Patron Powers: Captain Mako - Leviathan Mastery
Ah - well I was hoping you weren't going to say that, as that means the predicted numbers are much further out
With 3 +3 Damage SO's, you get a 1.9775 overall enhancement, which gives us predicted damage of 27.24 + 5 ticks of 3.89 - which is considerably more than what you reported seeing. I'm guessing that perhaps one or both of your tests ended up having a small fury component which is skewing the numbers a bit - so the Damage Scale may well not be what I initially thought, either that or maybe one of the targets had toxic resistance.
Our best chance of getting an accurate number is if you can test against some much lower level mobs - all damage reported in the combat log is to 2 decimal places, so if you can test against lower level mobs to get higher reference damage (ideally 3 figures + 2 decimal places) then we end up with a more accurate starting figure for the rest of the calculations - Family in Port Oakes should be good targets as I'm sure they have no toxic resistance and they can be found close to the Cap au Diable Ferry.
It is also important that the Fury bar is definitely at zero to give us a nice clean reference damage - so a pre-emptive strike on extreme lowbies is ideal as they won't try to get a shot off at you first (it doesn't matter if they are defeated before all the DoT is delivered, or even if the initial hit takes them out completely - we know the relative strength of the ticks to the initial damage).
Sorry for being a pain - I just like finding out the clear cut numbers
roger that, i'll head to nerva and go pick on some family. They're around the docks all the time, they should be used to it
CHUM SPRAY(Bile Spray)
Test subject: Button Man Buckshot [Family Minion]; Level 25 (-23)
Fury: None
Enhancements: 1 accuracy 3 Power 2 recharge(level 50)
Initial damage: 129.29 (log) / 129 (on screen) Toxic Damage
DoT (per hit): 18.46 (log) / 18 (on screen) [5 DoT ticks total] Toxic Damage
Total damage (log): 129.29 + (18.46*5) = 52.04 Toxic Damage
Total damage (screen): 129 + (18*5) = 50 Toxic Damage
Air Superiority [2 accuracy 1 recharge(level 50)] - Died before use.
Brawl [1 accuracy(level 50)] - 50.76
Test subject: Underboss [Family Boss]; Level 25 (-23)
Fury: None
Enhancements: 1 accuracy 3 Power 2 recharge(level 50)
Initial damage: 129.29 (log) / 129 (on screen) Toxic Damage
DoT (per hit): 18.46 (log) / 18 (on screen) [5 DoT ticks total] Toxic Damage
Total damage (log): 129.29 + (18.46*5) = 52.04 Toxic Damage
Total damage (screen): 129 + (18*5) = 50 Toxic Damage
Air Superiority [2 accuracy 1 recharge(level 50)] - EXACTLY 141(suprised me)
Brawl [1 accuracy(level 50)] - 50.76
Ah thanks for checking that out
Throwing that into the number cruncher it now looks more like it's a Damage Scale value of 0.7 + 5 ticks of 0.1 (1.2 overall).
Comparing predicted values with actual values you've reported, we now see a pretty close match (bar the first unslotted one, which I think must've had some fury which threw things a bit)...

It's still slightly out though, so it could be that we are still slightly off for whatever reason (perhaps the modifiers we are using aren't quite as accurate as the ones the game actually uses, or it could be that there are some rounding errors on the game's side). Hopefully things should become clearer once we have some MM and Dom numbers to play with anyway.
Hit lvl 49 and grabbed school of sharks. Combos pretty well with Chum spray.
Pet's HP went up to 1070, yawn.
I think I've finally burned myself out... I figured the PPPs would be so cool but alas I was overcome by by the sheer newness of them. They all had that new power appeal to them that greatly overshadowed just how mediocre they were.
I've even given up on chum spray
Once I hit lvl 50 I'll determine which patron powers to keep and which to do without but for now, I sorta wish I didn't push myself to level this fast.
On the upside I still have faith in the devs, I know they'll do something about this.
its amazing they promised hard numbers and basically gave us nothing useful
oh well i hope you guys can get their wonky code figured out and make a useful planner good luck

Watching you level so fast was very exhausting for me.
Thanks though for providing us with great data and information!

If you fail = you get the Leviathan arc and fight Mako himself
If you don't fail = after McKnight, he tells you to come back at 45
[/ QUOTE ]
Hmm well that's weird - coz I didn't fail the first mission (Agent Greer), and I just completed the initial arc (where you get the badger and unlock the Patron Pool by defeating McKnight) and he has just given me a new mission in Sharkhead to investigate the Leviathan - which sounds like this second arc you are talking about.
The only thing perhaps that may be different is that I had almost made it to 41 before I began his arc (only recently discovered the workaround for crashing in Grandville so I'd been doing Nerva missions I had left over) so I actually dinged 41 before I unlocked his Patron Pool - maybe it is like those Kheldian arcs which were a bit bugged and didn't give you the missions at quite the right levels. Were those who didn't get his second arc still 40 at the time? Maybe see if he will give you that second arc afterall once you are 41?

