Was the snaptooth mission the valentine's day one? That one you can run all year down as long as have DJ as a contact.
-
I suspect the naming convention will change soon, with freedom most likely.
-
I use the tabkey bound to similar as Organica, (but not with sapper which I'll now be adding) and use the tilde (~) bound to closest enemy.
Plus I have
/bind control+n optionset ShowVillainName 6
/bind shift+n optionset ShowVillainName 1
which lets me display enemy names on and off in a pack.
I use the numpad by default to select team mates (ie 1=first player on list).
/bind NUMPAD1 "teamselect 1"
/bind NUMPAD2 "teamselect 2"
...
If its a characters that heals or shields etc then its easy to double tap that number on keypad to select and fire off a heal on them. Most (all?) shields effect a group but I still like it set that way to better direct it.
/bind NUMPAD1 "teamselect 1$$powexecname Ice Shield"
/bind NUMPAD2 "teamselect 2$$powexecname Ice Shield"
You could also make a macro if you prefer mouse clicking, and have a tray of
/macro P1 "teamselect 1$$powexecname Ice Shield"
My /thermal will select & cauterize when the press the numpad number, shiift+numpad is Plasma Shield, control+numpad is Fire Shield. I hate pointing and clicking -
Quote:It also increases possible number of targets for mass-confusion.In Mass Confusion, the proc increases the mag so that you MIGHT be able to get a boss or two confused. In the single target Confuse (which I use a lot), it turns a single target confuse into a mini-Mass Confuse when it hits. The single target Confuse lets you take foes out of the fight before it begins, including foes outside of your AoE, ambushes and adds, etc.
I think the Proc is more useful in the single target confuse.
And World of Confusion is pretty much an auto-skip power unless you want it as a set mule. However, the proc is wonderful in Arctic Air.
I use mass confuse for much of listed above - taking foes out, ambushes, adds etc. You can do so before the fight equally well as ST confuse. There's just not much left if you dont hurry afterwards
I'd rather the proc in the power I use more often, and that has more chance to trigger as you're hitting more targets.
But if you're not at permadom recharge, or find that you use ST confuse more than mass confuse - I'd say to put it in the ST for sure. -
ANother factor to consider is the debuff values on the defender versions of DP special ammo are better.
-
I was pondering putting it in terrify. I'll use it 3 times in a minute, get a good chance of it triggering if like other procs it checks every target effected, and I dont _think_ i have anything as good slotted in there.
-
If you have perma-dom level recharge, I'd say put it into mass confusion.
I dont often use the ST confuse as mass confusion is up for most fights, and if not, theres many other things I'd be doing over ST confuse. -
Quote:And then some could /auctionhouse inside the missionWhich would be rather silly. All the danger with none of the reward eh? Not a good direction to take the game in really. Risk vs Reward is a design factor.
I'd think they'd do what TopDoc suggested and probably kill insp on zoning, even if that was only IN the AE building as they can control stuff like that in locations. They prevent that kind of thing with confusion and entering/exiting pvp zones. So maybe they'd do something like that in AE if it was a big deal to them. -
Use inspirations if you are having troubles with the spawns.
Take 3 purple shields and a lot of reds to kill safely and quickly. -

