How to silence specific game sounds

I downloaded and updated both Avast and Malwarebites, and MW does indeed detect the download as a Trojan.FakeAlert. The download is a self extracting exe that extracts to a temp folder then executes the main program. I scanned the extracted files, and MW did not find anything. I wrote the code myself, and know there is not virus in it, so I can only assume it's a false positive. Avast found no issues with it, and it was wrote on a system with up-to-date av software installed. I will post a followup with a zipped version as well, to avoid any future false positives.
Thanks for looking into it. I assumed it was probably a false positive, as no one else had said anything, but I didn't feel like messing with it any further to check :-)

Looking for a sound that I think is a new (instant migraine) addition with i19. The Orbital Lance sounds with the War Walkers (not sure if it is the initial targetting or the attack) I'm not sure if anyone would have an updated list to hunt through since i19 so this may be impossible to locate. It may be other attacks from the War Walkers as well if anyone has those and can provide them I'll test and see how many I gotta kill off

Anyone have a list of the city zone ambient background noise loops and their folders please?
Looks like Grandville is in this thread, and I already have Brickstown in Brickstown/BrickAmb1_loop.ogg
Much thanks if anyone has the names for the other zones.
one more request, Hurricane's looping sound would be a boon. It has a little sharp sound that plays over and over mixed in with the wind sound, either that by itself or the entire loop.
Sound file for the first Kinetic Melee attack, Quick Strike?
I'm back to the game after a bit of a hiatus and had lost my silenced files when I had to rebuild my system.
My sonics blaster is now mostly playable but I'm missing silencing 2 powers:
Shriek
Shockwave
The thread pointed to:
Powers/SonicSmallBlast3 for Shriek
and
Powers/SonicGale for Shockwave
but those did not work. Did something change with i19 or so?

Read through this thread and got a lot of info. Wrote a little program that will do a lot of the work of renaming and copying files for you. Used mediafire to host, as no access to a real host. The program uses a SQLLite database to keep track of sound names. If the text file of sound names still exists out there, I can update the database to make finding sounds a lot easier.
The program is simple enough to use. Put a checkmark in to mute a sound, uncheck it to unmute it. Check a folder to mute everything underneath it {ie Demon Summoning } The program automatically copies the silent ogg file to the correct folder and correct name. The changes take effect next time CoX is ran. There is also a button called Glowie, that if you click it and browse to an ogg file, it will change the sound glowies make to whatever sound you give. When you open the program, it does have to populate a tree with 6000+ items, so it may look like it freezes. A look at task manager says otherwise. Give it a minute or so for it to populate. Any feedback welcome, as well as if anyone has the list of sounds text file referenced earlier in thread, that would be great. Link:: http://www.mediafire.com/file/g3tttq...3u/silence.exe |
Anyone know where/what the sound for Disruption arrow is? the pulsing one, not the short whine.
Dark Armor - Cloak of Fear
Powers/fear2c_loop.ogg
This is the continuing sound that fades out after about 10 seconds. It replays every time you zone and became quite annoying for me.
I'm looking to silence the vet reward blackwand, Can anyone please point me out to what it would be called?
Thanks.
I don't suffer from altitis, I enjoy every minute of it.
Thank you Devs & Community people for a great game.
So sad to be ending ):

What file name do I need to silence the Dark Servant's sound loops? That would be both that deep background bass thrum and the higher pitched sound that is shared with the Sky Raider Porters. That deep bass is rather headache inducing especially, and must go fast, and the other sound is just plain annoying over and over and over and over.

Works like a charm! Not a peep from any of the demons now. My sanity is preserved!

And for the poser above that, I can't remember for certain but try for dark servant darkarmor.ogg and darkarmor2.ogg
edit: I'm pretty sure that darkarmor isnt fluffy, just dark armor itself alas, still looking to silence fluffy myself.
I know it's a longshot as it's not even live yet, but the new menu music on beta is driving me nuts. I really don't like it. Does anyone know the correct path/name/etc to silence it?

Turns out 66 months and a week or two is exactly how long I could stand the recharging power queue sound. Now I can just push all my buttons with reckless abandon and see what happens! Mua ha ha ha!
