Posi I cant say I have been one of your biggest fans, I am sorry but to much bad blood on the ED and GDN and how everything went down. But I do respect very much and I give full credit to your greatness in this games creation and development. Very cool Bro great game. I would like to thank ALL the Dev staff over the years. Like to say SORRY to Geko about the Regen review in I3, that got me kicked out of your wolfie group. If I had know about ED and GDN it would have been much different. I want to give a big hug and THANK YOU for going way beyond the call of duty to the Sales Dept and Reps. If it was not for sales I would not have gotten any tech support or gotten in contact with Ghost Falcon (you great god you
) and been able to get tech support over the years. I must take a couple of words about the great web team and how great of a job they have done over the years. Also Cuppa Joe the greatest Goddess to grace all of us, BOW down and worship your dogs!!! thank you for all you did and we will always miss you.
Thank you all so much.
I would like to put out a nice big double middle finger to NCSoft and the upper management of CoH over the years for really having no clue of business and of taking a game that could have beat WoW and taking it right down the drain. And a quick one to the tech support to say it is not always the persons computer. When it happens on 3 total different computers on 3 different internet companies. It might be a bug. Just report it and tell me its been sent to the right people. Don't try and convince its our computer, it is not. Sorry for that rant, I will stop now.
Just a big thank you and hope you all do well in your future endeavors. -

Quote:I completely mean this joking. I have a new name for the Issue. :P/em blows off the dust on his Issue 0 AR/Dev Blaster
I think I am as excited about these changes as you guys are. Maybe more since I can actually see the detailed patch notes.
Synapse
Issue 24: Years in the Waiting. -
Sorry I am late but happy B-Day.
And yes that is no Bubba Moon that's a Bubba Space Station. -
Welcome. I have had the problem sence, hmm let me think Issue 2. Been over and over and over and......with Tech support for years. Tech support says there is no Mem leak. Ended up dealing with one of the devs and yes there is one, the problem is they cant find it. It doesn't effect enough people for it to be found. And it effects one person and then someone with an identical machines, drivers, everything it doesn't. About a year and a half ago I did finally get rid of it. But it took an all new computer with top of the line video and that to get rid of it. Wish I had better news, sorry and GL.
O also I did find and still do if there are a lot of fire effects going on it makes it way worse. -
Now this is a bug I can support. I love getting on one of my tank/brute/scrappers and not having to turn on everything. This one should be left, its so much better than the detoggle ever time you zone.
-
This is all pets now not just the wolves, even troller/dom pets. But since tech support keeps telling me to post my tech support problems here. And I am told buy others that I agree with that it shouldn't. I don't understand how we are to get stuff fixed.

Quote:Having same problem. Was hoping they would have it fixed from Beta. :/So far the two characters I've logged in have had the window positions reset, but not to the default positions. The nav bar has shifted about one nav bar to to the right, the power trays are about one power tray higher (not docked on the bottom of the screen), and the status bar is about one status bar to the right. The others are all where I left them.
It's almost like the anchor points moved from the top left corner to the top right, or bottom left for the power bars.
For the combat numbers window, my standard list of items has been replaces with range, ranged defense, something else, and melee defense. It was the same on both characters. -

Disappointed, not that I expected any different. Nice of them to use the sets they never intended to release with new issue as part of the advertisement for it....... I miss the false advertisement laws.
Looking forward to the solo incarnate tho. Finally can incarnate my 50s on the dead servers. ;D
Just did new incarnate stuff. yep not much goodness in this release. -
Quote:I sent you one in PM, one of hundreds of reply's from tech support over the years here. Something needs to be done about your tech support. I am sorry but they hands down are the reason that none of my friends will play your game. They have seen how your tech support works from my dealings with them and now they wouldn't touch this game with a 10' pole. They are also hands down the main reason I am thinking of leaving your game after 8 years of playing. Not bored with the game or don't find a lack of things to do just some of the most messed up tech support I have ever seen. Sorry its been very bad. So yes someone needs to be let known that this is happening and honestly there needs a house cleaning from top to bottom....By all means, PM me the conversation and ticket to me. I can't investigate, but will forward the PM along. If there's a breakdown along the way and our GMs are giving out misinformation, the CS team will review the process flow, and change it (the process).
Just a reminder, neither I nor the Community team has access to your billing history or billing information. -
How about them telling us to post to the forums because there is nothing they can do. Am I to use the forums for tech support problems now? Almost every support ticket I send ends up with them telling me this. That is this subject or any other...
If we have a problem in game are we not suppose to put in a ticket with the support tab or use the support page? And if we are going to be told to come here anyways then what is the use?
I really would love an answer on this from a red name, please, pretty please. Even if it is PM. -
Got about of hundred of these on Test server just to see what they were like. As for live, if they were 1PP for 10 packs I might (keyword might) get some of them but that would only be with the points I get free with my sub. Pay real $ for them, hahaha not going to happen....

