Preach it sister! If you think the endless schoolgirls were bad when issue 4 went live, the thoughts of the army of Neo clones that will plague Rhode Island's most dangerous city the day after Trenchcoats go live sends shivers down my spine.

Right, just like the community of Rhode Island continues to ignore official requests to spy/neuter their pets - I can't walk two steps without stepping on a cat girl's tail.
Seriously though, I don't particularly want trenchcoats, but I wouldn't mind a waist-length stylish leather jacket with cloth simulation.

Can you explain why you think that? What's so special about capes?
[/ QUOTE ]
Ever fly/run/jump/teleport to Atlas park only to be ambushed with bushel-loads of lag because they're's so many people there? Imagine how it would be if every one of them was wearing a trenchcoat (which is more than likely a heavier graphic than capes)

Everytime someone has said "City of (costume piece)" they look incredibly stupid a week after the initial "new" factor is over.
Trenchcoats are the staple of the 1920-30s detective. They predate Matrix, leather clad vampires, and stupid assumptions about a piece of clothing being worn by a select few "annoyances".
Besides, shouldn't you be fighting to stop the asian style costumes from turning this game into "City of Anime"? What happened, I thought the game was going to be ruined?

Nah, he always posts more right after the press statement comes out about an issue (or expansion).
I guess he wants to see if we want it bad enough, and if he don't, he'll just taunt us with the issue forever until we start begging.
What a mean master.
Let's not forget that there will be a bunch of Gambit-type heroes/villians and Hellboys if trenchcoats go live.
I agree with the lvl 20 thing tho.
They should be just like capes...otherwise, there's no point to get to lvl 20. >_>

O.o
I bet you guys were the same people complaining about Dragonball Z wannabe's and all the battle of the planet wanna be's (new helmets). oh and the school girl costumes... Oh Pirates! ALL those pirates when COV hit!
Hmm I wonder what happened to all those people...
I KNOW! They got bored with that costume cuz it was cool at the moment and they got to oher costume options.
If you do not want a particular costume piece, fine dont wear it. Let new costume pieces come in the game for those that want them... Why would you want to stop other people from enjoying new "content" as costume pieces?

*ED DOOM!!! *
You know, it struck me today, after admiring a very fashionably dressed woman, that you can do ALOT with long coats. So instead of JUST trenchcoats, maybe they can fiddle around with them a little, like they do with capes. A closed trench coat, an open one. Hell, you could include cloaks and robes with similar animation, I'm sure, and the long coat that tighens at the waist and flares out a little at its base. Put a female heroine in that with knee-high or thigh-high boots, and you have yourself a very trendy, but very modest, character ;0
Yet another good reason to bring on the coats! I am sick and tired of dressing my female characters in pants because the skirts are either A) pleated and odd-looking or B) make them look like streetwalkers.

"My center is giving way, my right is in retreat; situation excellent. I shall attack."
-Ferdinand Foch
I like the idea of trenchcoats as an option (though, yeah, I'm sure for a while Paragon City would look like an explosion in a Rick Deckard factory...).
Looking over my characters, of the 30 or so I currently have on the servers, there's only one that I might've put in a trenchcoat if I had the option. More choice in costume design can only be a good thing, though.
