Badge Questions

Do one of each type mission, you will then have the 3 pvp zone mission badges. The true pvp badges come from 20 kills, 100 Rep and 400 Rep.

[/ QUOTE ]

Any clue if you get credit for kills when teamed? I would assume so, but does the credit get split, or would we each get 1 for every person defeated?

I find your lack of signature disturbing.

Reputation is divided among your team, just like XP, inf, and prestige. An 8 man team gets something like 0.25 reputation per player defeated, if I'm remembering right. Body counts I'm less sure about. If it's like the PvE kill badges, then 20 defeats by anybody on your team should count. Possibly it might have to be somebody you can earn rep from to begin with.

Arc #48845 - Operation: Dirty Snowball

oh and they don't reward vendetta either. Meaning you can't kill the same player too consecutively or you'll get "You recently defeated this player so you don't get any reputation for the defeat" or something along those lines. Let someone else irk you for a bit before turning your sights to the main person hindering your villainy (or heroism as the case may be)

It didn't actually reset, the SG healing badges are bugged but only with the appearance of the bar. You just don't see the badge meter anymore but it didn't reset.

Just 1 hour ago on Triumph, I responded to a Kraken alert. Total size of the team? Four!

Why?

The Kraken spawns to frequently?

I repeat my earlier comments that it is nearly impossible these days to get a full team for Giant Monsters. There is no need to make them tougher, only to make more incentives for more than one team to take them out. The 5-10% damage rule would be a good step in the right direction.

Triumph: White Succubus: 50 Ill/Emp/PF Snow Globe: 50 Ice/FF/Ice Strobe: 50 PB Shi Otomi: 50 Ninja/Ninjistu/GW Stalker My other characters

Your answer is on page 3 of this thread, near the bottom. Positron already answered it. No, it isn't buggy, the badge text is wrong.

It is now for 1 type of pvp mission, not for 50.

Since I'm usually one of the first to scream about poor service from a place, I thought I better even that out a little.

NOT A FANBOI, but I think it's supercool that Posi's answered so many questions here.

Mentoring badges, do you have to be earning XP to get them? Can you sit in a mission with your Lackey next to you for extended periods of time and still earn the badge's?

Thank you for your answer.

[/ QUOTE ]

Still trying to get an answer from a REDNAME on this so I can know for sure how this works.

Spent 10+ hours yesterday with a LK, and no badge, no place holder, nothing.

Well, were you standing there in a mission without moving for those 10 hours?
In that case, it would seem to be a rather good answer to your question.

The question then becomes: is this *intended* behavior, or is this a bug that doesn't accumulate mentor time?

I know what the intended behavoir is, problem is, no one can confirm what gets you the badge. SOme people say you have to be activly gaining XP, while others say just siut in a mission with a LK.

I really do not care about others opinions on how I am trying to obtain the badge, I care what exactly is needed to gain the badge, how or in what fashion are you able to go about getting it.

In response to Positron's post about the Baphomet badge, he said that we may have to beat him again. That is where I have a problem.

I hope the developers can either find a way to allow for those of us who have already taken him down get credit for it, or to make him available in a higher level mission (41-50). I wouldn't mind having to fight him again to get the badge if it wasn't so difficult to find someone who has that particular mission.

Baphomet (as most of you know) is in a 35+ mission, and timed at that. Unless there is another point at which we can fight him, that means we only have one shot which is now wasted if there's no way to retroactively award the badge.

Yes, we can join up with someone else who has the mission, but the problem there is the fact that it's a relatively high level mission. Unlike, say, the Spelunker mission, where you can talk a friend into starting up a new character and power levelling them to get to that mission, or that the sheer number of lower level characters makes the mission readily accessible, the availability on Baphomet is going to be much lower. If we have to beat him again to get the badge, then we'll have to wait for potentially hours, broadcasting requests for someone who has the mission to please let you in. And we can't participate in missions during that time, because we'll have to be in the main Nerva area in order to send out the broadcasts. That is a rather excessive effort considering that we have, in fact, done what was required for the badge.

I hope this doesn't come across as whining, because to be honest, I do love the game. It's just when I hit a snag like this that I tend to get irritated.

If you have a lackey, you mean you would actually waste 10 hours of game time just to get the Boss/Mentor badge? Run missions! I have 2 of the Boss/Mentoring badges and I can tell you I rarely lakey anyone (not because I don't want to but because I usually have even level teams and it's usually a friend or SVG mate who wants in on the action). I don't think it's bugged and should be working as intended (i.e. time is calculated by gaining XP) I mean seriuosly, what kind of boss are you if all you're doing is teaching your lacky how to be lazy? (In the RW you'd be fired, right!?!)

My main issue, is that no one with the actuall knowledge will give an answer. The GM's say the CAN'T tell me the answer, Posi has not replied to my PM.

I just want to know exactly what the requirement is, either way.

Like I said above, opinions on my methods for obtaining badges don't concern me, I am just wanting to know what the requirments are.

Most badge requirements and slick ways to earn them are discovered by players. They are usually not confirmed by devs until it is so common knowledge that they are not giving the information away. So the best thing you can do for us is prove your point right or wrong. There is no cheat guide to give you the answer on this one. You will have to take the reins and figure it out yourself. Just remember to post your results on the forums so all of us can benefit from them.

Doesn't Angus McQueen give a mission with Baphomet in it? I swear I read it on Red Tomax's website when I was trying to figure out how to space out my leveling to insure I got all arcs and badge missions from contacts level 40-45... which means if this is true Baphomet is already in a 41+ mission as you can't get Angus McQueen as a contact until you're over level 40 and completed a story arc from that level of contacts.

Oh and thought I'd be extra nice and double check info.. so here it is on a silver platter for ya :P Mission name "Stop the Rikti transdimensional expedition"

I can understand the frustration of not having an exact way of making sure you are receiving full credit. From what I have seen, this is what the devs want. Active playing definitly does reward the badge, and you don't get the first one until I believe 8 hours, so if you have someone to play along with such as your son, just have fun, enjoy the game and you will get the badge quickly enough.
