Most badge requirements and slick ways to earn them are discovered by players. They are usually not confirmed by devs until it is so common knowledge that they are not giving the information away. So the best thing you can do for us is prove your point right or wrong. There is no cheat guide to give you the answer on this one. You will have to take the reins and figure it out yourself. Just remember to post your results on the forums so all of us can benefit from them.

I spent 1.5 hours yesterday with my son doing LB mission's in Warburg, He was lk'ed to me the entire time. We did 13 seperate missions, I still have NO counter for a Mentoring badge. Something is not working right, a simple, You have to be recieving damage/giving damage/earning XP, or whatever, I am simply looking for an answer, no cheating.

I can understand the frustration of not having an exact way of making sure you are receiving full credit. From what I have seen, this is what the devs want. Active playing definitly does reward the badge, and you don't get the first one until I believe 8 hours, so if you have someone to play along with such as your son, just have fun, enjoy the game and you will get the badge quickly enough. -

If you have a lackey, you mean you would actually waste 10 hours of game time just to get the Boss/Mentor badge? Run missions! I have 2 of the Boss/Mentoring badges and I can tell you I rarely lakey anyone (not because I don't want to but because I usually have even level teams and it's usually a friend or SVG mate who wants in on the action). I don't think it's bugged and should be working as intended (i.e. time is calculated by gaining XP) I mean seriuosly, what kind of boss are you if all you're doing is teaching your lacky how to be lazy? (In the RW you'd be fired, right!?!)

My main issue, is that no one with the actuall knowledge will give an answer. The GM's say the CAN'T tell me the answer, Posi has not replied to my PM.
I just want to know exactly what the requirement is, either way.
Like I said above, opinions on my methods for obtaining badges don't concern me, I am just wanting to know what the requirments are.

Ok, I have read the posts and here are my findings of the more important facts:
1) Blue House : If granny lives across the street, you may want to rethink the color. There are many colors that she may be more willing to compromise for, but obviously blue is not a color she is comfortable with.
2) fighting monkeys: Who doesn't enjoy watching the cute little critters play with each other. Yeah, sometimes they may get rough but it is all fun and games. (No monkeys were hurt in the making of the post)
3) Straw man - I am still a little confused. I have seen the movie several times and am wondering if he actually got a brain or if he was just reading off the diploma he received.
4) egg mcmuffin - While not bad, I prefer the bagel sandwiches. Although, I tend to skip breakfast, (of course, hurting Mcdonalds business in the process), they are much better in my humble opinion.
5) ad hominem: What can I day, looked up the definition and am still confused, so all I can say is that I am disappointed with my efforts and 80% of most people I don't know, agree.
Edit: Oh yeah, and there is a quick but discreet argument going on between a few people on whether isolater should be available to pre I2 characters. I didn't want to hurt anyones feelings so thought I would throw this in. -
Let's see, Positron said that if they added the ability to get the badge after leaving Outbreak it would be extremely hard to get. Many players challenged Positron that he could never develop something so hard that it would discourage them from doing it.
Of course what if the challenge is not game related. What could be harder than getting everyone to agree on one stance in the forums about the badge? -

But this is from my point of view, if I would have known that isolator would never have been brought outside of Outbreak I may have considered the to reroll, but I never knew and nor did anyone else at the time.

Don't get me wrong, I see you reasoning. I would probably think the same way. I was playing when the first halloween event came about. I was only about level 20 so decided that I would skip the event in favor of doing missions. My reasoning was that this would probably be a yearly event and I would do it later. [Yes, I know some people are saying that it will be repeated] My point is, I took a chance, like you pointed out you did and may have missed on ever doing the event. Believe me, I would love to get every badge. At this point though, I just have to wait and see what happens also just as you posted. -

I suspect the reason is nothing else but spite, Positron's way at getting even for all those folks who requested this. Another big win for Customer Service there, Pos.

Maybe the reason he made the comments is exactly what has happened. How many people in these forums can make one comment and have eleven pages of replies follow it? Sure has been fun reading all of the post though. -

And as I stated before, many heroes that come to these forums, that would like the chance to earn this badge has a legitimate reason to ask for the chance, because they never had the fair chance to earn this badge being a pre-i2 hero.
If you can not distinguish the difference between the two then, I feel sorry for you.

It is true that there were heroes pre issue 2 that can not get the badge right now, that did not stop you from starting a hero right then and there and earning the badges. This would have been a wise decision if badge hunting was as important to you then as it is now. Also, by doing this, none of the special events would have been missed by that character either because they came out post I2 also. Yes, you would have had to start a new character, but being the type of player you seem to be, it doesn't seem to be a problem. Now though, you can't go back and do what I am suggesting because it would mean the loss of all of the special event badges that you probably own, putting you in the same position as everyone else.
Really, because of a failure to act [i.e. building character right when issue 2 released] you have put yourself in the position you are now.
I will say I wouldn't mind seeing isolater available. I have it on most of my characters. I just wanted to give a constructive view on your post. -
Here is an idea. What if there was a gladiator attached to the isolater badge? All of the people who have the isolater badge would immediately have the gladiator and be able to benefit from it. Positron designs a ultra hard way that anybody who wants the badge, and doesn't have it, can work for it.
This way for a time being, those with isolater benefit from having it and those without it can not complain because they have the ability to get it now and are missing out on another gladiator until they get it.
This coming from someone who also does not have the halloween or winter lord or celebrant or even present collecting badge. (Tried another game for a while and didn't get back in time) I would also like to have the opportunity to get these older badges but can't complain right now as my main still has plenty to do. -

The majority of people will be more likely to believe someone with 5000+ posts then someone with 5 post.
