I want to believe this.
I have many doubts about this atm because of the SJ nerf. Could you please explain for me the reason for changing SJ in such a way that melees will be required to have Hover to fight Mitochondria?
Then what kind of data mining have you done that is showing the SS and SJ are bad for PvE in their current Live versions???? Yeah sure, they may be the most popular travel powers, but is that REALLY a BAD thing???
I'm real curious to see SOMETHING on why the SS SJ changes have come about... what data is showing these powers as problematic, imbalancing powers???
I'm sorry, but I just can't see how Superjump was a problem in PvE. How are melees supposed to take down Sky Skiffs, with their high hit-points and flight? Or many other flying Sky Raiders in Striga Island or Terra Volta? Apparently Mitos in The Hive are also an issue. This isn't a problem in and of itself? I suppose we NEED ranged guys to do this now.
So now we're going to have to jump to perfection, hope to come up right next to them, AND hope we get that 50% chance of hitting it? That's lame. Very, very lame. The endurance use of it is high to keep it toggled too.
I've never heard Superjump called overpowered, at least not during PvE combat. You can't tell me this isn't because of PvP.

I think its about time you step back and look at what you have done to this game. I have had to do that a couple times just from running a SG. Its not the same game anymore and im about fed up.

True, but you're also definitely never getting any new content for it. Their model is to release new expansions every quarter of the year to keep earning money. So, depending on how much these expansions cost, you might actually end up paying more than a MMOG if you try to keep up with all the expansions.

Um... Do you have a leash on the guys making the power decisions. I'm sure you can't be doing all of it. I'm posative that you can't be making all the design, balance, and work-flow decisions. I mean you need to sleep, right? So, what happens when it's just easier to tweak a power over all rather than just for PvP? Do you even know that it happened?

I do not and will not play PvP and YES it IS Primarily PvP that drives this nerf to SS and SJ.
If you wanted blasters out of the game just ask us to delete them. I am angry that you would even CONSIDER this. Blasters are the weakest of all characters and now you hamstring them.
I am sorry I do not believe you actually play this game any more. Try taking a blaster from level 32 to 50. Try it.

here's a question I haven't heard asked or to which I haven't seen an implied answer. is every hero required to be able to defeat every villain? sky skiffs & a few other mobs fly. isn't that part of their challenge? I remember how annoying they were when my ae-toggle scrapper accidentally agroed some. I could've stood there & impaled them to death. or I could have jumped (I did have sj) and attacked them. instead, tactics came into play, I told my def to stop attacking them, pulled agro & hid. what did the skiff do? he came to within melee range. problem solved.
so, expounding on the initial question: Where is it written that every brainless hero, without giving thought to the problem or any tactics that could be used, should be able to easily defeat every villain encountered?

The fliers usually make at least one major thread a month pointing out that currently fly has FIVE major drawbacks to use, while SS and SJ have maybe one each. If only one of those is changed, it's still not quite justice, but it's certainly long, long overdue.

My question is if Fly had so many drawbacks, why did some many people (myself included use it).
My answer was its advantages still out weighed the weaknesses.
But the fact that some people style of play was "overpowered" means that it was bound to happen I guess. I hope your style of play never becomes overpowered.
I just think they should keep SJ/SS the same, while getting rid of some setback for fly. But that's just me.

There are dozens of changes on every patch that are not argued over. So by your logic, if folks let so many go by, then the ones they argue over are debated for good reason.

I'll bet you big bucks that giving Fly the same speed cap as SS would make the majority of fliers happy. (Still need to slot it up to get there.)
Give it the same base speed and almost no one would be crazy enough to complain.
Or give it the same End burn as SS and have similar results to bumping the speed cap.
If the SJ/SS nerf was brought on only by PvP, they would have made it a PvP only change like they have done to several other powers.
