Any one else run into a Zues Class Titan in their Black Scorpion Patron arc. I did in the next to last mission. I ran around the corner and saw this Robo Cop Assault Bot looking thing that was conning purple to me (I was 40). It proceded to take out my Assault bot in one shot. I proceded to run around firing Web and Photon Grenades while throwing out Acid Mortars and Caltrops. Finally managed to get it after about 5 or 6 minutes of fighting. I was running at teh 3rd level of threat difficulty.

I actually didn’t care about the XP for the arc so I just set my difficulty lvl to villainous and was pretty happy I did seeing how I had to face a few EBs and malta sappers.


Web envelope –jump just like any webnade.

I have Web Grenade with my Ice/Kin and I can tell you that PvE it’s ok but I’m only 41 right now. The power states that it’s AoE Immoblize with –Jump, -Fly and –Recharge. So PvP (in theory, more testing needed) you could keep your foe on the ground and use siphon speed to slow then with the added bonus of stacking –recharge on them.

I only found the grenade useful on the EB’s I have fought for the – recharge. I guess you could help out a FA brute with burn but they have access to a AoE immozlize at that point as well.

I hit 41 last night on my brute and grabbed web enzelopment and hit RV. It halts jump and fly perfectly and hit quite often with only one acc in it. Also with hasten, the power was back up almost before the effect wore off on my target. I had fun webbin people then that were chasin me then jumpin up on a roof...lol

I did that mission twice and the same disappearing trick happened both times. Guess it's intermittent.

I succeeded (because a GM cleared the mission) and I got a souvenir. I guess the failed mission case is bugged.

I did the first arc with my Dominator, failed no missions, got no souvenir and was told to come back at lvl 45. I still think this is a random bug and we're supposed to get the second arc at 45.

Loving how good this sounds, both offensively and defensively (ie gain the higher ground and recover a bit).

I think this is a likely scenario. Imagine going up against a /rad who hits you with -fly, -jump, and lr. Now you cant move anywhere...and you arent dropping the toggles. Or imagine against a /cold who can slow you ten ways to monday.

Im almost hesitant to get it because I know almost every PvPer will, and the nerf calls will be overwhelming. And when nerf calls are overwhelming, it happens.

I got my own prediction: With all the PvPers taking Mace Mastery to destroy fly, jump and speed, expect the heroes to make a big push on teleport. There isnt a -teleport, right?

Black Scorpion is definitely the best for PvP, as half the battle (as far as team play is concerned) is just locking down your target.. I'm sure the aoe will have its -jump removed at some point, so don't count on it.

If they remove the -jump they may as well remove the PPPs

I mean some heroes have access to it as well... but why won't they pick it ? FA anyone ? We do not really have the choice therefore all my villains will pick BS.

Very good point about the heroes having access to -jump also. All I know is, if they change this crap after it hits live, I am gonna be fuming heh. It's one thing to change a power that can be respecced out of. But something you are stuck with will hurt.

Btw, anyone happen to find the numbers on the shield yet?

Oh the dreams I have of sneaking up on a huddle of heroes engaged with another group. Dropping the web, snow storm, aim, sleet, heat loss and blizzard. Oh my, I am giddy with joy...

I really hope the devs know what they are doing with the PPP's. I think it works like this heroes get FA we get -jump -fly powers so they can see us and hit us at range but melee isn't going anywhere.
I hope that teleport gets a big push, frankly i think the super speed + super jump is overused.

I hope to ruin a lot of the hero fun in RV by spamming web grenade and siphon speed on everyone I see then leaving them there to be AS'd or just stomped by npc's passing by I doubt I'll be killing anyone with my fire/kin with all the 9th tier powers running but I'll try my hardest to make their PvP experience as painful as mine. I know, I'm a sad and pitiful man.

It is going to be a glorious time to be a corruptor. I will smile when I see pages upon pages of nerf calls in the forums. Heroes crying out "They took errr jobs".

Seriously though, it will be tough to build two anti AT templates on one toon. With all the anit stalker powers on builds most won't have room to fit in some counter measures to what corruptors are going to be doing to them.

The other villain AT's will get good use out of the -travel of BS, but the corruptor is the one to watch out for. If you get nailed by siphon speed, LR, or almost any /cold power etc. it will seriously put a damper on your movement.

I was hit by a kheld's -jump and a troller's snowstorm the other day. I moved so slowly that I had to keep glancing to my status bar to see if I was held. That was with superspeed going too.

Pretty crazy stuff, I hope they don't nerf the powers too much when the whining starts. -Travel suppression would be a bit easier to swallow because that would effect all AT's globally, rather than just attacking one PPP.

Given that this is the "Mace Mastery" set, I realize this is a stupid question, but is there a mace animation for the armour? I can't stand the thought of an Arachnos mace on my character, none of the other armours fit my character concept, and the general idea of the Patron Powers is extremely...disappointing. However, in the hopes of making *something* out of them, I was considering taking the armour if it had no mace animation to go with it...and completely ignoring the rest of the set.

Basically, you just do that stretching flex like you're starting up Temporary Invulnerability, then energy and Black Scorpion's insignia flash around you. There's no mace.

Weapons mastery in the APP has Caltrops which has -Jump but since everyone takes Body mastery instead.........won't be nerfed since Heroes have access to a -Jump power as well.

And yea, if you want to cover all your bases on travel power suppression, you'd take teleport as well. My Stalker has Leaping Pool and Teleport Pool powers.

One downside of this set for corr's...I noticed that the shield is defense (useless in RV) instead of resistance.

Quite true, though it may make those of us that are acc debuffers feel like we did a month or so ago before tohitdebuff got nerfed.

However, considering the amount of non smash/lethal ranged attacks it will probably be useless in most non scrapper/tank fights as well as against FA users.

So basically, ya it will proly be junk in pvp, but you can't have your cake AND eat it too I suppose.

Yeah the sheild is defense based, not resist. so i am torn between scorp or Mu. depends on how good the web really is.

As ludicrous as it sounds, I wish Dominators got a Web immob power from BS. In PVP, Web is better control than my entire Ice Control primary, thanks to -jump.