Truly one of the best things I have heard/read of when it comes to online games. Keep up the good work Sister Flame. You have the power to teach a lot of people that they may want to rethink how they look at things when it comes to gaming and young ones.
For me it was D&D that teachers and that said was no good for me, but my parents saw that I was reading and learning Mythology. My grades went up and I read more of other kinds of books. But you still hear the D&D is evil from a lot of people.
Anyways keep having fun!!!!
Also all you parent/child teams might want to get together and form a SG. Call it the Young Ones or something like that and just have it be parent and child/ren that can join. Think it would be a wonderful idea.
P.S. Let Arcanaville in the SG that way she can help train and then do all the trials with an "all" minor group. Think that would be a lot of fun for all involved. -
Looks at Hyperstrike, shakes head and just walks away from self important child.

Quote:I my self have been building Comps. pro from way back in the 286 days. Listen to this man he knows what he is talking about.Spoken like a true intel fanboy. I've been building systems for years, and never had any kind of issues whatsoever running AMD processors. I've used both, in my own systems and customers systems, and for general gaming and all around use, there is virtually no difference. If I was doing serious multitasking, or video decoding, or something that is processor intensive, I would recommend an intel processor, but for CoH, and any other MMO around, as well as 99% of other games out, anything more than a solid AMD quad core is just overkill.
I recommended the 4 core over the 6 core purely because of clock speed, and the fact that unless you are doing some serious multitasking, you arent going to see a performance increase with a lower clock 6 core.
The power supply(which is a Corsair Builder Series) is 80+ certified, with the system components running at 422 watts (at max, which would very rarely happen) would be perfectly fine to run these components. If you were planning on adding a second video card or something down the road, get a bigger PSU.
The motherboard is a cheap one, but I've used ASrock in several systems and have had no issues. Your personal experiences may vary. Mine have been good.
As for the case, you could go with a full size atx case and have more room to work with and hide cables, but you'd probably be surprised how much bigger it is than your average oem computer. This case has very good reviews, and will work with the card I've listed, I've used the combination before.
You could spend a little extra money and get a WD caviar, or maybe a SeaGate Barracuda hard drive, but all in all it wont make much of a performance difference.
We aren't talking about a high end gaming rig here, which is what you guys seem to be recommending. CoH is near the very bottom of the spectrum when it comes to graphics load. I play CoH on an AMD 4450e system with a 9800gtx, and can run in ultra on 1440x900 with no issues whatsoever.
If you don't mind spending an extra 200 bucks on the system for what amounts to brand name preference, by all means, go with Intel. It is faster, and because it is, will probably last a year or 2 longer. But realize that the hardware is WAY ahead of the software right now, and this has been the issue for a couple of years. Having an I7 or i5 is great, but there really isnt much out there that requires the performance increase that they have over AMD processors.
I run an Intel system and a buddy runs an AMD system, pretty much same system just different makers and they as far as gaming (depending on how the game is optimized) are just that the same.
I personally build what I call 10 year computers. They cost me around $1500 and will last with minimal upgrade about 10 years before they need replaced due to hardware and game restraints. Just built mine last year with a intel i7, Gigabite MB, 6 gb of ram, TB HD, and Gigabite Nvidia 570, Thermaltake Case and Power Supply. I got it all other than the Video Card in Newegg combos, Video was from NE just not in a combo. I love my comp and have not even come close to not being able to run any game anything but full tilt.
When you look for a case go for a water system or if going to stick to fans get the big 100mm+ I have 4 on mine and omg they are quite and everything is so cool its stupid. Even over clocked like I am the heat was only a deg or 2 increase.
I just have to mention this my buddies system is the AMD equivalent and was cheaper. All but the case, HAHAH for some reason he decided that he wanted this $600 all Aluminum case. He got it on sale for $350 and all I can say is I am glad I went with my $50 Thermaltake, much lighter, and quieter. Yes his is cool in the fact that it actully has room for 2 computers (a reg and a mini) but OMG the price and sorry, but the thing is just ugly. Its all a fin design, like that is going to help the cooling lol.
