Your screenshots should be in the screenshot folder under CohTest. It's a separate program file from your regular CoH game.

I reached 41 on my Master Mind and tested both Bile Spray and School of Sharks. I went into Mako's Master Mind PPP with an open mind but was very disenchanted after testing.
Bile Spray
I have to say I found this attack pretty sad and redundant. It is a cone attack that does Toxic damage up front and a few DoT ticks. It has no useful side effects like debuffs.
I thought the idea of APPs and PPPs was to give the archetype things it didn't already have? Every Master Mind primary set has an area effect damage attack. Mine is M30 Grenade, which is frankly better in all ways except damage type (better range, radius instead of cone, knockback side effect).
Most MMs never take their personal attacks anyway, relying instead on pet damage. Giving us not just another personal attack, but one so redundant with existing attacks in the primary set, makes no sense to me and was bad design. It's like giving Scrappers another low damage melee attack, or giving Controllers an Immobilize. Heck, even those would probably be more useful.
School of Sharks
Most of my above comments about Bile Spray also apply to School of Sharks. Both are cone attacks that deal damage, with some minor variations. The fact that they are so similar is also bad design... two cone attacks are not expanding my MM into new gameplay options like giving blasts and holds to ATs that don't normally get them.
That said, School of Sharks is still vastly superior to Bile Spray because it at least Immobilizes. The animation is cool for what it is (a bunch of glowy blue sharks). The recharge isn't bad. The duration, range, and damage are nothing to write home about. The fact that the target must be on the ground kind of hurts... spirit sharks can't 'swim' to a jumping or flying target? Guh?
Overall School of Sharks is a fun power to play with, but wholly unimpressive. Master Minds get Immobilize powers already (Web Grenade, Entangling Arrow) as do some henchmen (Spec Ops, Lich). This is, again, redundant with what we already have. Even though my FF MM can't normally Immobilize on demand, I will not be taking this power at any point because it's simply wishy washy and doesn't make me at all stronger in PVE or PVP.
Thoughts
Okay, so the art team has already put time into making these new powers and we are stuck with them. They overlap the existing sets of the AT so much and are so not what the average player would want, they will need a major power upgrade to be worthwhile. Unless I can look at Bile Spray and say "wow, that damage is awesome!" or School and say "wow, that's one nice immobilize!", they're completely skippable and all that programming time was a waste. Possible fixes: Reduce Bile Spray's damage and make it more of a debuff power (-res). Give School of Sharks -jump -fly.

Well, that pisses me off, my tank is always in flight in RV and Mako's School always hits me.....
WRT: Broken Mission (the black fall of near death)...
If this is still broke then do this: As others have said, go into it with fly or hover on. If you have TP or Team TP, you can find a way into the mission by poking your head into the mission and getting the camera into the mission. If you find the right place, you can get a reticle inside the mission and TP in. If you go to the end room of the caverns, and stick your head up from one of the rocks (they're hollow!), that's where I got in. Rocks are always weak points in the mission skin (which is why so often players, pets, and NPCs get stuck in them).
WRT: Leviathan Mission....
Someone posted above that the tooth was discolored. Um, no. You were given a crystal so you can 'see' the 'essence' of the Leviathan in the tooth. That's the tooth you have to click. It isn't clear that you have to 'click' the tooth to extract the essence. Even when I did click it, I didn't click it in the right place. It was only when I was flying past it and trying to click it again that it worked.
Taking out the Elite Boss fonts was no problem for my Necro/Dark MM, until the final room. The pets were not only being knocked around by the vortices, but they were attacking the vortices. Had to get a Brute to help me. Patch notes state that minions won't attack the vortices anymore. We need someone to test that out to make sure.
WRT: School of Sharks...
Not immobilizing!! Unless all bosses have resistance to immob, I'm seeing lots of NPCs running around trailing their encircling sharks with them. Some that get knocked around leave their sharks behind. Now, when I had acrobatics, I would sometimes be able to run around with immob animations following me (they should disappear), but I've never seen any NPC run around with Tentacles still on them; and when they were knocked around, the Tentacles went with them.
And this thing with "having to be near the ground" is total BS. When NPCs are being hit with School of Sharks and they fall or jump off a ledge, the animation has no problems following them mid air. If they're flying near the ground and are in the SoS and they get knocked off a ledge, the SoS encircles them while they're suspened in mid air. There is certainly no animation or 'looks' reason for this to be a grounded power. These are spirit sharks, not real sharks, there is not in-game RPG reason for it to be a ground based power. It's not like it's just the top fin and it looks bad if it's not on the ground. It looks great on the ground or in the air.

I dont know why, but most dominator AOE soft controls (flashfire, flash freeze, others) are all limited to ground only. To me, its one more crappy limitation to a power that has been hosed on duration already (when only trollers had it).
On a side note - my dominator soloed the ballista!! bruahahahahha!! Sorry, gloating moment over (this is simply a knee jerk reaction to doms suck posts, please ignore).

I posted something about that. Unfortunately I was running on low graphics mode that time so I couldn't tell. Some glitches that happend in the game turns out the same color as the low-graphics version of the 'colorful' tooth. In higher resolution, it's eminating with power of different colors, in low resolution, it looks glitched.
Anyway, has anyone gotten Spirit Shark Jaws? I want to see what it looks like - if it's really Jaws or if the shark resizes to your opponent.

