You can also "Hide" from everything whilst doing the respec to ensure you are not disturbed by those that do not bother to check the teaming status or just send blind invites.

    Have a good respec

    All XXX ITF

    Hi Guys,

was on an all Defender MoITF a few weeks back and it was a hoot. We rocked the roof and got the badge without raising a sweat.

It was a real happy team that got together just for fun and the Master thing was always going to be the secondary objective with no blame attached to anybody if we failed it.

So go for it you Def's and you will be smiling at the end.

    Cheers

About your Toons though. I think this will answer questions about them.

    Hi Guys,
just a tip to make things easier. I always start my e-mail title with a B or R to denote it contains stuff from a Blueside or Redside toon. This saves opening a bunch of e-mails just to find they are the wrong side to reclaim.
    Cheers

Edit: or use V or H if you prefer
  7. Hi Guys,

many thanks for all the info, am a happy puppy with peace of mind because of it all Game on!

As to why the moves, well all the playing family are having a clan reunion and us loner "Black Sheep" are going over to the majorities home server for the BBQ and Screenies and festivities/activities.

We will have a D bash and run family TF's/PvP et cetera and generally help get some missing badges. So if you catch the smell of charred sausages wafting about Spankies boardwalk that will be us!

And of course all this is far cheaper/greener than a real flight to Vegas

    Cheers
  8. Hi and welcome,

most important tip is: when using the trains remember that the arrivals and departures areas are two seperate bits

Confused the **** out of me the first time I used the train As in "I just got off the stupid thing so why can't I just get back on again!"

    Have fun
  9. Hi everybody,

am thinking about a short term transfer for one of my Alts and just need to clarify this point.

When you select the "Server Transfer" button you get a pop up information screen which starts

"Transferring a character to another server cannot be reversed & has the following effects:..........."

    Does this mean that:
    1. I then have to leave the Alt on the new server or
    2. just that I cannot then retransfer it back to the original server when I have finished my project or
    3. something else the meaning of which I am missing.

I am just thinking it may be like our "Global" that gets one change only.

Really need to get this clear before I screw up this Alts location.

    Thanks for all inputs,
    Cheers

Second, there seems to be something wrong with the badge completion bars. They don't have a right-hand piece and so look as if they are cut in half. Also, the badge total is not displaying the correct total (though the bar above it seems to be correct except for the aforementioned problem). This only seems to be a problem on the screen in which each category is summarized and not on the screen where you pick your character.
    Hi,

the site looks graphically and mathematically correct to me, I wonder if it is a screen resolution thing. Can you post your browser type and version and screen rez please? And if you got a screenie that would help as well.

Can you tell us the badges that seem to be missing as well. You are aware that there was a problem with those badges that have male/female types not being verified which has now been sorted. You may have to reverify those to get your correct totals.

    Cheers
  11. Hi,

Yipee and a monster slice of pie is due to you and the team

    Thanks
  12. Hi,

think about when doing safeguard/mayhem missions and how usually after the mission completes one team member, who already knows where it is or finds it first, will go and stand next to the exploration badge marker and then all the others go over and individually get it.

    Cheers
  13. Thanks so much StarGeek,

lol I read Aggelakis's post and went "Groan, my sad old brain wil never find them links again"

You are spot on with the assumption of my query and I guess it is just another minor (oh no, that word again) descriptive misadventure that never got addressed by the authors.

Anyway, I checked on one of my toons ingame and I am getting the full 65 feet stealth bonuses so all is calm here.

Thanks and sorry for the confusion
  14. Hi Guys,

so just a stupid question to clarify things in this old brain, do I slot my Celerity Stealth IO into Super Speed or does it have to go into another "Running" power ie Sprint?

The wiki says that SS gives 35 feet of stealth and that the Stealth IO gives 30 feet so if stacked for a total of 65 feet I should be invisible to everything including AV's (54 feet perception), leaving just GM's and drones able to see me?

I also noted that the wiki describes SS as having a "Minor stealth" element when you look at it's power description but in the "Stealth" page it shows it as 35 feet and then above it, is a section called "Minor stealth" which are rated at 30 feet that does not include SS? Seems to be a contradiction there?

    Day Jobs

    Hi,

all fixed so only one day job gets progress. I have heard of rare occasions where you can see two day job icons at the same time but all evidence shows only one will be counting for progress.

    Cheers
  16. Hello everybody,

just want to check before I answer a friends question.

If I check all the "Hidden" options in the Friends (?) menu and get the "You are hidden from everything" message does that that mean I am really invisible (in a communication/presence sense) to everything and everybody whilst I am ingame?

What about channel memberships and the SG online/offline status colour codings et cetera?

