  1. A fury? Why, yes! Yes, indeed! Claws, super strength, electric melee, whatever! The more enemies the moe rage! raaaaawr!

What, why? Furry? Oh yeah, that too.
  2. The things I will not miss are all technical limitations - so many loading screens being at the top of the list.
  3. WoW for me - it and CoH have always been my two main games. Both games suit me well and it was rare that I didn't have a subscription to them both.

Champions - I'm a lifetime there. Boy, was that a mistake. Now I have lots and lots of points, but I just can't seem to get into that game. Stll, I have a lot of analogs of my CoH toons, and ther's a certain nostalgia in that.

Secret World - love that game, but it's suited to me. Very evocative, solo-friendly, love the style of the game for me. But it's so oddball - not sure how long it will last.

GW2 - picked it up before the hammer fell on CoH. Oddly, haven't logged on since, but eh, it's on the computer. Guess I could say the same about GW1.

Looking at SW: TOR. played it on my old computer, and boy is it a talky game. A lot to be said about waving a lightsaber around, though. Hoping game play is better on the new computer.

Tried Rifts, and it's very nice, but it didn't hook me. Have a Star Trek account - I think I have a tribble. Don't think it's currently installed though.
  4. I'm thinking it's going to catch my characters as off-guard as it caught me - they will be doing what they normally do, and will be stunned as the world disappears from around them
  5. There have been a lot of things - being able to tailor a mish diff was huge, as was the team-levelling thing. But yeah, the big thing was the ability to change the colors of the powers - being able to set the powers to match the costume instead of the reverse was such a change.

    East Coast Quake

In Wake Forest, NC - it was noticeable, but nothing big. It lasted long enough for me to wonder why the wind had picked up so dramatically, and then to realize it wasn't the wind. Just when I was thinking, hey, earthquake, it ended.

And the dogs didn't freak or anything. I kinda wished they had.

I hear Susan Sarandon and Barry Bostwick say the exact same thing about RHPS.
  8. SVP own both Viking and Pfaff, but the Pfaff machines come with a IDT dual-feed system (really, really helpful), and go to a bigger stitch (9mm vs 7mm). The S in SVP stands for Singer - they also have embroidery machines, but they have smaller hoop areas, and you end up having to connect your computer to the machine to do the embroidery; with the Viking and Pfaff machines, you can bring over the designs on a flash drive or port them over a USB cable, but you don't have to keep the computer attached to do the embroidery.

From Pfaff, you can go with the Creative Vision Line - you can also pick up the 5D Suite to digitize your own designs. The IDT really does make it worth it. On the Viking side, take a look at the Diamond line - the software there is the 5D Suite Pro (it's the same program, just packaged differently for the two lines)

If possible, find a dealer that will let you trade up, so the machine's abilities can keep up with your SO's skills as they grow. Talk to your dealer, get demos on the machines you're interested in, and make sure the dealer will support you (Service, owner's classes, etc.)

Bernina also has embroidery machines, but I'm not very familiar with them.

In the interest of full disclosure, my partner and I run a sewing machine sales & service and are Pfaff dealers.
  9. Also, the event is very streaky - I tend to get 2-3 costumes in a row, 3-4 tricks in a row (I think my max was 5 consecutive tricks), etc.
  10. I like it especially for my lowbies (pre-travel especially) - the mobs are manageable and have a bit of variety, I don't have to travel across a zone, and I get nice rewards - those inspirations are verra verra nice for the pre-14 crowd.

I also like to wear costumes of low-level mobs on high level characters - it amuses me to see a PPD cop break out a tier 9 power
  11. I like WoW's PVP - well, the battlegrounds anyway. I don't play on the pvp servers, but I like the BGs - gear matching, short term, defined objectives, somewhat defined teams.

Here, the arena should be similar, but it isn't

No real reply - I'm just entranced by your avatar.

The entire PhysX concept needs to take a long walk off a short pier.

Sorry, but the blasted thing actually lowers FPS counts. I don't need extra particle effects if they're gonna do that.

