I just had a GM email telling me that if a SG member quits the SG not only can you lose the 20k start prestige if the total membership drops below 15, but you also lose ALL prestige that member earned while in the SG. The member doesn't "take" it with them, it's just lost completely! I thought prestige earned for a SG became the property of the SG not still tied to the orginal player that earned it! I PM'ed Posti but haven't received any response.

Do lieutenants and bosses have a better chance to drop salvage than regular minions? Or is it all the same chance no matter what you kill?

Furthermore, does anyone have the actual percentage numbers for salvage drops?

They still haven't changed that. If a player quits the SG, the prestige the've earned while in that specific SG's colors, stays with that SG. It's not lost. Who ever told ya that was seriously mistaken.

The only thing you lose is 20,000 , if your membership goes below 15.

Look, I've had people quit/get booted from the VG, and we didn't lose their prestige, and I know what I saw. Give me a reference then I might believe ya, but in game itself, it's not doing that. Granted if you have 15 members or so and lose one, then you would lose the 20K of prestige. That is true.

uh ok. can someone elaborate on this question, and sorry if it has been answered already I'm not gonna read over every post : (

I just said it's in the manual and it states "Prestige does not belong to you , it belongs to your Super Group. If you quit the Super Group the prestige you earned stays with that Group."

So there not changing anything , that's the way it's setup to work. I wasn't being a jerk , letting you know it was working as intended.

You can place some of the items in "Room details" and "Tech" on top of some of the items in "Desks".

Practice.

At the time I wrote the guide, this feature was still being fixed (it was still pretty buggy when we emerged from beta). That was just a silly little response meaning "answer hazy". A canonical guide for what things can be placed on top of what other things would be rather involved.

Since the various fixes to it, it seems like, for the most part, most small items can be placed on top of most flat-topped desk items. Desk items which already have something on them are iffy.

Full-size items can't be stacked, as far as I can tell. You can have an item connected to the floor and an item connected to the ceiling in the same space, but not literally atop each other.

I just started with COV, specifically to get the base option, and I have to say that your FAQ/Guide is simply awesome. I've been combing the posts for everyone's input and haven't seen a gratz in a few, so I thought I'd put in my 2 cents.

Any Control Device, like a Main Frame or a Data base or a Super computer. As long as you have enough control for everything in your base, it'll work, and if you have enough power to run it as well. If you are short on either or, it won't work. Theres 4 sets of bars on the right part of the screen that tells you how much power you are making/and using, also how much power you are making/using. If the usage bar is more then the making bar. It won't work.

No....actually I had enough to run it and place it but it wouldn't turn on. I then thought "Hey...these magical types don't use computers" so I switched my Arcane Control to Tech Control and voila! a working computer. Threw my whole design concept out the door and must redesign...but oh well. Is there an Arcane Version of the mission computer?

Also can someoone explain how the teleporters work? I have the basic teleporter and a beacon, and it doesn't work. Second how do I get the "return to base" option when defeated?

The Return to Base option is available when you have an Infirmary or Medical Bay built in your base, and also have sufficient Power and Control to operate it.

A little more explanation on the transporter problem would be useful; what part of the telpad doesn't work? The Tech one can be difficult to use so you need to zoom into first person mode before trying to click on the computer inside the telepad. Possibly this is your only problem. You also need to make sure you have enough Power and Control (seen in the red and green bars in the lower right when in the Edit Base mode) to operate the pads.

stand in the telepad in front of the control pad, zoom in using ur mouse wheel until u disappear. A hand should appear when u put the mouse over the control pad, left click and ta da. HealerofDarkness, Fighters of the Free World SG

On villains and in heroes, you can click the back of the teleporter, and still TP to that zone.

Unfortunately no. You can sell all the parts of it but the entry room, but once you've created a base, the only way to get it to totally go away is disband and reform the SG.

i'm curious if someone builds something for the base and adds a personal item to base, than leader ends up upgrading base or deleting room that the item was placed in where does the item go?

My Supergroup is Ghost Legion, Insane Crusaders of Ghost Legion, Ghost Legion of Liberty, My Villiangroup is Shadow Wraiths.
My Global is @Darklite and @DazzlerDarklite

The item was sold back to the SG per say. Meaning that the prestige used to place it is returned to the sg, but the item is lost and would have to be rebuilt. Now if your leader did it the long way (meaning dismanteling the room and rebuilding it elsewhere) he/she did it wrong. There is a "move room" option now that transfers the room as-is to the location of choice without losing any items in it.
