Sorry, wasn't trying to look. The announcment caught me off guard. There are people who will and do need it of course. So I am not looking at it in that sense... Am I? =O.o= Mew was just trying to comment on how they get handed out a bit, not that I am complaining! =^.^= I change my costumes two or three times a month! I have spent more time in Icon on some alts then in missions. =^o^=

The reason for the free tokens is that the new costume options sometimes break "old" costumes. So to fix them without INF costs, free tokens.

Still here, even after all this time!

I don't think I've paid for a costume change in a long time.

Which, actually, is a good thing IMHO. When the game was young, costumes were about the only other thing to spend influence on other than Enhancers. Now we've got that whole prestige thing sapping our influence and costume spending is getting real hard to justify.

Maybe look into making costume changes a lot cheaper some day real soon now?

Heck, I get 7 free costume changes for every new character I make now. Doesn't mean I'm going to say no to more, though. Especially since it looks like I'm going to have to do some involuntary head slider adjustments on all my characters using the Wedge hairstyle.

Not from this corner.

My 50 was made after the last free costume tokens were handed out, and those vet reward tokens are saving me like half a million a shot. Also, being able to pick and choose when you use them makes them utterly invaluable. A big thanks to the devs for how the tokens work!

Issue 8 sucked. This is not enough compensation. Even if this wasn't for I8, i still think this issue was lame.

This game had so much potential. SO MUCH!

Vet rewards satisified me, but only because i got a respec that ive been wanting since forever ago.

Why can't you hand out free respecs like you do costume tokens. WHY!?!

Just start making any new alt concepts you have in mind so that when they hit 20 they've got their costume tokens ready.

I've got several low level alts waiting for tokens to take advantage of that halloween costume slot.

Oh luminous one, yes Lighthouse that is you. Would this be a seperate costume token or would it be tied to a "Winter Holiday Event" where they offered costume items/tokens for characters logged in during the month of December?

Considering that on a few characters last night my scales settings were off on each costume, and numerous other things were altered, I'd say the costume tokens are warranted.

You seem like a man genuinely interested in your position as well as the game and community in general.

So please, don't give a lame excuse as being a newbie (which you aren't).
You have direct access to the Dev team, find out which is the case about the tokens. Don't give us 'it may or may not be' kind of answer on something simplistic as this please.
We , the game community, and you the manager of the community boards deserve to have complete and accurate answers.

Thanks Lighthouse, didn't mean to harp on you, but this seems too simplistic for us to be given an "I don't know" answer.

That's a bit harsh actually. Lighthouse was posting an honest answer in a timely fashion. I would say it is better to be given an honest answer, even if it doesn't give everything, than it is to not give an answer at all. Lighthouse may have needed time to get his question answered from a dev. Just being in his position does not mean instant access to any and all information.

And he was just making a lighthearted comment about him being a newbie. He said he wasn't sure. That doesn't mean he won't get an official clarification. Just that he didn't have one at that moment.

However, given that he is the manager over there, couldn't he, or shouldn't he have gotten the answer via email or however from Cryptic?

Timely.. well we have waited sometimes as few as minutes for answers, other times as long as weeks or months for answers. Even other times, no answers at all.

This just seemed like a no brainer to have that answer at his availability before he posted that one.

Now, if Lighthouse takes offense , then my bad and I would offer him an I'm sorry.

I do however think that when he is asked in his position to post an announcement that he should be able to find the answers to questions before he posts a second 'comment'.
I like his general posting on topics and such, but this one seemed to strike odd in me.

Chalk it up to being cranky or what have you.

If ole Lighthouse finds it snarky (not really my intention, but more of I would hope for better than I don't know in a direct reply to questions), then I hope he understands it comes from wanting the best from and for the game.

Seems to me that he didn't know off the top of his head and wanted to find out before spreading incorrect info, also he wanted us to know that he knew about the question. It sounded just like the corporate way of saying 'I don't know'. You never say 'I don't know', you say 'I'll look into that'.