If I choose to play solo and have no input into any chat channels am I not ingame to everybody apart from those other players who are near enough to see my AT in zone?

Are there other things I should be aware of that "doing" may compromise that "Hidden" status?

    Thanks

PS: Just to put it in context, and I have cleared this with my friend, they have had a desperately sad time lately and want/need to find some escape into their happy game time but are not ready just yet to get involved in contact. Slowly, slowly till they are ready. So any advise will be really welcome. Thank you.

Agree, having 3 scrappers on a masters run is stupid,
especially when 2 are all that is needed Scrappies Rule

    Hi Ironblade,

that is correct and I apologise if I gave a different impression. What I meant was that seeing the Heal points floating about meant the system was working and I was progressing the badge totals. Sort of like a visual "comfort blanket" that all was well

Cheers and hope you get them all soon Big
  19. Hi Big,
this is a copy/paste job from an earlier thread. Hope it helps some. I did get all the badges fairly quickly.

"well it is now 2.5 hours later and I am the proud owner of the first healing badge "Medic"

    So an update as promised:

    1. yes, it is as easy as you all said

Now a few points for those who, like I was, are Arena virgins,

    1. you can access the arena from anywhere in the game using the Menu - Arena option! I was travelling from the shards back to PI Arena everytime till I remembered.

    2. I used two accounts running on one machine.

    3. You have to set up your Gladiator team choices from the first popup screen and then these are remembered for future sessions.

    4. The correct Longbow Warden choice is the most expensive one at 500 things each. It is not labelled Longbow Warden 2. (Why not Dev's?)

    5. I used the following settings,

    Match - Gladiator
    Type - Last man standing
    Players - 2
    Map - Office (2-20)

    6. I then set up my second account Toon's gladiator choices as at 3 above.

7 Then using the first account I listed the event and using the second account selected and joined it.

    8. When we were ready I started the event and watched it all happen. I was getting 165 points of healing from each Warden healer in turn.

    9. The end"

Remember you need three Healers and then just use up all your points with the cheapest you can get. And yes this method goes not need any combat or contact with the two sides as the Healers will start straight away

    Cheers
  20. Hello everybody,

not a new player, but am a new lvl 45 tank holder that I want to take on hami raids.

I have run the Hami lots of times, usually on my Scrappie, so am familiar with the raid process but not about the tankers role.

I have read all the guides and threads that I could find but as most of them are now Issue 9 old I wanted to ask the following if I may:

    1. Is the Tanking system on current Hami's the same as those guides describe?

    2. What should I NOT be doing that might cause screw ups?

    3. Does the taunt rotation thing still happen and where do I go if not active taunter?

    4. Do I just stand about with my toggles down and powers idle till it is my turn to be taunter?

Any responses/suggestions/experiences et cetera that will make me more effective in the Hami will be gladly received

I am on an Inv/Fire and will hopefully be 50 by the time I jump into the Hive.

    Thanks so much.
  21. Hi,

great answer, we actually did all this but not the last step of turning trays off

With them on and the "children trays" open you can still hit the arrows.

I have the players global so I will e-mail them this workaround asap. You have given them a game changing boost

On their behalf I say thank you very much.

    Cheer

PS: I forgot to check which of the Debt badges they were on
  22. Hello,

Is there a way to lock the arrows on either side of the power trays number (1-9) so that when locked it acts like the Powers locked option in the Misc menu of the options menu?

I ask, because I was just on a team with a Tank that kept faceplanting, but otherwise was a good player!

The owner explained that they had minor co-ordination/sight problems and in the heat of battle sometimes hit the right side arrow instead of power number one in that tray.

They kept their attacks in tray one - powers 1-6 and their toggles in tray two - powers 1-5.

So what was happening was that they would hit the arrow so making tray one into tray two, and then instead of attacking for the alpha were toggling off all their defences!

Not a happy state of affairs! We had a good long chat about alternative strategies which they had tried but the easiest still seemed to be to lock the tray number.

Can this be done at the moment? Thanks for any ideas and sorry if this is a bit muddled by way of problem description.

    Cheers

Thank you very much DarkEther for the swift response. And a happy bunny it made me

Off to give a few impoverished lowbie Alts on Protector 2nd account an early christmas prezzie!

    Hi guys,

so (assume blue to blue/red to red only) can I send stuff across servers now using:
    1. my global on the same account and/or
    2. via a second account global?

  25. Hi,

no idea about the Deluxe version but the CoH Collectors DVD set is available if you have a look on Amazon main sight (USA not UK).

It is 89$ US (£69) and they have a couple new in stock. Do not get a used one for obvious reasons!

    Best of luck.