How did you get around the Grandville crashes? I was at the Ace mission, and havent been able to log on since. It freezes loading Grandville. My tank can still get on test in RV and doesnt freeze. I've recopyed my dom over to test to try to be able to play, but havent tested it yet.
[ QUOTE ]
Aren't the Coral Gaurdians you summon bosses? if so, then that equates to the Red Coralax-Hybrid since the Reds are bosses as well, but IMO, the one reason why the Dominators don't get the Red one is because they already have pets, maybe?
[/ QUOTE ]
Nah, I think its because doms are so uber, with all the complaints about them doing soooo much damage and being sooo much better at PVP than other ATs, they are using this to balance the AT. It was balance the PPP or give them a nerf.

Well there was/is this 'Windows key' workaround which involves alternating pressing the Windows key and clicking in the CoV window while the mission is loading, but since yesterday's patch I don't crash zoning from Grandville anyway.

Is your character in the hospital by any chance? I gather the hospital in Grandville is hideously bugged and basically prevents you from logging back on with that character. Apparently logging on in safe mode sometimes lets you escape, and sending a petition from another character can allow the GM's to free the chracter too.
However - there are a number of threads dealing with this so I won't derail this any further
Back on topic ... have any Corruptors or Stalkers got to 44 yet and been able to try out Spirit Shark Jaws? It is the other Mako power that I'm *really* looking forward to seeing, but MM's need to get to at least 47 to get it.
I've been working with RedTomax to get the new power data listed on his site, and it's now up.
Click on these links to see info about each pet's individual powers.
Brute Pet
Stalker Pet
Dominator Pet
Corruptor Pet
Water Spout

All CoX Powers
New Patron Powers are listed in the Epic category.
Why do all the Patron pets (including the other Patrons) have Self-Destruct? That's odd. Or is that the "dismiss"/"release" command they're referring to?
And Water Spout has Invis? wow..
Self-Destruct is the power used to dismiss the pet after 4 minutes.

That might just refer to the fact that it isn't targetable.
Besides that though, great info as ever iakona - thanks for going to all the trouble of finding it and thanks to redtomax for hosting it all
One interesting thing I noted was how the Dominators' Blue Corolax seems to have a number of AoE attacks while the Corruptors' Red Corolax is exclusively single target - I guess that explains why they did it that way round.
Yep, I've totally done it now... I've killed my drive to level.
I can't bring myself to go from 49 to 50. Between the long animations(just about 3 secs on EACH power), weak damage, long recharge, and high endurance use I just don't see a reason to bother anymore.
I'm REALLY dissapointed but I'll still do more testing, at lvl 50 I'll devote my last 3 slots to School of sharks making the slotting 2acc 2 immob.
But I'm going to force myself to get this lvl by tomorrow to get more testing data, I'll post rough immob times on different level enemies, slotted and unslotted, when I get the chance.
Spirit Shark: Uses Combustion animation(3 secs)
School of Sharks: Uses Twilight Grasp/Electron Haze animation(2.37 secs)
Chum Spray: Uses Shout/Neurotoxic Breath Animation(2.67 secs)
Summon Guardian: Uses Animate Stone/Spectral Terror Summoning animation(3.2 secs)
Immob time for School of Sharks(1 lvl 50 acc) on +2 longbow(lvl 51) minions is around 14-15 seconds.
Well I finally dinged 50, got the super lvl up animation(fireworks RAWK MY FACE), and it said I unlocked an Epic Archtype.
Gotta check that out.
Also since IBM Ref already got SoS I won't bother slotting mine, i'll just throw those last 3 slots in some powers that need em.
EDIT: Eh it was nothing. I got all excited thinking I could make an Evil Kheld.

It's probably just there because of what it says on heroes, they may have just forgot to remove it for villians.
Odd that you would unlock an epic AT. The Kheldians are the only epic ATs at the moment and we were told that villians hitting 50 wouldn't unlock them (although I wouldn't mind it sence I see my MM hit 50 long before my blaster). Its possible they just copy and pasted the code for a hero hitting 50 for villians.
Oh yeah and gratz on 50 (have fun doing it again on live).
Well, were the PPs at all useful in helping you get from 41 to 50?

Any info on the pets, as in some being Lt and some being boss types? Is it simply the powers available, or is it different both in health, defense/resists, and powers?
It would really suck to have a sickly LT pet when someone else can slap out a boss on ya. Hope it just power selection.
It could be that any level 50 character unlocks a Kheldian, hero or villain. It's something that couldn't have been experimented with yet.
Gah this blooooows, I cant progress his story Arc, the mission after you beat Ace McKnight... when you have to interrogate CoT Leaders, the map is bugged, every time I go in its pitch black, but you can see the CoT where they should be, and you cant move a single step. You cant exit unless you log out and back in, ive tried this near 4 or 5 times, even today it still happens. >_<
Well you don't really have to continue the arc if you don't want to after you take down McKnight. I stopped after McKnight cuz I got what I wanted(access to the Patron power pool) and didn't bother with the rest of Mako's missions.
Ohh okay so as soon as you complete that 1st Arc, thats it, you have access?
ahh i knew i forgot something. When i tested chum spray at lvl 47 on those 50s and 49s I had lvl 50 enhancements in it.
Sorry about not being clear.