I'm inclined to agree, at least until I get a blazing-fast new computer with lots of bells and whistles, at which point I will reverse my position

Seriously, though, yeah - adding features to a game that I have to disable to actually play the game does me no good.
  14. Nooooooooooooo! I just chose him as a patron!
  15. Shoot, and I thought my comment was almost insightful. I'll never get my post count up at this rate.
  16. I had no problem with my account - but my partner's? Both accounts charge to a single card. First, I couldn't update his account because of the 1/day limit on ip's. Then, the 1/month per card. Then, my next in line card was a Mastercard. Finally extracted a Visa from his wallet (which pretty much spoiled the surprise factor), got his account updated ... and he can't log in until tomoorow - work issues. Sigh.
  17. Hmm, it's finally appeared on the walmart site - good, I was feeling a bit worried

Just so you guys know there are players out there that have extremely gimped builds, that would not survive the respec trial. Believe me on this I seen it first hand. Once I realized their builds I had to quit because there is no way we would survive that.

    [/ QUOTE ]

I had by my standards today an extremely gimp build in i2 when the trial was introduced and managed to complete the trial. The trial aint that hard.

    [/ QUOTE ]

The hero side respec trial is much easier than the villain side trial. I don't hesitate to send my heroes to save the reactor - with friends, PUGs, whatever. My poor villains have to wait for a freespec, because I wouldn't want to go against the tree with a PUG.

I've even given up on chum spray

Say it isn't so! Chum Spray needs you!
  20. I did 2 mayhem missions with my 40 brute - it was fun, some no-name hero shows up in the bank and I kick them around a bit. Third mayhem - wander around, blow things up, light some fires, mosey into the bank. Get the loot and wait for the hero. Numina? Uh-oh. Well, I took her out before, and she's still an EB, how bad can it be?

Later, in the jail, I had time to reflect on what exactly went wrong. Really, I think I could have taken her - just her. It was her and the psi cops that did me in - the stacking -recharge really took their toll.

But overall, I didn't think it was too bad - for a brute. I have a feeling my courrupters are going to have to make sure they rack up a bunch of bonus time to make sure they can get out of jail once (or twice ...) to finish off the EBs. Haven't tried my MMs or dominators - I think this might push my dom's to not being solo characters.
  21. [ QUOTE ]
I will agree that the recharge on the pets seems a bit harsh, I can understand not wanting brutes to have permanent pets, but 50% of the time should be acceptable I think?

    [/ QUOTE ]

I have a feeling the devs are assuming the power will be triple-slotted with rechargers, and that does come close to having a pet out 50% of the time.

I go back and forth on this - I don't see a good reason for the pets to only be up half the time (under the best circumstances). On the other hand, if they're anything like the aggro-monkeys I'm picking up in the missions, it's not like they're going to live out their full lifespan anyway.
  22. How do you unlock Ghost Widow's pool? Do you just need to finish the first arc and get the badge? Or do you have to finish all her arcs?

And, unfortunately, Chum Spray has been renamed to Bile Spray. Our powers guys’ felt that Chum was just too campy.

    [/ QUOTE ]

    Too campy? TOO CAMPY?

There's no such THING as too campy! Especially in a game with this many people wearing all those tights.

I'm rather amused that I found the rest of this post so open, so ... reasonable. But I'm having touble with this one little bit.

Too campy? Where are my pearls? I feel a need to clutch them.

Changed To Hit Debuffs to use the 5/10/20 Enhancement progression.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Does that mean the NPC now have the new to hit system ( to hit check before level check ? )

    [/ QUOTE ]
No, it means that characters that use those enhances are gimped until I7.

    I'm not bitter, I swear.

    [/ QUOTE ]

ugh. I don't really mind the change; I figure it'll all even out once the defense scaling comes in ... but that's certainly going to make the wait for the whole shebang irritating - and I7 isn't even on test yet!
  25. I think making the patron choice permanent is a bad idea. Even if we take a character to test, try things out, and make a somewhat-informed decision, there's no guarantee that the devs won't change/re-balance the powers at later date. If I choose a patron for specific power-related reasons, and those powers later get nerfed, I'll feel that I wasted my choice. Not much I can do about it at that point, except spew bitter rants on the forums, but still.