I dont know if this is the norm but I thought that this was fixed. Tried to do the patron first mission and I cant complete it cause its spawning an elite boss at the end on villainous.
I thought that you couldnt spawn elite bosses on villainous if your solo but there he is. And in addition to his appeareance why does he have detention bubble. Anytime I do any damage to him he cast it and just waits for his life to recharge to full. This is extremely broken. Given the fact that he is also doing over 400 pts of damage with each attack. I can only stand face to face with him for seconds anyway.
Also in the mission Im being consistantly immobilized with my shields on as a brute, by spec ops. They also proceed to take 45-50% of my end with one of there attacks. After Im immobilized Im sucked dry with two attacks.
Im upset at this cause Im just playing to explore the sets on the test server, and Im encountering this. No elite boss or higher lvl enemies should spawn if Im soloing on villainous. It would be different if I were on relentless or such but Im not and this is something that should be address.
Patron power pool are things that are unique to your character. And since every character picks different patron the arc should be something that can be solo'd by a toon on the proper difficulty.

yep this is where you find a Master Mind to help you.
He is actually a really badly programed non-player.
On my master mind he did the detention field then proceeded to try and shoot me over and over.
Go figure he didnt effect me.....
So anywise I do find it lame he had that much energy to burn....kind of not fair....in my opinion he should have eaten up his energy.....
Anywise for me, my ninjas murdered him while he only attacked me....go figure...
So like i said get a master mind who can sit there inthe detention field for you while you pummel him.
Or get another brute to do it...so you can both switch off.
Detention field as you noticed is very annoying and it works as its intended to.
Even though its a bit unfair that the bad guy never once used much energy.....
in my opinion the non-player should have run out of energy for you....(The developers kind of dropped the ball on this one i think)
he should have put up the detention field on you...wasted his energy....then you should have been able to properly beat the stuffing out of him for annoying you.
In that way it follows the a-typical villain tough guy thing...where you punish the small gnat for shooting you alot and ruining your favorite shirt.
Thank you all for doing such a fine job at testing the Mako PPs, I changed my mind from Ghost Widow and am enjoying the Shark Attacks...
After reading the entire thread I didn't see anyone post that Sprit Shark will knock down low flying mobs. I've found it pretty nice to fire the SS up to them and knock them to the ground.
As anyone noticed any changes to the test version and Live version of powers?

i didnt get the power but i can describe it from seeing it. a semi-transparent shark comes up from the ground and starts biting at the opponets legs/torso. they have to be near the ground for it to affect( just like plants hold, which is lame...).
Any chance you could post a picture of Spirit Shark Jaws please? People on here (including me) have been anxious to see what it looks like for ages
As a dominator, i so far have Water Sprout and Bile Spray.
I like the PPP so far, but i have one comment:
The endurance cost is really really deep. Specially since other Patron choices for dominators offer some +endurance powers/drains. Choosing Leviathan is forsakening an endurance source, making it cost so much is even worst.
Only reason i can still enjoy it is that i'm /fire, so i have consume.
So, ya, please reduce the cost on Sprout and Bile Spray. Specially since the spray does silly damage compared to my firebreathing, having the high end cost is ridiculous.
Does waterspout have any secondary effects aside from knockback that would make it useful against the many many people who get knockback protection?
It also ticks a DoT, Disorients, and Debuffs Defense.
Congratulations, you guys have me sold finally. Mako it is!
That video of the water spout was just to cool.
And as much as I'm hearing how useless the snipes are,
water spout is just too cool to pass up.
Any stalkers have the pet yet?

FYI, all you "chum" fans, you need to know what that word means. "Chum" is the bait used to lure sharks, composed of ground bits of meat (usually fish) and blood. Water is "chummed" by scattering this mixture into the water, and the scent of it then attracts sharks.
I'm guessing the reason it was changed to "Bile" spray was for more correct representation.
[/ QUOTE ]
We know what chum is. You know what bile is? It's a fat emulsifier. It helps lipids dissolve in water in the intestines. It's not any more accurate... and about 300 times less cool.
Viva la Chum Spray!
[/ QUOTE ]
Oh god! My fatty acids are now water soluble! WHatever will I do! Bile 4TL! Chum 4TW! Devs, listen to our plead BRING BACK CHUM SPRAY! otherwise I am replacing the power button with a macro that says "chum" on it. Besides, the power looks like chum anyway, which it was obviously designed to be.
Anyone see the episode of dirty jobs (I am a nerd) where he has to make chum? He vomits. For a guy that was fine at a garbage sorting job, and only mildly sick (no vomit) at a place where they rot the meat and brains out of large animals in vats of water, thats impressive. This shows the TRUE power of chum, its use as a weapon!
Does anyone know what to do on Steal the essence of the Leviathan mission? i have beat the all 3 power source and calysti, but im stuck after that.
Sorry I didn't see this earlier and I really hope you aren't still stuck.... but in case you are:
There are (IIRC) [u]four[u] spirit fonts, not 3, plus Calystix to take out.
Once this is done, you will get a little waypoint marker that should lead you to the base of the Eye of the Leviathan. It's placement is just a bit off though- you will have to scope around a bit to get the little blue hand to come up but it should be right around the base of the Eye itself right around the big crack in the ground.
Hope this helps and gl!
Seems like the patch broke waterspout, it seems to be invisable now
sorry if this has already been mentioned ( i really didn't want to search through 30 pages)
why is leviathan mastery the only patron pool that doesn't allow dominators to get the armor until 44?
I gotta say The Devs did a good job with this pool. I like it alot.
That is all
The only way to deal with an unfree world is to become so absolutely free that your very existence is an act of rebellion."
@Mr. Magnifico
i just don't understand what sets this pool apart from the others, dominator wise, they should switch it with water spout, but then again i'm only one person >.>
well with my elude going he only ever landed d-field on me once, and i used the time to cast aid self a couple times and re-hide so i could get another Asstrike off when it wore off
kinda reminded me of the end of star wars 1 (phantom menace) with the laser walls between obi wan and the evil guy
his regen was pretty high, i had to use elude twice actually
