How hidden is "Hidden"? Not about Stalkers!

When you're "hidden from everything" it pretty much means every channel possible. Blocks you from getting invites as well. The only way to be seen online is for someone physically see your character walking around. Which is difficult considering nobody is looking for you if they don't think you're there.

As the posters have said, Hidden is in fact, hidden.
My default mode is Hidden from Searches (/whoall, teaming screens, etc.)
When I *really* don't want to be bothered at all, I also hide from SG, friends,
Global Friends and Channels, and I can assure you - it works...
Friends of mine know I play that way, and given that they often can't see
if I'm on or not, they just shoot me a blind /tell... If I choose to answer it,
then they know I'm on - otherwise, they have no idea. You really are Hidden.
Unless somebody actually sees your toon standing there in the game, they
have no way of telling if you're logged on or not depending on the settings.
Frankly, it's one of the features I love about the game

I believe but am not sure that setting your "looking for team" flag makes you visible. Can anyone confirm?

Pretty much the only way you can give yourself away while hidden, short of the blind chance of someone running past your character standing on the map, is for you to say something in a channel (which of course announces your presence to anyone who may be following said channel). This doesn't change any of your hidden settings, it just lets people know you are in fact online.

I certainly understand about a mood so dark that you don't want to see or talk to anyone. Hope your friend works through the trauma and is able to rejoin the world cuz it will still be here doing its thing.

Likewise if they add something to, or take something out of SG/VG storage, the log will record what time they did it. But again, you'd have to really have a stalker for someone to determine that you were online in that manner.

If you go to sirens call you may still be the bounty for the otherside. Kind of a give away that you are online and in sirens

Hello everybody,
just want to check before I answer a friends question.
If I check all the "Hidden" options in the Friends (?) menu and get the "You are hidden from everything" message does that that mean I am really invisible (in a communication/presence sense) to everything and everybody whilst I am ingame?
What about channel memberships and the SG online/offline status colour codings et cetera?
If I choose to play solo and have no input into any chat channels am I not ingame to everybody apart from those other players who are near enough to see my AT in zone?
Are there other things I should be aware of that "doing" may compromise that "Hidden" status?

PS: Just to put it in context, and I have cleared this with my friend, they have had a desperately sad time lately and want/need to find some escape into their happy game time but are not ready just yet to get involved in contact. Slowly, slowly till they are ready. So any advise will be really welcome. Thank you.
