People pissing and moaning about little things? No thanks.

Just to make a small point, this forum is for I10 discussion. If everyone was happy and had all the same point of views then it wouldn't be much of a discussion, just a whole lot of agreeing lol Although I'll admit I wish some people were more mature when they do disagree with what seems to be the populas. -

But for 9 issues, they've been relegated to "just another villain group", less important than the Hellions (who get to destroy buildings through arson), Devouring Earth (with a task force and Hamidon), the Council (two task forces and an Island all their own), and definitely not Arachnos. Villainside, they've got almost no appearance at all.

Dang it, I forgot to mention something lol. I do not think Rikti are less important than Hellions or any of those listed because of the fact that they were a huge event with a whole lotta story when they were introduced. You mention that Council ahve their own island...so do Rikti, it's the Monkey Island in Peregrine. Rikti also have the sewer trial. Rikti can be hunted in Crey's, Founders, Peregrine and the Abandoned Sewer Network. I definately disagree that they have been reduced below Hellions lol -

The original Rikti invasion is the defining event in the history leading up to the game. It's the reason Boomtown and Crey's Folly are the state they're in, they wiped out most of the heroes of the day, it's the reason for the War Walls. But for 9 issues, they've been relegated to "just another villain group", less important than the Hellions (who get to destroy buildings through arson), Devouring Earth (with a task force and Hamidon), the Council (two task forces and an Island all their own), and definitely not Arachnos. Thank you soooo much for replying to my post, I was beginning to feel like I would never be heard lol. I don't feel that they are just another Villian group mainly because they have an entire zone almost to themselves aka The Crash Site. This issue 10 just seems like a sequel, I have issues with sequels but I won't get into Pirates of the Carribean now lol I am slightly confused about the list of other baddies and the info in the paranthesis. I was hoping you would explain what you were trying to emphasize there. I haven't slept in like 24 hours :P However I will say that I have decided to wait until I10 is released before saying anything else negative. I realized that I wouldn't want someone to critique my art before seeing it for themselves so it would be unjust for me to do it to Cryptic. I hope I10 rocks and I hope that my initial dissapointment in the announcement will be smitted by awesome Rikti battles -
Where did you see the boots?? OMG! What do they look like? Me so excited about the new costume pieces
-
Ah wait I saw someone else say is was kinda rendundant so yay! Me so happy!
-
So based on a lack of reply to my previous post I guess no one else finds that the I10 Rikti Invasion to be uncreative and redundant material because there already was an invasion. Rikti are currently in like 5 zones and 2 trials, uh was this really the baddie group that needed to make a come back? Seems like there are plenty already. Filthy alien scum.
And to reinstate that the co-op aspect is awesome and I'm looking foward to the zone specific costume recipes -
Well you could focus on one lowbie and vow to touch not your other lowbie's until you have gotten your choosen one to level 50. Twill be a grand crusade!!! Try it and you might not miss out on anything

Um...ok...so...yeah I feel like i'm drifting alone in the pool of slight dissapointment in regards to I10. There are Rikti EVERYWHERE for 30+ already...Crey, Founders, Peregrine, Abandoned Sewer Network and of course the Crash Site and lets not forget the Respec Trial where you fight...you guessed it, RIKTI!!! They already invaded and failed...kinda...cause they're still around like cockroaches with lame salvage drops. I guess I was just hoping for something fresh and lemon scented instead of regurgitated (is that spelled right? lol) material. Now with every bad there is some happy goodness such as the zone being co-op, cause that is freakin' sweet and of course new costume recipes only to be found in the War Zone, very nice *applause*. Now if you took those happy good points and dropped them into a fresh situation it would rock hard-core. Now I know that this post will change nothing, I10 isn't going to be scrapped and redone because of this post and that's fine. I just wanted to share my thoughts
But I dream that one day there will be zone, dark and creepy where the Freaks and the Carnies have joined forces in their love for tent like structures and awesome appearances and a freak/carnie TF that takes place in a carnie decked out Theatre where you have to battle fresh to AV's. That is my dream and in my head it is lovely.

Nothing.

Let's just add fuel to the fire then!!!
Using the trusty truth of the Hero builder, I see that triple slotting dmg resist and triple slotting defense buffs increases over all defense such as this:
Defense of 125.9% to everything but Toxic and Psionic
Resistance of 62.9% to everything but Psionic.
Add in resilience and you get an extra 8.2% to Lethal, Smashing, and Toxic resistance. I really wonder what the dev's were thinking when they made this power. Here's my suggestion for MoG
Keep the recharge rate the same, add in psionic resistance and up the resistance amount from it's current 40% to 50%. -

Sorry but anyone looking for customization or even an I9...
Marvel MMO+Microsoft Vista Endorsement=No new issue that has any real worth in new content. They just don't have the time and the money Microsoft is paying them is just too good.

As I also said above, CoH/V has been promised three issues across 2007 - a promise made by both Positron and Statesman. Now, I don't use the word "promise" lightly, but if Cryptic doesn't think they can get three issues out in 2007, they should flap their lips and say so. Better to say two and deliver three than the other way around. They said three, so I'll expect three, pending any major problems that may occur. Again, if there are problems (and there may be) Cryptic will be better off telling the community sooner rather than later about them and revising that number down to two (or one, if worst comes to worst).

And here's the link to the entire article.
And something else interesting happening on Cryptics Job Page
With Vista already out and Cryptic recruiting an entire team of programmers and artists and even another web developer, do you think they would even think about making a promise like that if they couldn't deliver. I think they have every intention of delivering on that promise. -

The 92** series is no longer supported by ATI and hasn't been since (I believe) the Catalyst 6.5s.
You can probably still play, but it's time to upgrade.

While this is probably true that ATI doesn't "fully" support these video cards or earlier, I just recently updated to the CCC 7.1 on my gf's computer, reset her settings using this guide and her graphics look wonderful. BTW she's running my old ATI AIW 8500dvi.
Also 'I'm' the one having problems. I'm running an ATI Radeon x1300agp pro 256 and am having problems with freezes and lock ups. If anyone else has experienced this and have fixed it plz let me know. Here's what my computer runs.
400w antec psu
VIA K8t800pro mobo w/ HT tech
Athlon 64 3800+ (not oc'd)
512 mb DDR2/800 Dual channel
250 Hitachi HD (great deal couldn't pass it up throw the rocks later)
On board Gigabyte 10/100/1000
On board 6 chan audio
32x/16x/72x DVD RW +/- combo
Currently I have a fan blowing directly into the case but the case originally came with a single side panel led fan. -
Honestly I can't wait to see how the Marvel game will turn out. I just want to know how to find out about the beta testing so I can see it before it goes live.