Changes looks really interesting.
Enough to make me get my PB out of retirement to try. Have to respec him for inherent fitness too.
I'd love to see toggle suppression when dropping forms. I wonder if the hiccup is that paying end for suppressed toggles in other forms wouldn't go down well.
Being able to use solar flare when in over is great - though c'mon just make it KD please.
Autohit taunts would be all I'd want for buffing the tanking abilities of khelds. -
There may be a super group transfer system happening after freedom too.
I'd also make sure that you leave at least once character (even a new level 1) in your SG so you dont lose the base. -
Please do petition it.
That way jerks get stopped.
Its also uncommon that multiple people would be targeting your wife, to me it sounds more likley its the same person or few people using different names. In that case, the ignore will block all thier messages regardless of character name. -
I hope the pancake fad dies out.
Somethings come under the 'funny once' tag for me, an dthis is one of them.
Be much less obnoxious if it was just a single PANCAKE. -
Quote:I'd call your team leader a jerk. And the rest of the team weak for not telling the leader so.I'm gonna have to agree with the sentiment above, as long as it's not an exploit and you aren't PLing someone who's only been playing for five minutes it's really just the same as any old farm mish in PI that was created by the devs, we just don't have bridges anymore.
The whole reason people are anti-AE is the AE babies. Heck, I was on a redside team on Virtue last night that was running one of the members' cape mish. We pop out right by ICON, as that map is set in Steel Canyon. One of the members commented along the lines of "I thought this was in Atlas?" and another member (who I won't specifically name but something along the lines of Misterawesomedude53, on virtue mind you) replied "It is Atlas, that's AE right over there." I couldn't help myself, I had to point out that "No, it's Steel, that's ICON right across the river which doesn't exist in Atlas and AE is in every zone. You'd know that if you ever stepped outside of it." Upon seeing this exchange the team leader kicked him, realizing that we'd picked up an AE baby. And that's a light example.
Kicking a player for not recognising a zone? For maybe having played in AE in the past but currently on normal mission. That's worse than the jerks who kick defenders for not having a healing arrow.
Yeah, That will teach them for playing with the real players. -
I wouldnt mind getting hero patron pools, but I'm fine with the hassle of having to go redside for villian patron pools.
Fits thier theme imo. -

I always (mayhaps very incorrectly) assume that blaster creation numbers is weighted by the fact they are first in creation list, and so most often used as name reservation dumps, transfer or prestiage mules, and throwaway accounts by all sorts.

Quote:Would that mean able to be done by one, but less merits and no notice of wells/shard rewards etc?Personally, I'd like to see them made available in Ouro the way the Calvin Scott TF and original Positron TF are. But I'm weird like that.
Might be the way of promoting team play while allowing a solo option that way. -
Quote:I think you will be right, but having 3 trays of enhancements doesn't automatically mean the interface for respecs supports 3 trays....After reading your post it just occurred to me what having 3 trays of enhancement slots would REALLY be useful for. Sure it'll help when you're playing missions or even working the market. But think about doing respecs and having to swap out huge numbers of enhancements in a build. People have complained for years that having only 10 slots made doing massive respec swapping hard because you could only pull out 10 at a time. Now we'll be able to pull out 30 at a time. Thank goodness for small favors.

Quote:Apologies if you felt my post was directed at you personally; it wasn't. Yours was a helpful, non judgemental response.Snark fall out? I was trying to be helpful. Unless you know of some other way to duplicate a character from the test server to the live servers.
It was more a comment about quite a couple of responses that assumed motives or stupidity on the poster, and were generally unhelpful, and more a chance to exercise snarky wit.
However, there were fewer of those than was my impression when I first read the thread, showing I guess how the negative is louder than the positive. -
Despite the snark fall out from your first question; Welcome to the Game.

Quote:Have you followed your own advice and looked at it in an image editor?... Are you people silly in the head or are your monitors not working right? Babs looks plenty black from here. Then again, I've found that being able to properly decode color and light levels is a skill not everyone has. I recall arguing with someone that a drawn character's hair wasn't white, but simply highlighted (i should note the rest of his hair was black, and half his skin was paper-white). Same thing here. Take that image into photoshop and click the drop-tool anywhere that isn't an extreme highlight. The color you'll end up with will be some variant of brown, not peach.
Also, BABs hasn't had dreadlocks in years. His NPC model has NEVER had dreadlocks (His generic CGI model did, but not the in-game model). He had dreadlocks in the Blue King comics but not the Dark Horse ones. So, not having dreads isn't a deal breaker here, folks.
What really bugs me? The FREEDOM logo being all over everything. Doesn't sound right. Just call it City of Heroes. Calling the whole game City of Heroes Freedom is a bit of a confusing mouthful.
I did, and get a whole mess of different colours (as to be expected) and it doesn't really prove much. Sister Psyche has the same colour variations or black, brown and white as Babs and I hope you're not claiming she is black.
The different shadings and lighting effects on both make any sort of eye dropper test pretty damn meaningless.
People are not silly in the head for looking at the image and thinking Babs is lighter skin toned than he has been presented as in the past or in game.(image from paragonwiki)
You really believe that people are silly for not thinking that is the same colour as the comic panel?
~
I do agree completely about the freedom logo though. I bet it also sends many new players to the freedom server :/
