Badge Questions
Will there ever be a way for toons that have outleveled the PVP zone contacts to be able to run the missions? If they are rewarding badges, then you are arbitrarily limiting those of us that have already outleveled them. I believe Statesman said that ONLY the tutorial badges would be unattainable once you've missed them. As it stands, there is no way to get the patrol badges that I can find. I've gotten the others via teams, but only the mission holder gets the patrol mission badges.

Exemplar/Malefactor to someone doing the mission and you will get the badge when they do.
We do not want to make the missions in the PvP zones go all the way to 50, because then a character could literally spend all his time in that zone, never needing to leave except to visit stores, and that is gameplay we dont want to encourage.

Why can't we have a list of which Praetorian AVs we *have* defeated, so we know where we are on the badge for Portal Jockey.
I have all of them marked off my own list at home, yet the game disagrees with my tally and I have no choice but to repeat them, starting with any I have only done once.
In theory, I could do all of them again before getting the badge.
The SERVERS know which you have done / haven't done. Why can't we have a LIST?
Are the Bug Hunter and Passport badges active, or was the artwork developed, and the badges never implemented?
Are there any badges that are still bugged that are not currently working on test, and consequently will not be working after the next patch?

Fair enough. But what about Issue 6? The PVP badges (Gladiator Wins, Reputation, Missions, and Time Spent) are completely mixed up.

I had this in a separate post before I even noticed this thread (I know, how could I not notice)...
With the upcoming introduction of shifting from hero to villain, it's going to open up a ton more badges from the other side... between 100-200 new badges to earn (damn you for that, by the way... as if my OCD wasn't bad enough).
Is there a plan for introducing higher level "badges acquired" badges? Will there be a 300 and 400 badges badge?

Both are fully implemented, just not totally activated.
A single player, on a single character has Bug Hunter for discovering a nasty Pretige exploit. It's GM awarded, in this case. There has been some talk of awarding it to anyone who has participated in Beta, hopefully for all characters.
Passport was obtainable through a bug with the CoV pre-order. It's presumably related to Server Transfers, but is otherwise unobtainable in-game for now.

Given that Patrols give Most Wanted/Risk Taker: is the current lack of patrol missions above Bloody Bay intentional? Is there any way for characters who have outlevelled Bloody Bay missions to pick this up? Teaming with someone running a patrol in BB does not currently award it on live.

Alright, The gunner badge. Is it still bugged? I know, someone has comfirmed it over on pinnacle, but, they said they had done over 300 firebases to get the badge. That seems to be quite alot of firebases and would take quite a long time.
Is there, perhaps, a trick of sort involved? The badge description does kinda imply that you need to only take over 1 firebase... but 300? Bit rediculous.

Its fixed. Processing your ore will earn you the Gunner badge. Expect this in the next full patch to the Training Room server (basically sometime after Pocket D goes to Live).

The live chat with Statesman stated that the Passport badge will be activated when they allow cross-server transfers.

For things like History or Accolades, how about a segmented progress bar? eg, "Can someone point me towards the second piece of the Student badge?" This would remove the need to track a lot of progress on paper. Especially with those Praetorians.

The Lorekeeper badge actually does have a progress bar. Swashbucker and Technofreak are "secret" badges, though.
I question whether it's such a good idea to award a badge for changing servers. That's just going to encourage a lot of frivolous server transfers, and probably put a lot of undue strain on the servers.

Is this a one-time thing? We only have to process one ore? Not 10 times like Rocketman?

And as for using TV to explain the contaminated - why would a nuclear reactor have the same effects as a drug developed by the Rikti?

I'd rather you auto exemplar down for the in zone missions then artificially limit the lvl you can do them. Perhaps you can turn them into a mini-trial (I mean one misssion long) set to the lvl of the zone. Since you can't quit the mish without de-explaring it's not like you could use it to visit other out lvled missions. Presto, you can't use them to out lvl the base lvl of the zone and all the higher lvls can contribute.
Punishing most of the population because someone might lvl up in a rather boring (but not really better) way is just silly.

Now I have been considering combineing all the lists into one huge, sorted, master list, but the very real possibility of breaking something BIG could come of that. Not something I look forward to doing anytime soon.
Poz could possibly add some limited sorting to the Badge window, but it would be SO limited, it would be almost useless to you (we can't sort by "when you got it" for example, since we dont track that).

Forgive me if this was posted already, but when Issue 4 went live the only badge I can remember being added was Kill Skuls, and that appears on the list directly after the Bonesmasher badge, which would put it somewhere in the middle of the Issue2/3 list. Why is that?
Issue 16 made me feel like this.

So, the Isolated badge. Only acquirable if you're generating a new toon as of Issue 2 onward. Most of the older heroes have been here long before that. You can only currently get it if you recreate your toon totally (delete, recreate), or if you got the bug when you'd die and you'd end up in the Outbreak hospital.
I always thought an elegant solution to this would be to have a Portal Corp. mission where you could go to a world where the Contaminated took over the city, and developed new powers, and still have it count. Or, a hero could "go" to City Hall, and when teamed with a neophyte player, "enter" Outbreak auto-exemp'd to 1 to assist them on a team.
This is more of an issue on how to acquire a badge, rather than a badge not being available, but it's something that the old timers would like to have done. How about it, Posi? Do it for the old timers.

It's fixed in that you can get it via 10 rated Gladiator wins. Whether or not it should be rewarded for any 10 wins, like Lanista is for a single victory, is unknown.

Is there any chance of having badges awarded from TFs working more like the Souvenirs previously did? For example, the "Portal Smasher" badge from Dr. Quaterfield's TF in Shadow Shard would have all of the text from the Souvenir that was disabled? (Perhaps only a little of the text could show, but be expandable like how Souvenirs are or how missions now currently work with the pop-up?)
I'm sorry if this was already brought up as I haven't read the thread, but I did want to bring something big up. The Giant Monster spawns for the Kraken, Babbage, Adamastor and Jurrasik seem to come very rarely now or if they do pop up, no one knows that they are there because they are in hazard zones people don't frequent much. Is there a way to get them to spawn more and/or have some indicator for when they do spawn? The events in the city zones are easier to notice because they are traveled frequently, but the special monster spawns aren't so lucky. I know that you're wary about spawning them more since the Winter Lord event, but it would make the badge hunter's life much easier to at least know there might be a spawn sometime during the day or at least know when a monster has spawned or maybe even make triggers for spawning like Caleb and Deathsurge (like defeating the Hydra in Perez will spawn Kraken to defend them or something).

Is that something you've changed recently or are planning to change because when I've attempted this in the past only the mission holder gets awarded the badge for patrol missions.
To me it's seems like it's awarded the same way that a end of mission xp bonus is only awarded to the player who owns the kill x of x hunt in zone mission.
