Thanks Cuppa. I have like 5 alts that have been waiting for their capes. Every time I tried to add a cape it changed my sleeves and would not allow me to fix them without charge. Glad to seee this one!

WRT Costume Tokens: The purpose of the costume tokens, as I understand it, is to allow us to take the costume options of the opposing faction (heroes with villainous costume pieces and vice versa) which will be unlocked in I7 (for those who own both factional cities) if we wish. However, I7 isn't out yet. The patch notes don't mention the new costume options. So why are we getting the costume token now? Won't this tick off people who go to the tailor for some minor reason and wind up using up the token, and then, when I7 comes out, they're out of luck for the big costume change?

The costume tokens don't have as much to do with I7 as they do with people in CoH taking advantage of the /cov exploit and creating black-market villain costumes on their heroes. The /cov glitch has been patched. The costume token is just cleanup in the aftermath.

Can someone rationalize the 'chat spam ban' stuff for me? I mean I'm just not getting the reason for wasting resources and programming time on something /ignore can fix instantaneously.
Or, are they suggesting that the problem is so prevalent that ignore lists cannot handle it?
Because I rarely see any kind of spamming on Virtue other than combat spam. Sure, now and then some idiot will try to take over broadcast or local in AP or some such, but I find the solution is just to /ignore and continue on my way.
Later, I clear the list if I need to.
So, why all the drama on chatspam all of a sudden?

Saw Deathstyle in Siren's last night.. seen him in there before as Knightsblade too so he definatley PVP's.
Not sure if he was gloating or not as he himself has a stalker.

Hi there and thank you. I play every type of AT before i fly off the handle about what any of them can do and i also never fall into the FotM powers because i know what is going to happen to them sooner or later. I am not gloating but it does amuse me that people continue to find abuses inside of this game and then cry bloody murder when its removed. (like the devs wouldnt notice a rise in a certain type of build being created....like hmmmm EM for example) I cheer for the people who continually make concept builds and succeed with them. I also agree when the devs continually fix exploits and even out the game so EVERYONE can enjoy it at the same level. In my opinion the word nerf is only used by the selfish and those who are truely about the game call them upgrades.

Can't find the exact post, but I'm pretty sure one of the devs followed up saying that, if they can figure out how to flag Kora Fruit to not be allowed in the storage containers, that they would likely restore the fruit to it's tier 3 status.

The costume tokens have nothing to do with Issue 7. There's a thread by Cuppa in the Training Room forum (forgive me for not linking, but I just woke up) that basically explains that the /cov command may have broken some people's costumes, and if it didn't, the change that locked out the /cov command might have. She didn't say, but judging by these patch notes there were also still people with the Sleeveless Jackets option who were being screwed during costume changes. (I thought they'd already fixed that bug? It hadn't happened to me in weeks, at least?)
And as always in the past, when they fix a bug that might have screwed up some number of people's costumes, they hand out free costume tokens so those people can fix their costumes. I assume that everybody gets them, not just the people with broken costumes, because doing it that way would put too much workload on the support GMs.
They haven't said that we'll get more free costume tokens when issue 7 comes out. But they haven't said that we won't, either. Since issue 7 hasn't even made it to the test server yet, it'll probably be at least half as long from now until issue 7 goes live as it was from when they gave out the free Christmas costume tokens to when they gave out the free Valentine's Day costume tokens, so I figure the odds are better than 50/50 there'll be more free costume tokens then, too. I'm not counting on it, but that's my guess.

Someone in another thread found the post by Positron mentioning the possible future reversion of the Kora fruit change, assuming they manage to block the fruit from storage bins.

Reality check: It means you're Nerfed even AFTER issue-7 changes.
If you look at the proposed "scaling" system... ACC Debuffs still get Nerfed.
4 Reasons:
1) Castle's Stalker posse couldn't handle full strength Hurricane
2) */Dark MM's were soloing Archvillains/Heroes...just like Ill/Rads
3) Rad-Emission in general needed another nerf.
4) Two words: DM/SR Stalkers.
Their original Excuse that it invloved Hammy-O's was closer to the truth...
...We're basically all getting nerfed now and into the future b/c of 4-5 powerbuilds.

Seriously, I get a laugh out of everyone saying I can't play this, its gimped, I can't do that, its gimped. Learn to do what humans have done all throughout history.... ADAPT or DIE!!! Complaining hasn't nor will change a thing. The Devs make tweaks to the game, yes, and they even try to give us a heads up on them, but eriously, if ya don't like it just leave, and don't let the door hit ya on the way out.
Its a shame that all of the doom and rip on the dev threads seem to cause them not to communicate as well as we like, for fear of starting a huge flame war.
Learn to treat the Devss as people and maybe they will talk to us again. I swear, if someone talked to you the way people talk to and about the Devs, you would either ignore them or start a fight with them.

(Yes I did the same thing for I5 complained and moaned, and then found out it was not bad at all, jsut some adjustment to my game play style took care of it. I6 (ED) didn't bother me at all, and I have no complaints about it.)

Exactly. I have not noticed any broadcast spamming that needs such a fix. And yes, I am also disappointed that resources were diverted to this when they could have been put to better use on something with a much higher fun factor. What's next? Fixing Superspeed so that people cannot go in a circle more than 2 times for that occasionally annoying person that likes to zip around the team while waiting.

So let em get this streight....If i am running with a friend and fighting a +4 villains, at end I will receive no more bonus then I would be running my own mission at relentless?
Really getting tired of changes being made because a select few want to power level.
First it was change "Burn" so villains dont take so much damage and run away... making it useless
Second, change taunt so it only effects 5-6 bad guys
Third, remove perma-hasten
Fourth, lower number of pets a controller can spawn
Fifth, ED! need I say more
ect.
Now no good reward for hard work.... the fun is fleating fast out of this game. This doesn't make it challanging it makes it a pain in the butt.
STOP THE NERFS! I cant even play my Fire Tanker anymore. I have played since day one and put up with a lot of changes I disagree with. I watched several of my fiends leave the game for reasons like this... don't know what to do anymore except voice my opinion. I know there are others that argee with me (that haven't left already) and I hope they speak up as well.

I did not see this post until I finished my "rant" about constintly having re-build my hero's and now villains.
I pay for this game and all of you do... I enjoy building my toon the best way I can... I make a mistake, and I do a respec mission and I can fix it. That is my responsibility.
To drasticly change the rules all the time and make me then again change is uncool and rather anoying. I know of 5 close friends of my that have left the game because it was it was a pain to have to change every few months.
oh and by the way def_con it is not immature to disagree with this type of change.. but is is to make comments like"go back to your baby bottles"... which I think you made. I can see where you are coming from...

I'm fine with that. Really. I mostly play Defenders and support characters, and I'm usually the only one in the group with Vengeance in the first place.
What I want to know is does this apply to NPC's as well? It's really annoying to be fighting Nemesis with my Scrapper, and each time I kill a mob, there goes another round of Vengeance for them.
If this goes both ways, and NPC's can't stack it either, that would be cool.

The change is ONLY for the "end of mission" rewards, not the individual defeats of enemies.
+3 levels was chosen simply because the level range for fair XP sharing during missions is around +3, that and when you are running at the highest difficulty level, +3 enemies will tend to show up.

You still get normal mob bonuses. The change only affects end of mission bonuses, because some players would exploit the bonus by dropping their SKs right before the mission ended to earn "mad l00t".
