Quote:AE Edition? That courtesy of the U.S. DRD Department of the U.S.?Even if you cannot find a box for cheap, if you do enjoy playing, buy the "box" edition ($19.99) from the NCSoft Store - as Willowpaw mentioned, it includes the free month, so worst case scenario you are paying 5 bucks for the pack, instead of 9.99.
This holds true for all the "goddie" packs with a matching box (mainly, after 1 AE edition and the GvE, the Mac pack).
Note, you can only apply the AE edition once. I recommend the Magic booster (first). -
Quote:Just make sure it is not arbiter sand. That could send you to the hospital.Taking a random shot in the dark, /stuck might fix whatever problem you're having. Except if your hair is on fire. /stuck will just teleport you along with your burning hair a few feet over in space. In that case I recommend a bucket of sand or water. Water is preferable. But dangerous if it's a grease fire. So in the case that your hair is covered in burning grease, you should smother the flame with generous fists full of sand.

Nothing wrong with that actually. I am pretty sure that the usage of a noun as a verb has been acceptable for several centuries.
The more serious issue is your unintentional contribution to the eventual genricizing of Google's trademark by using it as a synonym for searching the Web. -
Kitsap Peninsula here. No snow; plenty of rain. That is how Winter is supposed to be around these parts. And that is just the way (uh-huh uh-huh) I like it (uh-huh uh-huh).

Quote:Since no one else has said it yet, I will. The best thing is that you now get good cell coverage even in an ancient Roman city. The downside is that all these ancient Romans walk around discussing the latest happenings in Rhode Island.
Just be wary of those Roman charges. They are killer. -
Quote:Not all PBs take Dwarf form. For some builds, it just isn't worth sacrificing some other power. Fortunately, in Human form we have Light Form. That provides all sorts of protections (including stun), and magnificent resistances excluding Psionic.Don't PB's also have the ability to toggle on Drawf form to get out of any being stunned?
The only drawback is the 90% HP and the big endurance crash. But by the time that kicks in, whatever you were fighting should be eating pavement. And otherwise, if you monitor your buff icons closely, you can always be sure to pop Conserve Energy just as Light Form's Icon is going blinky blinky, and once it crashes, you can easily pop off your two heals after the crash, then pop a couple blue candies to refill your endurance. -
Just to clarify, you get a choice of either the Magic Booster or the Cyborg Booster.
Also, if you shop around, you may be able to find the full GvE edition for about the same price as the GvE items pack itself. And that would include an additional month of game time (valued at $15). -
Quote:The Jingle Jet lasts only 30 days real time though. Fortunately, you can pull a Captain Castillo and wear a Raptor Pack indoors. The Raptor Pack has the exact same slowdown as the Jingle Jet. On my lowly level 17 Blaster I just tested it on, both the Jingle Jet and the Raptor Pack suppressed down to 4.35 mph.Stealth has no effect on Siphon Speed, so I'm doing the tappity-tap-tap method.
In other news, Jingle Jet has the most massive slowdown in combat. I didn't jot down numbers but it is approximately zero.
That is a much more sensible alternative than using up a power selection just to fit in Hover. -
Quote:At least that would make the price of purple recipes plumet to insanely low levels.Aw come on, it wouldn't be all that bad guys!
As long as we could turn off exp at 49.
And since everyone else has exhausted the supply of Hell No, I will go all Dr. Evil here and say...
"How about...NO!" -
What server in partiucular? I know on some servers I have characters who still have the mission and who have significantly outleveled it to where it is green or very gray. They could get you the badge easy enough.

Quote:The Zephyrs are the big issue here. Winter's Gift is almost completely irrelevant in the equation. That is because all of the WG pieces are uniques, meaning only one per character.Yeah, but unless you want/need a lot of Slow Resistance or Knockback protection, you'd have to spend some slots to get the set bonuses.
So even if you could slot UT sets in the sprints, it would be impossible to get more than 20% slow resistance from the Winter's Gift piece, since you can only slot one, period.
And I am not sure if this is common knowledge or not, but there are non-travel powers that can take UT sets as well. Two that immediately come to mind are Accelerate Metabolism from Radiation Emission and Speed Boost from Kinetics. I'm sure there are more, but I can't think of them at the moment. -
Believe me. I'm still alive.
I feel fantastic and I'm still alive.
I'm doing science and I'm still alive... -

It's really probably best to just send them an e-card and save the physical gifts for friends and family. -
That sounds like a sensible idea (the mini-respec that is, not the original suggestion).
Also, while we are at it, I would at the very least like the ability to shuffle enhancements around within the power they are slotted in, just for the sake of tidiness. -
Does the Smuggler badge need to "charge up" like the day job accolade powers do? If so, you need to stay logged off near a ferry for a few days to reap the benefits of being a Smuggler.
-
Perhaps one is heroes and the other is villains? (one with the scratch card and the other without) I've never seen either CE sets, so I would not know.
-
Then in that case, my advice to anyone considering buying something like this from the "Used" listings is to email the seller and ask to see the card. If they are unwilling to do that, then passing on their item is the best course of action.
-
On the CE sets, is the code in plain sight, or did they do like the GvE set and put it on a card with the code covered in silver Dreamonium? (you know, that stuff that goes on lotto tickets that you scratch off)
If it is a scratchoff code and the seller can verify that the stuff is intact, then opened and classed as "used" would be acceptable. Otherwise, the default would be to assume that the code is no good any more.
NC should implement a system so resellers can check and see if a code from an opened package is unused or not without having to try to apply the code to an account and thus render it unusable. -
I thought that the purpose of EBs was to provide essentially a soloable version of an AV. It's the AVs that were not intended to be soloable.
-
Just be sure to avoid these:
http://www.amazon.com/gp/offer-listi...condition=used
Those are all scumbag scammers who are trying to gouge unsuspecting gamers on 100% useless used copies. -
Don't feel too embarrassed. My Fire/Energy Blaster got totally spanked trying to solo the Envoy of Shadow. Nos is in the Envoy's league as far as WTFness goes. That was her most intense humbling moment through her career.
And she never did actually get to learn the Envoy's true name (I'm still guessing it is Willard). -
Quote:I agree, it is just not possible for the average person to envision such a large value. Heck, some people (like myself for example) have tremendous difficulty envisioning metric measurements as opposed to the imperial system us older folk grew up with. Can you really gain meaning or context with numbers like:
"There are a total of 192^524,288 costume combinations."
We can't possibly fathom a number like that, or even have a name for it. It's just "a really really huge number okay" which may as well be infinite. My computer calculator can't even process it.
So that being said, let's just say there are a buttload of possible combinations. (That is an imperial buttload of course, since I can't properly envision a metric buttload.) -
Oops. Meant to fix the quote and change Outcasts to Hellions. I'm certain others were able to read between the lines and mentally make that change.
-
How about changing the name of one of the AOEs to Blisterine, and adding a slow or sleep: ByeQuil (name altered to a parody to avoid trademark issues). Remember, not all alcohol-laden liquids are drinks.
-
Wow! It's rather difficult to imagine anyone not on a trial account these days not having the GvE pack. That is just too useful to not have.
