Is the advanced workshop/forge backwards compatible? Meaning can I build all items available in basic with the advanced version?

[/ QUOTE ]

Nope.

Okay to be slightly more useful, people often buy and sell the tables required as needed so you don't have to have all three (or six) set up and operating at the same time since there is no penalty for selling them.

Ok, i got a question. Where can i find out what type salvage drop from each baddie. I specficily wanna know what baddies drop " UNSTABLE RAD PISTOLS " and " NANO FLUIDS". Oh and btw im looking to buy or trade for unstable rad pistols on the infinity server. Also i am willing to trade my 379 pieces of magic salvage for tech salvage. Oh and 1 more question, if i schedule a base raid, when the opposing SG comes to my base , where do they spawn??? the Raid teleporter room or secret entrance or where???

Raiders spawn in the "doorways" between rooms. The more doorways you have, the more spawn points they have available. IIRC, currently whatever spawn point they get when they first zone in is where they'll keep spawning from then on.

We can't get a Supergroup Base. We went to the Supergroup headquarters in both Atlas and GC but wouldn't offer one. What's up?

We don't seem to have an Avatar of Peace in our SG. He didn't quit, we're all just lieutennants somehow. I don't know if this is the problem or what

Yes, that is the problem. If you have no SG leader, you don't have the option of purchasing a base. Therefore, you'll probably have to break the SG and reform.

Hmmm....

If the sg leader quits, it won't promote anyone? However, I would be worred about lost prestige.

I'd try petitioning a gm first about having someone promoted.

The auto-demotion code is supposed to sort that out, so that the SG can never have an inactive leader, and can never be leaderless... You may want to petition and see if a GM can help shed some light on the subject.

The autodemotion is for, as you said, for inactive leaders...

If the leader himself quit or was auto demoted then the person who got promoted quit, then the sg is up the river without a paddle, so to speak.

Medical lab can't be made to restore health (lame, imho). You can increase it, but you need like 2 billion heal points.

Christ, I run a very large and active sg and vg, and only the villain group has the 1st healing badge, much less the 3rd. Thankfully, the sg should hit the healing badge within a few days...

OK...but that doesn't tell me how to increase the recovery...how do I do that?

edit: Meaning...I know that things can be attached to the medical pods to make them heal more with more end recovery...however I don't know what those things are...does anyone know what can be attached to make it heal more?

I found the answer on another post. It put a random hero (one of mine) as the new head because of the 15 day autodemote and I just didn't notice him as I hadn't played him in months and I always thought the larger diamond in the supergroup window meant SG leader. Is that the founder? Anyway, yay for us. The base is forming and we should be forging items in a month or less.

Okay, I just created my SG and want to build a base. The sticky says that "you can be the only member if you want, but this will place severe size and functionality limits on your base." What exactly does that mean ? Will my base be just like a studio apt ? Will it get bigger as more members join ?

When you create a base for the first time, all you get is a small 2x2 room. That's 2 grid blocks by 2 grid blocks. You'll see what I mean. With you as a sole member in the sg, you get a bonus of 20,000 prestige. For every member you add up to 15 members you get another 20,000 each. This means that an sg of 15 members will get the max bonus of 300,000 prestige. That prestige will not buy you much. You could actually by a couple of other rooms, but you will not be able to do anything functional with them.

You earn prestige by playing your character (and the others in the sg) in "Supergroup mode". This is a button located in the upper right corner of your supergroup window (located at top of chat window). As you defeat baddies and complete missions, you earn prestige. Prestige is the "money" for base building.

I'm not going to go into all the specifics about bases (check guides section and other stuff - like this thread), but to get what is considered a "minimally functional" base, you need about 750k prestige.

The best way to learn the base editing tool is just to use it. Everything you buy can be sold back for full price. Have fun!

So if I'm reading this right, I can go ahead and get a base set up, then build it bigger as more people join.

That's cool that you can sell back whatever you buy, very helpful. Thanks for your answer, it really helped !!

Mind you also that you have to pay rent on your base. The more you build, the more you pay. I would suggest to start with a large decorative room to get accustomed to how the base buliding engine works. Play with lighting, floor levels, and room design. Once you have a taste for building you can sell everything back and then do something useful with the base. Word of advise, don't get greedy when building! Start one room at a time, namely the power room as it is initially one of the most expensive but will last the longest without major modifications. Second build a control room. Third build a workstation room so that you can start using the salvage. After that it's up to you!

Mind you, this is by my experience... my 2 inf

Kenja described the situation accurately. There's no code that magically restricts things due to low membership, but it will be difficult to manage the level of prestige income that will allow you to build and maintain a decent base.
