Base Building/Base Raiding/Prestige Quick-FAQ

Could someone please answer this question for me?

We have a teleporter. Next to it are three monitors which display Striga, Perez Park and The Hollows. However we can only teleport to Striga and PP.

What is up with that? Do I need to go get an exploration badge for The Hollows or do I need to upgrade the TP pad somehow? I am not the SG leader but he didn't know what the problem was either. If we need an exploration badge can anyone (like me) get it or does it have to be the leader?

Each Telepad only accepts two Beacons - the third (the Hollows, in this case) is unattached.

Solution: Build and place a second Telepad. the smallest room set holds two, albeit with some difficulty.

What does a non raid telepad cost to place?

non-raid telepad costs;
quantity of 6, power ( refined component ) to make at basic table
then costs 15,000 prestige to place.
it take take upto 2 beacons.
beacons are 10,000 prestige each, and are purchased not crafted.

Beacons open up by getting all explorations badges in a zone while in sg mode.

Im new to base building. How do I move the entrance to my base. Its the only room I have right now and I want to put it in the corner of my plot, but the editor won't let me move it at all.

You don't. You go into Plot Upgrade, select the same size plot and put it in a new position.

if i choose to upgrade to a bigger plot size, can i downgrade back to the smaller one?

Yes, provided the rooms you have will fit on the smaller plot.

This may have been answered in the other 20 or so pages but rather then go through all that, here it is. I get 486 or so prestige at the end of a mission on the hardest difficulty on my 36 mm, my mm friend that is 20 but I lacky him, gets 500+, how can this be right?

As your lackey, he's a level lower than you, so the mission is an extra +1 to him, and the end reward is bumped up accordingly.

I believe you have to have base-editing privledges, as well as at least a million inf saved. Go to the sg registrar and he will give you the option to donate.

The only items that will accept other items are in the "Desks" tab. Items from arcane, tech, room details, etc. (if they are small enough) will fit on these desks. Not all items in the desks tab will accept items.

All I can tell you is to follow these guidelines and learn by trial and error. Some say that moving the camera to an "above" view makes it easier. After mastering this skill it's not necessary, but it should help when first trying this.

Ah, that makes sense. I tried to place a plasma TV on top of a table and it wouldn't take it.

I'll have to wait until I get off work to do some cosmetic work on my base.

Sorry for the double-post, but I'm finding that when I sold back all my SG base to start fresh, I actually had about 100K less prestige than before I had started to build my base.

Do you lose anything when you sell it all back? I rebuilt it almost exactly as I had it before except the layout was different, plus I didn't add a salvage rack. I only put in maybe 20K worth of decorative items; yet I find that I'm short about 80K of what I should have had.

No you don't lose anything. Sometimes there is some "lag" when you sell stuff and the total shown is not accurate. If you want, exit your base and wait a few minutes. Reenter and it should be fine.

Thank you so much for posting all of this on the forum. I have been tinkering around with our SG base for several months now, and last night after reading all of this yesterday, I FINALLY got the power up and going! I'm soooo excited!!! I can't believe it! I actually crafted our first teleport pad, and all I need is a little more prestige for a room and placement.
