My 2 cents and then I'll leave it alone and this may have been said over and over again adinfinitum....

What kind of a REGEN power is something that gives you minus regen? Duh

I want the MoG that Paragon Protectors have. It works way better than mine.

Easy fix.... scrap the current MoG and make it a MOMENT of Glory. Make it a better version of dull pain. Bump max hit points 25% and then fill the green bar all the way up. That only takes a MOMENT. Regen time on the power could be long enough to make it balance.

If MoG is really just meant to be a last ditch panic button, they should make it a time-limited toggle so we can drop it after we survive that fight. Crashing is fine, but even you do use it as a panic, then live, you have to sit around for minutes to crash. Boring.

New animation idea for MoG.

Your scrapper drops to knees in in prayer like position, a coffin appears before him/her and you climb in... saving the mobs work.

Go to Hospital then pops up.

Heh, one of my favorite MOG moments was in WB. I'm Fire/Storm, and a BS/Regen tries attacking me.

First shot he surprised me, and attacked through Hurricane, Luckily he missed. Hold, Hold, Hold, he's held, pops a BF, then instead of turning back on Intergration, he pops MOG.

"Goodie." I think. And promptly drop Tornado. 1, 1, 1, 1, 1, 1, and so on.

I smile and say in local," You should run now."

He says back," I acually ment to hit IH, lol."

I think that I would be happy if they did this:

A. Slightly reduce the effectiveness of IH as it stands, but turn it back into a toggle.

B. Scrap MoG as it is and make it a 3 minute IH-like power with Issue 2 or earlier regeneration.

It should just be made so that it can be deactivated at the user's own will and take the crash away...it already did crash right when you activate the power.

And PLEASE don't make IH a toggle...it's useful as a click because it cannot be detoggled that way.

Common mistake. Don't want a buff. Want a power that can be used more often. Not the same thing.

There are plenty of MoG posts. I created this build so we can have the cogent arguments in one place. Let's not throw mud at each other.

I dealt with Soul Transfer in the very first post. We've went over the "we want a buff" BS. The fact is, Regen isn't this godmode set and it's not fair that MoG is the way that it is. Dark Armor is a stronger set than Regen by far. Soul Transfer could be changed, how I don't know. But that's irrelevant to MoG.

I would be happy if they slightly reduced the effectiveness of Elude but turned it back into a toggle also.

What if it were 30% defense but cost the same as the old IH? I think that would be interesting. I'm not even sure that would be overpowered.

It would actually be rather like I3 perma-elude, with all the constant END crashing and no extra recovery. Without careful endurance management, perma-elude was actually rather like that.

you took that as mud slinging? ok...

but having read most of this thread and many others like it, most of the arguments tend to be about inspiration use during perfect conditions and others argue back that MoG is a utility power to save your butt when you cant regen enough and heals are down, not a typical 38.

No need. That's power's suckiness is self-evident. And this is an important point to make about MoG. MoG certainly FEELS impressive. You get that nice full heal, capped defense, technically you get the resistance although it means jack poop. But over time many Regens have come to learn the truth.

MoG is a power so situational as to be useless.

So... just enough defense to keep you capped with your other toggles running, and just enough recovery to pay for the extra toggle itself?

With all the threads on the subject, I've been trying to come up with outside-the-box ideas.

How does this sound?

MoG: Click, 1800 second timer. Instantly recharges all powers except active toggles (and itself, obviously).

Let's just add fuel to the fire then!!!

Using the trusty truth of the Hero builder, I see that triple slotting dmg resist and triple slotting defense buffs increases over all defense such as this:

Defense of 125.9% to everything but Toxic and Psionic
Resistance of 62.9% to everything but Psionic.

Add in resilience and you get an extra 8.2% to Lethal, Smashing, and Toxic resistance. I really wonder what the dev's were thinking when they made this power. Here's my suggestion for MoG

Keep the recharge rate the same, add in psionic resistance and up the resistance amount from it's current 40% to 50%.
