasers about the upcoming PvP zones, I pictured it only happening in the PvP zones to make them lively. When I found out that you could do it, well, ANYWHERE, it struck me as odd, but I rolled with it. The same thing goes with the Shivans and whatnot. In the end, these two powers have been abused to all heck and back and made challenges like the RSF, taking on AVs and SF/TFs pretty boring and unchallenging. In fact, I'd go so far as to say that it may throw off proper testing and balancing because of the results that they can produce and add on to others.

In the end, just restrict all PvP gained powers to the PvP zones. It would make sense I feel and it would make people come up with other strategies and ideas for taking on challenges. Don't nerf the powers, I think they work fine for the work you put into getting them, i.e. 1000 pts. in RV, Escorting 3 scientists and running around to Meteor Shards.

Gee like certain badges are only in PvP zones. Certain missions are only in PvP zones. Here is a thought how about coming up with something original to call your own between you and the cartel clown.

How about this: once you zone into the PvP zones, you can't zone back out again. That would prevent powers, badges, influence, experience, inspirations, and salvage gained in those zones from ever leaving.

Which would mean the game would die in, oh, three months?

Which would mean all PvPers would die.

I'm not sure what the tally has been, but I got 109k XP for a single kill last night... without double XP. I was lvl 48 on a team of mostly 50s and the AVs were 53.

Yeah the temp powers may mess with datamining with things like the RSF, but come on, having to spend an hour or two getting these powers just to do a SF is annoying to most. Its cute to do it a few times, but afterwards just downright burns you out.

Well when I ran the LRSF a week or so ago we beat the final mission and although a teammate and I did use a Shivan we didn't need it...just did more damage for us/mission was over with faster. Now that the heroes are lvl 53 there isn't a huge need for Shivans as much...sure they're nice but not "needed".

Castle you do realize that, in posting this, you've fed into the paranoid "Oh noez don't share your accomplishment" frenzy.

Players of a certain bent are just going to edit out your 'We've known all along..." qualifier or, as is more common, say it is a lie, in order to convince us all that you simply troll the forums looking for tales of uber DPS so you know what to nerf.

It was a mistake posting that. Why it is you folks cannot simply start new threads and list "what you are looking at" with no relation to, for instance, tales of soloing AVs? Why not just start up a thread saying "We've know for some time that [temp power] and [temp power] were over the top... this will likely get changedc down the road."

It says all we need to know and doens't feed the children, saves us the trouble of having to slog through another 300 posts telling us how evil and nefarious you are.

Shared info should not come as a result of a player rant. It taints the motive for myopic players.

Also... I love cryptic, don't get me wrong, I love the game and eat the flaws... but I think it generally a mistake to acknowledge cryptic's "screw it make it live we'll fix it later" technique by just saying it outright.

I mean we do want to at least create an illusion that some amount of thought goes into these things *before* they go live. When you just shout out you knew from the beginning, then you pretty much confirm every single vile thing said about ED, Controller changes, the holiday temp powers...

... oh screw it I try so hard to sound like a civil customer but let's just drop the facade... that was a really silly thing to admit. I don't know how many hours we've all spent laboring under powers you *knew* were wrong when they went live, but I do have a nice sense of how much customer satisfaction has been lost by the herky jerky manner in which they are fixed *after* we've grown accustomed to them.

This post pretty much validates every single irate player, no matter the level of rant, who complained about the changes to EPPs for controllers, Xmas temp power, everything. I hate to see that happen.

Well I looked at it closely and there's 2 kill messages with the one at the bottom slightly covered up. It looks like the second message is 41960 xp which looks like the actual kill xp and the one above may be mission complete xp... or maybe the other way around...