But in the end don't listen to any of us, do the research and get the system that will most fit your needs. Do the work and you will be happier with what you have in the end. Good luck and happy building. -
So the Xmas Pack went live, and it makes me wonder how many people ARE being effected by this? Why, well simple, if you cant log onto your toons and you still want the stuff, well here you go just buy it..... great way for them to try and pick up some extra cash for the holidays...
O well at least they got it out before xmas... -
Ya, it is happening to all my toons old or new now with new patch. I am afraid to log onto any of my others.
So now even the patches are breaking the game? hmmm.....Think we are starting to feel the rain of the storm. -
Little secret.
There already is a very small group that the devs listen to, and its not always a good thing. -
My guess for the rest of it will be that next arc will have the "Emotional" death of Statesman. Then the rest of the arcs will feel hurried and incomplete. But why change how they have done every new thing they have put in the game now.
I really do hope I am wrong, just don't have much hope of it being any different. -
Quote:Sorry total disagree with this the how is not even close to as important as the who was going to die. I saw some one mention Superman's death and us all knowing it was coming, but honestly that is not even close to Statesman. I mean its the man of steel and other than Batman who has beaten him 3 times no one else has come close really. So the how was a big thing with his death. Statesman, hell we have all beat him and the the other members so bad and many times in the LRTF that they all should be working on the street corner selling there booties.I'm actually quite surprised. And really, anyone saying this kills the suspense forgets the most important part of what Zwill said:
"You know WHO dies, but you don't know HOW."
The 'How' has to be the most important part of this. I mean, we're talking about freaking STATESMAN here. Guy who punches things and lightning explodes everywhere. Someone with a direct link to the Well. How exactly could anyone just kill him? That's the suspenseful part. And if this person/thing could kill Statesman, what does that mean for everyone else?
Also, I'd be fine with Ms. Liberty. Honestly, after Part 3, I have no problems with Longbow's activities anymore. If Ms. Liberty goes full Vigilante, I'd have a characters who would be ALL too happy to help her. It would be fine time for a little eye-for-an-eye payback after being forced to act like an idiot the last 3 parts of this arc.
So Zwill have you and the others figured out this was a very very bad idea yet???? You guys won't communicate with us about stuff that needs to be talked about and avoid questions about problems with the game. But the one thing you guys should have kept you mouths shut about, blab blab blab. And then sit there and tell us that we are wrong to be upset about it. Makes me question were this game is headed and what is planned for the future of this game, add in the going with patches that are no were near ready and the other stuff that marketing has done WOW really.... I feel someone what higher up needs to step in and fix/fire the problem. But that's just mho -
Quote:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=axk76...eature=related.The feeling is that impact of States dying is not in the reveal that he's dying but in the fact that he's dying. How does he die? What does it mean for the Freedom Phalanx and, perhaps more importantly, what does it mean for the future safety and well being of Paragon City.
There's a lot more questions to be answered and story to be explored, even after his death.
And trust me, his death scene is pretty stirring.
Had to redo this post 4 times tell I realized, I should have expected this. Why would I expect them to change now. To bad I was enjoying the whole line.Sorry but all the questions and story really doesn't matter to me anymore the part that made it fun is ruined.
Not saying I won't run the content, just saying that I'll run it once and then its running the first arc for the rewards with the rest of my characters. Just another system to be used for character rewards instead of enjoyment. -
Personally I always thought the problems that are being talking about could be fixed with IO sets. Not ones that are in the game now but I thought the Dev's could do new ones like a Taunt set that actually gives you more to the Taunt cap or similar effects for what ever. I was hoping this was going to be the purpose of the new AT IO sets. But I haven't seen any yet so have no idea.
I think a lot of these problems could be fixed this way. But no new sets since they invention system has come out.
just my 2 cent.
